Those contemplating suicide have need of patience, which can only come about by tribulation.

Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

It stands to reason why we need Jesus Christ & His help in supplying all the fruits of the Spirit in us so we can have patience.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:...
...11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

The meaning of the parable of the Sower as explained by Jesus Christ to His disciples.

Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Even when family & other people betrays you, such tribulation can work patience within us.

Luke 21:16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 15:1We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

May those that suffer suicidal thoughts because of afflictions & tribulations, in putting them down in patience and in hope, help those who have no hope.

1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

2 Corinthians 6:3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Colossians 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12 Giving thanks unto the Father,
which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

2 Thessalonians 1:3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

For Christians that are thinking about committing suicide, you should consider what kind of a witness you are leaving behind. Please do not do this but go to the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer for help each and every day.

Hi GB4U,

Thank you for these posts; I've just liked each one of them. Here's one more verse for you - For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 NKJV.

9 out of 10 people, Christian or non that contemplate suicide, there has to be a mental health issue going on there so any readers of this thread that are having suicidal thoughts, get help immediately. It's worse still for a Christian with mental health problems because Satan loves to explore and exploit all our weaknesses by planting irrational doubts in their head about unpardonable sins and being outside of God's love and Jesus's salvation. Learn to distinguish between normal every day thoughts and irrational despondency thoughts, ignoring and archiving the latter. Focus instead upon the positive, God's love, Jesus's sacrifice, our Heavenly reward, God's gifts (Holy Spirit, Bible, church, brothers & sisters etc) and learn to trust and relax in God's love, protection, care and provision, remembering that God is all powerful and all loving to each of us individually.

Mental health is no different to other congenital problems such as diabetes, asthma, dermatitis etc. The route of most mental health problems is a chemical hormone imbalance; so to the reader with issues, go and get yourself sorted and with the correct medication you should be able to overcome this terrible condition.

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day :blush:

Many that have taken that route, including myself, medication makes it worse. Plus, man cannot be there for you all the time when you need help and so that support system is flawed as well as vain with sinners & unperfect Christians.

Psalm 60:11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

I have heard that medication has helped the bipolar, but in regards to depression when the side effects of some medication can cause suicidal thoughts, or for my case paranoid schizophrenic, it doesn't help at all. There are no ringing endorsement. One can call the help line to get hopefully, wise counsel or sound advise, but if all they do is shuttle you to admit yourself, then know that all a psychiatrist is going to do is prescribe medication as an answer for everything. They do have sessions for giving coping mechanism in dealing with stress, but that is more practical help than the empty promises of medication. But saved for those that give medication to those while staying in Behavioral Health Unit where they are responsible for your health care like if you are diabetic or have heart problems, I can see how the patients there are exploited like scurrying them out the door so they can take advantage of their dinner when it comes. I could have eaten my dinner before I had left. Indeed, not everything that I order came while I was there and so makes me wonder if somehow they help themselves to that too. So the people that are there come across as it is just a job to them now. It is a stressful job I suppose, and it can get to them eventually where they have to apply coping mechanism not to get close but worse yet, be tempted to see patients as a means to exploit or take their own grievances out on to get some plus out of their job.

Being hard of hearing, the speaker wearing mask makes it hard for me to hear and follow. Some pull the mask down, but not all. Covid 19 did strike there infecting everyone for why staff are to wear the masks.

They did hype me up about having a support system for when I leave, but the Community Counseling Center lost a psychiatrist to retirement and was pending a replacement still and the therapist assigned to me on the first day just went over the information in the computer from that day I came in for registering and so not getting immediate practical help right away. The other psychiatrist that was assigned to me, the secretary called and had to cancel my first appointment with him but when I announced that I was getting off of the drug, she cancelled the updated appointment the following month. I did cut my pills in half in weening me off of the drug and my family doctor prescribed sedative in case I had any side effects from withdrawals symptom in setting off of the drug and so far none yet. Been more than a month now and feeling a whole lot better being off of 1 mg of Risperidone. It was starting to affect me jogging and then getting depressed from unable to do so since exercise does help elevate depression, as it felt like I was plodding along when walking ... it was just worse under medication.

