Here's a good question for you!

Just give your head a good shake. You'll be ok, given time....I suggested that you read Genesis 2-3 and leave your assumptions out of it. Apparently you are not able to do that at this time.

LOL! Looks whose talking!!! You have no Scripture saying Adam was created immortal, yet you claim that he was. I am not the one reading assumptions in the text, AM. But, you just keep going with yourself, it seems to make you happy.

OK Believe what you want...

gen 3:22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—

I believe there we re at least 2 special trees in the garden of eden. The tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God says that if adam and eve could only not eat of the second.... so even if not created immortal, the option was to be immortal.

1 Timothy 1:7
desiring to be teachers of God's Word, without discerning neither what they are saying, nor having any understanding of what they resolutely claim.

I believe what Scripture clearly teaches and implies, not what I read into them that is not implied. Some of us have God-given understanding...some don't.

True...but when we look at what actually took place, if Adam had eaten from the tree of life, God would have still kicked him out of the garden. He did not want Adam to be immortal in a perpetual state of sin, and if he had eaten from the tree of life, he would have had to be removed from the garden before he could also partake from the tree of knowledge.

Either way, it was not in God's plan (as evidenced by His words and actions) for Adam to be immortal and in a fallen state.

Blessings!
