God is God of course... He can do whatever He wants, whenever He wants. But He doesn't break His word.
Rom 11:25 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;
God could have done something in the past, but He's not going to do something ..."until"... the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
Matt 24:13 "But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.
Matt 24:14 "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
The "end" could come today, or it could come tomorrow... I don't know... but I do know one thing, it won't happen until the gospel
is preached to "whole world" as a testimony to "all" the nations.
Matt 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
Mark 13:32 "But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
Mark 13:33 "Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.
These passages could be interpreted a number of ways.
1. Jesus didn't know then, but He knows now.
Mark 13:14 "But when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
Surely Jesus will know when the abomination of desolation occurs.
Surely Jesus will know when the man of lawlessness takes his place in the temple.
2. Jesus still doesn't know exactly when it will happen, but He knows the events and seasons that signal that time.
Mark 13:7 "When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end.
Mark 13:8 "For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will also be famines. These things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
Mark 13:9 "But be on your guard; for they will deliver you to the courts, and you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them.
Mark 13:10 "The gospel must first be preached to all the nations.
Surely Jesus will see and hear of these things and He will know the time is close.
The argument is... no will know when it's going to happen... I agree with that.
But they continue on to say... Just go with when the tribulation starts, and add 7 years.
Will we know when the tribulation starts? Some say it has already started. So then.. what date are you adding the 7 years to?
How many days are you adding?
Dan 12:11 "From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
Dan 12:12 "How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days!
