Then they said to one another, "We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news. If we are silent and wait until the morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come; let us go and tell the king's household." 2 Kings 7:9 ESV

Today’s key verse is the fifth time the bible says someone is not doing right. This is the sixth time God’s Word uses the wonderful phrase good news. The implication is clear: the right and best thing is to tell good news!

Today’s key verse is the second time scripture uses the word silent. And it’s the second to last time it uses the phrase morning light. The implication is clear: tell good news now, without delay. Why? Because everyone from gatekeepers to the king needs and wants to hear good news!

Toss the idea that the vast majority of people don’t want to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Many do! And what is that Good News? First, who Jesus is: eternally true God, who came to earth two thousand years ago, lived a perfect life, taught for scores of hours, performed hundreds of miracles, and fed thousands of people.

Second, that Jesus did: died for you and your sins, was buried, rose again the third day, and appeared to His followers for nearly six weeks (1 Corinthians 15:1-7).

Prayer: Lord, You are the Good News. May I talk about You again soon!

It reminds me:

English Standard Version Nahum 1: 15............The messenger,,The Runner as The Watchman in The Tower, sees Him Coming, with The Swiftness of The Gait of The Stride of His Feet, The Stride of a Messenger, Bringing Good news. "How beautiful"

"Behold, upon the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace! Keep your feasts, O Judah; fulfill your vows, for never again shall the worthless pass through you; he is utterly cut off."

New American Standard Bible
Behold, on the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace! Celebrate your feasts, Judah, Pay your vows. For never again will the wicked one pass through you; He is eliminated completely.

Romans 10:15
And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

I do thank you , for the traveling Thought of "GOD's WORD" it is Living and it is not dead, The Spirit Gives it Life, But The Letter killeth.

I do thank you my brother , There is nothing like "Manna" "The Daily Bread" "Breaking bread' sometimes even a "mere Morsel" will do, if it falls from the right table.