Convinced that I need a psychiatrist to help me ween me off, I went to look for one a Dr. Regal, a recommendation from my mother by way of a family doctor from church but I kept getting hung up and so I went there to talk to them. I saw a patient walk out of there and nobody else in the room and yet they say they were not taking in any more patients. I said the web site says you are, but they claim they do not have control over the website or its content. So they told me to call the hospital, the BHU, and I did but Dr. Novorro was out with Covid 19 after I had been released and so they wanted me to go back in and talk to the secretary at the desk of Dr. Regal. I did and even handed my folks' cell phone to her. After talking to her, the secretary said they would get a hold of Dr. Novorro and call me at home, but when I got home, time was passing by and so I called the BHU again. The person that answered claimed no one had called them and nobody knew about getting a hold of Dr. Novorro or anything regarding myself at all. Then they told me that I had to call outpatient and the number they gave me was Dr. Regal. Talk about a run around. The Lord kept my cool as He was assuring me that He will help me off of the drug by cutting the 1 mg in half and take that for a week which was just about how much I had left in taking it twice a day.

Although my insurance company would support me having a therapist a week, she kept moving my appointments further and further away from a week after about 4 sessions. The impression she was giving was she was getting more clients or patients and I do not know this to be true or not when there were nobody in the waiting room waiting next to come in to see her. It is probably that she realizes she cannot give me any more practical help in dealing with my paranoid schizophrenic for why she is scooting me down the line from being a weekly visit.

In the news, there is an announcement of increase in mental illness due to people contracting covid 19 and so on top of domestic abuse and drug addictions on the rise because of the pandemic and people not working, I felt I should stop seeing her altogether so she can use her tome to give practical help to people like that even though I am sure hey will be disappointed if all she does on the first day is go over the intake information on the computer.

So anyway, that support system is vain and empty of promises. When they psych patients up for people to be their support system, I can understand why they would go into a panic. They just have to accept the reality that vain is the help of man for why the Lord is our true help in our times of need.

I cannot allow my experience of one facility be the standard of all facilities, but I am giving just cause for why we should not rely on man for help. Maybe others can get the support they need without being made desperate to rely on them with the Lord's help, to avoid panic, when it just isn't there any more, but I am done with them.

I still get visits from my Behavioral Health Manager as I have an appointment with him next week. How long that lasts, with the increasing rise of mental illness due to the pandemic is anybody's guess but his calendar has a lot of openings from what I can see.

But again, the Lord has been my help as I suffer the background voices in my head and other strange voice or voices that should come like one morning at 4 A.M., another voice among the voices of those who have access to my thoughts, was singing Amazing Grace. Tried to zone it out, like the ringing in my ears and those other voices, but got up and went on the computer for a while.

Like Paul suffering his thorn in the flesh of a messenger of Satan to buffet him in the flesh of which I take it to mean he was hearing accusing voices in his head, God's grace is sufficient for me to help me through with my thorn in the flesh.

So once again... they can call the help line but if they are not going to give practical help like wise counsel or good advise over the phone for whatever you are going through, but just shuttle you to a psych unit to admit yourself, ask the Lord if that is really the best course of action for you and trust Him to be with you always to help you through whatever awaits you when He is leading you to go in for help.

Psalm 60:11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

Thank you for sharing.

Hi GB4U,

I had no idea you were talking about yourself: what a moving testimony and thank you for opening up and sharing so publicly.

Just said a prayer for you. May God care for you and protect you from 'wonky thoughts' and bring you through to a wonderful healed life.

Just note, if you want to chat, I'm only an IM away.

May God bless you richly.

Thanks for the offer.

Still, Jesus is there for me all the time is why I can rely on Him, no offense.

May God bless you and keep you. May He shine His face upon you & give you His peace.

Those contemplating suicide have need of patience, which can only come about by tribulation.
In my mother's case, she'd been Christian for over 50 years, and also suffered from what was called "Fibrositus" - an inflammation of ALL the muscles in her body, now called FIbro-Myalgia.

It resulted in an unrelenting and growing physical agony that the medical community had no remedy for, and pain killers wouldn't even touch. At the end of her life she was bed ridden, and unable to do much of anything because of the constant pain. The last time we talked she asked me if there was anything in the Bible that would allow her to "end the suffering. I had to tell her that I knew of nothing.

Mercifully, she only lasted a few months beyond that point, and passed away from heart failure, ending the constant agonizing torture of living.

I'm not suicidal (I was before I was Born Again), but at the age of 80, and with lower back pain, muscle weakness, and congestive heart failure growing worse, If I KNEW that I'd die in my sleep tonight, I'd go to bed NOW, and get it over with.

