From my personal experience I can tell you I have been a believer since I can remember,, but I was not saved and was heading to hell, because scripture says those that are habitual sinners do not go to heaven, I lived a life of sin it was a lifestyle, but always always was a believer never did I doubt Jesus, I used to even go to church and confession. I was not born again,
I have since been set free of the bondage of sin and no longer practice any of the sins that used to enslave me, and I promise I dont think it was me but Jesus that set me free, yet I did have some type of responsibility of receiving him.
It does not matter what a person says it matters what a person does. And when a person is born again he does not practice habitual sin.
I know some think all you have to do is say you believe and live anyway you want and your saved, I don't find any scripture that supports that, seems that is what
@Sue D. is suggesting ??
Grace produces good works, good works a changed life, freedom of sin,,,,,is my understanding,,,
