Well - That was a waste of time Didn't even cite Heb 11:1, which give two attributed that BIBLICAL FAITH must have:
SUBSTANCE - i.e. you can safely out your WEIGHT on it, and it'll hold you. "Belief" (Mental assent) has no substance, and is only valid until something better, or more convincing comes along. you have to hold onto,and Defend your "Belief".. Biblical Faith "holds onto you".
EVIDENCE - i.e. Faith is incontrovertible evidence that the thing you DON'T detect/observe with you senses Is real nonetheless. "Belief" is evidence of NOTHING, except how you happen to feel at the time.
In addition, Biblical FAITH comes from GOD'S WORD TO YOU (Rom 10:17) Abram, had GOD'S WORD that he was supposed to leave everything and everybody, and go to a place that God would show him. Based ONLY on that WORD, with no other external evidence, he packed up and left.

This is how the writer of Hebrews defines faith, in relation to the men and women of faith he was about to list in Hebrews 11. Though as is seen by the concordance definitions in relation to the rest of Scripture (above) this definition does not define all usage.
This could be the basis of a good study, I look forward to seeing how it progresses.

The Lord Jesus Christ is indeed, 'the faith that did appear,' as you say.
Regarding my usage of the name 'Jesus Christ' instead of 'Yeshua': the Lord is in no doubt as to Whom I am referring; being one who has no knowledge of the Hebrew language.
Thank you for the scriptures referenced. Though you reference (Jere. 31:31-34; Heb. 10:15-17) which will apply to redeemed Israel in days to come.

Some thing is wrong with people, especially those who talk about the English word “Jesus”. They got so many “English” speaking pronounciatons, Transliterations, all kinds of English speaking titles, not even realizing the year the English Dialect and the year English biblical words were even coined into a word..
It it is sickening in this later modern day computer age, this dumb stuff is popping up like “kettle pop corn”!
Like English been around since AD 55.

Faith causes the invisible to become visible. By faith, Moses saw him who was invisible. (Heb 11:27)
Faith is a spirit. We have the same spirit of faith.... (2 Cor 4:13)
The spirit of faith comes when it hears the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. ( Romans 10:17) (Faith comes by hearing the voice of Jesus)
We are required to have faith in Jesus.

Thank you for the correction re. the Hebrew name for the Lord Jesus Christ.
However I disagree with your understanding regarding these things. For me to explain in what way I disagree will be fruitless, for it is before God we stand, and on Him we rely in order to understand anything that is of the Spirit. So, I pray instead that His will, will be done in each one of us, for His Name and glory's sake.

We rely on faith all the time as we don't have control over everything. We have faith in all kinds of things and people and protocols and systems. If you drive a car, then you have faith in that car's manufacturer. If you order something online, you expect to receive it, then you have faith in the seller, the online platform and the delivery system. If you work with a colleague, then you have faith in that colleague who's expected to do their job. If a friend made a promise to you, you have have in that friend to uphold their end of the bargain. But obviously, none of these is a saving faith. All of these will fail you, only God always keeps his promise. So the question is not the definition of faith, but in whom do we really have faith.

I notice you didn't BOTHER with the pivotal verse that DOES define faith - i.e. Heb 11:1.
It states TWO NECESSARY ATTRIBUTES that "FAITH" has to possess in order to actually BE BIBLICAL FAITH.
Firstly it has to have SUBSTANCE. This eliminates "Mental assent" - "simple belief". Mental assent HAS NO SUBSTANCE. Not only that but the person has to "hold onto" and DEFEND their "belief", and only holds it until something "BETTER" comes along that tickles their fancy more strongly. Biblical FAITH hold onto YOU. you can put you full weight on it, and it stands firm.
Secondly, Biblical FAITH is a solid EVIDENCE, of the thing you don't see.
I'm homing in on the END of physical life (doctors gave me till 2004 - joke's on them). My FAITH is solid evidence that I HAVE a home in Heaven awaiting. I know little about it, except that:

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
AND its MINE - NOW - by FAITH.

Probably 90% of what religious folks CALL FAITH, isn't actually related to BIBLICAL FAITH at all.

They throw it around especially “Word of Faith” centric people and those who are young In the contents of The Bible.
If you ever notice I use it very careful the English word Faith, and you always can tell when a child of God Has never read a solid copy of “THE PILGRIM’S Progress” how they use the English word Faith. they never Learn the biblical meaning “Trust GOD”. They always say “Faith” they used the word Faith for every thing, loosely.
These kind of people are dangerous to themselves and those who hear them. It only ship wrecks them in the long run. Everytime. Because of The way they use English.