I have heard when one of the elderly couple dies, the other dies a short period later as if they just gave up the ghost. Such couples could not stand to be apart from the other.

I often wonder why one cannot give up the ghost in the same way in the face of physical suffering, but I can understand it when believers pray for the Lord to take them and soon. No harm in asking, as in let the Father's will be done and not ours which was the way Jesus had prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane when asking the Father for this cup to pass from Him which of course, the Father had answered no.

Was it necessary to impress on the dying that this life for the way it is, is not worth keeping or treasuring so as to leave this kind of life forever behind in being perfect, living with God, never looking back? I know not, but we will know the truth one day when we see Him face to face.

Dear Brother, @GodB4Us
My heart goes out to you, and I have prayed, and will pray again for you!

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Thank you, brother Nick.

I am praying for you that the Lord will help you through your time of need over the loss of your wife as well as your testimony regarding Him so that no one will doubt they are saved for having believed in Jesus Christ.

In one of the papers I had on me when leaving the hospital, it was on the drug I was taking Risperidone, where it listed side effects and other information like not to be taken when having dementia. I did not have myself checked for that and wondered if taking it will exacerbate the problem as the paper warned since I am having problems with memory recall and comprehension because of the drug.

Since off the drug, I am better, but I find online search engine a list of links telling me they prescribe Risperidone to patients with dementia. Between the paper and the online search results, I find it hard to believe anything now from that field of help. Do they know what they are doing or is it purposefully misinformation or lack thereof like they are doing now with Covid 19 and the vaccines with the boosters for it?

Only God knows for sure, but regardless of the unknown, I can go to the Lord in prayer for help and peace of mind that He cares for me always and helps me not to worry about stuff like that or how people are helping themselves to my home at night.

Up late because I am hearing what sounds like a weeping or a long but low wailing moaning sound. Coming out of the bathroom, I had thought I had seen something like footsteps floating away from me into the computer room but went to bed. The sound persisted and so I got up to see if the Lord was wanting me to be on the computer for something. He has done this before in other ways like making me uncomfortable to go back to sleep with abdominal dull aches or pinches which also happened tonight and so I got up to go on the computer.

I do not know what it is or if it was the Lord this time directing me to go on the computer, because I do not see the just cause for why it could not wait till morning, but anyway... in case someone is in need..

Anyone contemplating suicide, no matter how bad it is or how you know it will get worse tomorrow, no matter how you believe no one can help you, go to the Lord in prayer and He will help you through whatever you are going through.

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Peter 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1 Peter 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Time for bed as I am hoping in the Lord that He has intervened so I can go to sleep in spite of that noise I am still hearing. I can zone out the constant ringing in my ears and ignore the other voices in my head of what I believe are people having access to my thoughts, and so He will help me to zone out this extra noise tonight. My heart goes out to anyone hurting tonight but the answer is the same and that is to go to Jesus Christ in prayer.

I have heard when one of the elderly couple dies, the other dies a short period later as if they just gave up the ghost. Such couples could not stand to be apart from the other.
Same with Grand Parents on my father's side. Grandpa died from a serious injury, and Grandma (who had been in perfect health) followed a month or so later.

@GodB4Us
All drugs have interactions. We're not meant to take them yet here we are. If modern drugs and Pharmacy hadn't been created and elevated this well we would be living much longer.
My dad's wife (not my mother) has dementia and she is on some for it. I don't know enough about it.
All of Medicine isn't bad or gone. Since the MSM is and has not been giving us the Truth it's hard to know how many of us there are. We are far more in number than you think and some on here who are brainless sheep who follow whatever their Tel-lie-vision tells them to.
I learned long ago that someone who has a "very busy brain" can have more neurons than others and can "think" about more things at once. I get going with so much I can briefly forget simply things even when I know the word or am looking at something. I strive to keep my mind busy and sharp.
In this, we know that Medical workers are misdiagnosing people for money and job security.
Our brains are amazing things. Just b/c we experience something it doesn't mean something's wrong. After the military, I had to get a lot of tests for my disability. At rare random times I would "hear" my ex-wife's voice and smell her perfume (long story).
Before I became a Christian when I almost gave up going back to church, God spoke to me. It was on a Sunday and I was tired, scared of going back, and other things and heard "Get up. Go to church." It was a male voice and a stern command. After a few moments, I got up got dressed and went to church.
God works in mysterious ways may be an overused statement but when He does and has affected you then that statement is 100% true.
I do know that God will answer prayers when and how he sees fit.
Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Suicides do NOT go to Heaven. The idea they do is 100% contradictory to God and the Bible.

