An hour then your thoughts

I am assured. Only assured when I got saved. God does not make mistakes of grafting someone into His family who does not want to be in His family.
Why would you say you are assured? No one can be assured unless God who know all things, and he is the one who gives that assurance!

If God does not know all things then you have no garuntees for anything.

Pharaoh sinned because God hardened his heart Exo 9:12?
Not true!! Pharaoh sinned because he refused the Word of God spoken unto him though Moses.
You can not just assume anything by quoting a single scripture.

Exo 8:32 And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

Exo 9:12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

Who hardened Pharaohs heart? God, or Pharaoh himself? It was both God, and Pharaoh!!!

Anytime a person hears the Word of God, and refuses to obey it that person hardens their heart. The Word of God is God. God's Word will harden the heart of every one who opposes it. If a person does not oppose the Word of God then their heart is not hardened. Who is ultimately responsible for their heart? That person is!

Great point I see it as God hardened his heart because he was sinning.

Keep in mind Pharaoh hardened his own heart several times, before God finally hardened it.
Exod 7:13; Exod 7:22; Exod 8:15; Exod 8:19; Exod 8:32; Exod 9:7;

so finally... God hardened it.
Exod 9:12;. Exod 10:1;

Did he know he was going to betray Jesus when he first became a disciple?
Judas never believed in Jesus he was just a poser who seemed to be a follower. There are a lot of those in the Church today. They know who they are. Being in trusted with the money that people gave to Jesus would surly cause one to devise a way to scam others. Even that was not enough for Judas as he wanted more than what was in the coffers in Jesus's ministry, so he went to the high priests to get money from them for betraying Jesus. The love of money is root of all evil.

John 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him

Jesus knew Judas would not believe in him, and that he would betray him.

You want me to re-read Your post -- I included Your post in my question when I asked it.

So -- please answer that question.

And 'this' is the 3rd time I've asked you. And, yes, it's important.

You seem determined to put God in Your little box.

And your comment about salvation -- that it is God choosing us to be His Bride. That He wants to make Himself as good as possible so we will be attracted to Him and be His bride.

That is Not how it works. The Church is the Bride of Christ. The Church -- born-again believers - will be united with God in heaven. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

A person becomes part of the Church upon his/ her salvation.

And, yes, God knew from the beginning of time who would and who would Not accept His plan for salvation. But there Still has to be a time in our lives, when WE experience the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. We need to personally acknowledge ourself as being a sinner and Needing God's salvation. And we place our trust in the cross of Jesus Christ. That His death, burial and bodily resurrection were enough to satisfy God. God rose Him from the dead and when Jesus Christ ascended back up to heaven from this earth, He was seated at the right hand of God the Father.

So - when a person has Done that -- they become part of the Church / body of believers/ Becoming the Bride of Christ.

So -- have You done that?!

If Jesus knew from the beginning that Judas would not believe in him, and eventually betray him why did Jesus chose Judas?

John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

The only people who can come to Jesus are those to whom the Father draws to his Son. Jesus did NOT lose any that the father had given to him. Jesus chose Judas so as to fulfill prophecy.

John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Psa 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

Because Jesus knew that Judas would not believe, and betray him, that knowledge did not make Judas do what he did, Judas did what he did because of his own sinful desires!!

I don't agree. Isaiah 14:13 says he wanted to ascend to heaven and rule. This speaks to him being on earth before he sinned.

Why do you believe 'Eden, the garden of God' and 'the garden of Eden' are not the same place? Ezekiel 28:13

According to the Ezekiel 28 passage is Not describing earth -- it's describing heaven. vs 13 "...was prepared for you on the day you were created."

So This Eden , the garden of God. is different place than The Garden of Eden in Genesis.

I was just looking up Genesis about the garden. The first mention of 'it' is in 2:8 "The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed."

Just found the verse - the first mention of 'the garden of Eden' -- 3:23 "Therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken."

Actually -- angels went back and forth between heaven and earth. They did in the Old Testament.

And all we're really Told is that man was created a little Lower than the angelic world. So there's the heavenly realm Way up and the sky that we can see and then this earth.

We are not told about the actual creation of the angelic world. But most likely It must have been on the 1st day --- Exodus 20: 11 and Colo 1:16 - 17. But we Do know that Lucifer was a cherub -- in "heaven" created along with all the other angels.

God created Lucifer 'as is' -- Lucifer sinned while still in 'heaven' -- he rebelled in his heart.

God created the angels before the earth was ever formed. God speaks to Job, and says.........

Job 38:4 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you know.
Job 38:5 Who measured it? I am sure you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?
Job 38:6 What was it built on? Who laid its most important stone?
Job 38:7 When it happened, the morning stars sang together. All of the angels shouted with joy. (NiRV)

When God created the earth all the angels were there and shouting for joy because of the works of God's hands.

The angels were newly created as well and were rejoicing as each part of God's creation was taking place.

You have to read your wife's diary to know she loves you?

I don't agree with this assumption of yours. It makes no sense.

Curtis is right -- it's the Holy Spirit who gives the person assurance of their salvation. Because God Alone knows who will and who won't accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

God's Word is our source for knowing anything about God. And we can observe how He works in other people's lives.

Our husbands/ wives are Not God. Not all husbands / wives Write or keep a diary. I used to journalize a lot -- my husband Never read it. Husbands and wives don't have all -knowledge about each other. God is the Only one who does.

And spouses can come and go. Lots of separations / divorces these days.

God is Always here for us.

You'd commented that because God gave us brains to know right and wrong that That puts us and God on the same level?! Why did you say that?

I agree with this. But still not sure how you reconcile the above with a belief in God being the creator and knowing all. Don't you see the conflict?

God knows all. God made all. Judas and Pharaoh rebelled of their own. Confusing!

@King J. -- I don't see any conflict.

And, yes, every person is ultimately responsible for their own choices. We are told -- God's Word -- to guard our hearts. We are told what to dwell on in our minds, Philippians 4: 8 - 9 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable -- think about those things." We are responsible for what we put into our minds, hearts. AND God already Does know what that will be.

And, yes, God's Word Can be confusing. To Us -- because we're Human. God knows exactly what is going on - everywhere - with everyone of us. His master plan is in 'process'.

You, personally, might have a different way of having all of this work. You, personally, might not like some of it because it's confusing to you. But GOD is the One in charge.

Talking to you is just like what Jesus said about many in the crowds he spoke to., "These people have eyes, but that do not see, they have ears but they don't hear, lest at any time they might see with their eyes, hear with there ears, and understand with their heart....."
