Am I the Only One?

I find myself more and more and more focusing on the souls of my co-workers and people I meet.

I kinda always have to some degree, but more and more intensely now.

When I meet people and I can tell they are not Christian or they say so explicitly,

my mind just goes to thinking about that person in hell for eternity.

It is a mix of sadness, confusion, and dread.

I channel that into praying for them, but there are so many people who don't know

the Lord Jesus and it just seems that as I meet people, clients at work, as soon as I get

an indication that they are not a Christian I just start thinking and asking myself, wow,

if something does not change, this person will be in hell forever.


Do others find themselves doing that regularly?

Is this unhealthy of me?

Now that is a normal walk [thinking] of a "Child of GOD" growing into "maturity". keys words you said: "but more and more INTENSELY now.", [It is a mix of sadness, confusion, and dread.]

As you continue to grow in Christ, you will even begin to weep, in private. and public sometime, and you will see the "Great Gulf" in between.
And some may ask you, what is wrong? Hi JIL,

If, by hell, you mean eternal conscious torment, it used to concern me. However, upon discovering that eternal conscious torment isn't a Biblical doctrine, that concern has been eased.

No by hell means eternal damnation, on fire, living amongst demons, pedophiles, wife beaters, rapists, thieves for eternity, with the knowledge that somewhere there are people living on a "tropical island" with Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Father in a personal relationship. So yes, you will be in eternal torment for eternity. Nice try Satan, but your lies wont decieve me, I have a bible and a relationship with Jesus Christ to fall back on.

I'm comfortable in my masculinity to accept an acronym which fits my name, which may sound feminine but is just meant to abbreviate my name.

I kinda like saying Jesus is Lord over and over and over every time I see you. :)

@Jesus is Lord, you have a good heart, brother. Keep praying for those unsaved. There is power in prayer. Keep telling people about Jesus. There is power in His name.

I get sad too to think of unsaved family members and friends. Just have to keep loving them and standing in Truth. All we can do. It is their choice.

even with that understanding, surely one can feel or know the need?
I think perhaps the thought here is that upon seeing the folk around one is moved with a sense of compassion for them, if they know not our Lord?

God is good, and I thank God for choosing me, and I just which that others will respond to God's calling as I have as well. But I guess we all have free will.
Indeed, JESUS is Lord, but some do not want Him as their LORD, unfortunately. I posted my first time preaching at my church on the sermons page,

Hi Br Bear,

I agree. My point was just that we don't have to agonize over the idea of people being tortured for all eternity