Thank you for sharing.
Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Suicides do NOT go to Heaven. The idea they do is 100% contradictory to God and the Bible.
Can you show that by the scripture? I can show otherwise by the scripture.

Former believers that would verbally deny Him for why He would deny them and saints that die in iniquity for why He would deny them too, their spirits do go to Heaven because He still abides in them. They will be resurrected after the great tribulation as vessels unto dishonor in His House, vessels of wood and earth, that serves the King of kings on earth.

2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal,
The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour,
sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

So what a believer does in living his or her life with Christ and what they build on that foundation or what they do with their salvation will be judged.

1 Corinthians 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Defiling the body and killing the body by suicide can be seen as the same thing when defiling the body will bring about physical death.

So if a former believer and an unrepentant saint that dies in sin have their spirits going to Heaven, then those saints who failed to look to Jesus for help but take the easy, but risky painful way out, worse case scenario is that they survive and be in worse shape than before, but if they should die, their spirits will be with the Lord Who is in Heaven too.

2 Corinthians 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

So killing oneself, will be judged by what the person did to the body as well as not turning to the Lord for help when He is in them and with them always to overcome any tribulation we may be going through on earth.

At times, I have prayed to the Lord to take me, nevertheless, let the Father's will be done and not mine. Then I was led by Him at various times to give thanks to the Father in Jesus's name for the good I have, to lighten the misery of my life. He can help anyone look for the good in their lives to give thanks to offset the misery. Then He helped me to be content with what I have & not to worry about how my enemies are helping themselves to my things.

But for those saints that have passed on, Jesus still abides in them for why their spirits will be with Him in Heaven, but then they will wished they hadn't done it, seeing Him and His care for them face to face.

John 6:
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Unless you have any scripture to the contrary, I am not sure where you got the idea that suicides do NOT go to Heaven. and that the idea they do is 100% contradictory to God and the Bible when I do not see that at all.

@GodB4Us
All drugs have interactions. We're not meant to take them yet here we are. If modern drugs and Pharmacy hadn't been created and elevated this well we would be living much longer.
My dad's wife (not my mother) has dementia and she is on some for it. I don't know enough about it.
This is on the paper I was given at Behavorial Health Unit on Risperidone

Upper left hand corner says "Steward Central East Live HCIS" with central heading as "Pharmacy Monograph"

Skipping down a paragraph and a few lines to this paragraph:

"WARNING: There may be a slightly increased risk of serious, possibly fatal side effects (such as stroke, heart failure, fast/irregular heartbeat, pneumonia) when this medication is used by older adults with dementia. This medication is not approved for the treatment of dementia-related behavior problems. Discuss the risks and benefits of this medication, as well as other effective and possibly safer treatments for dementia-related behavior problems, with the doctor."

I highlighted and underlined that portion of the warning and wondering if I am reading this right or not, that nobody should be prescribing risperidone to patients with dementia period, regardless of age?

My nephew, whom is a Pharmacist, confirmed this general information. I told him that the search engine online does lists a lot of links using Risperidone for the treatment of patients with dementia.

Bing Search results for Risperidone and dementia

I had asked him who police prescriptions? He said the Board of Medicine but conveyed that there is one in each state. I inquired if all the Board of Medicine are the same in each state regarding the do's and don't's of prescription drugs. He said usually.

I have heard of poor women going in for abortions that are purposefully sterilized to prevent further pregnancies as if the doctors are doing society a favor. Then you have the people behind the Georgia Guidestones that believe the world population should be reduced to a half a billion. Are they behind this? Are they doing it on purpose in doing the world a favor?

Anyway, not sure if I am giving you an appropriate heads up or not. Check with the Board of Medicine in your state. Try not to be tempted in going "Avengers Assembled!!!" on this. Jesus is still Lord.

I did e-mail what I think is the Board of Medicine in Pennsylvania about this. Hopefully I have contacted the right department that they may send alerts to other Boards of Medicine in other states and/ or notify the appropriate federal agencies to contact all those people behind those web sites that prescribe risperidone to people with dementia.
