Beloved, this article is, admittedly, not an “easy read”, however, it is an important read.

My heart in this article that all who fail the test of being in the Faith would come to Repentance and Faith in Jesus Christ for Salvation and Deliverance.

In no way am I angry at those who fail this test… In no way do I desire to hurt you with the words I have written in this article.

I desire above all else that you would see your condition, if in fact your condition is one which fails the test of being in the Faith.

May the Lord minister life to you as you now take a moment to read through the test of being in the Faith.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

1- A false believer is one who manifests outward acts of wickedness, though he himself believes he is of God:

John 8:41-44

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him , We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil , and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Note that in verse 41 these individuals claim to be of God.

Note in verse 44 Jesus says they are of their father the devil.

Thus, we see that self delusion (vs 41) mixed with a lifestyle of sin 9vs 44) is trait number 1 of a false believer.

2- A false believer teaches CONTRARY to the Word of God, and when I say CONTRARY, I speak of the FUNDAMNETALS of our Faith (Trinity, Salvation through the Blood ALONE, etc etc):

2 John 1:9-11

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ , hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ , he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Thus, from vs 9 we see that those who do not hold to the essentials of the faith plain and simply do not have God; vs 10 commands that we receive no man into our homes who bring any other doctrine; vs 11 tells us that if we do allow ourselves to compromise with those who hold not to the essentials of the Faith we've partaken of their sins.

We see from the above that a false believer believes falsely; that they may claim to know and have Jesus yet in reality, because of their theology, they are lost.

We see this in the Mormon Church ; these people appear outwardly righteous and yet inwardly they are full of dead men's bones....why? Because they bring not the doctrine of Christ as revealed exclusively in the Word of God through Apostolic Teaching.

Looking the part doesn't necessarily mean you've been invited to the play! Only those whose names are written down in the Lamb's Book of Life have a right to the Tree of Life!

3- A false believer exudes consistent LOVE OF FIRST PLACE, a refusal to acknowledge and to receive those in authority/leadership and is one who goes about speaking evil of those whom God has made righteous and forbids the Children of God to RECEIVE those whom God has set in authority/leadership in the Body of Christ with threats of ex-communication or other such manipulative methods:

3 John 1:9-10

I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words : and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

Thus, we see that a false believer is filled with arrogant pride and feels tat he alone is the "first place man" that God has set in the Church to "straighten it out"...we see that this type of individual is one who speaks evil of those who are of God and threatens the Saints who dare receive the Brethren....

4- A false believer is one who claims great things for God and yet has nothing more than an empty testimony that only APPEARS sensational:

Jude 12-13

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water , carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit , twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea , foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

A false believer carries a great many "testimonies" of how "God uses me"....he or she will often have great stories of the miraculous and how they have "seen angels" and "had visions" etc etc.....when it comes time to "produce the goods" they have nothing but an empty shell-story.

Why?

Because all that these false believers have is a story....nothing in their lives is a reality.

Empty clouds...without water

These people do not have the Holy Spirit.....what they do have is an unholy spirit.

5- A false believer is one who claims commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word and yet secretly holds on to personal sins which he/she has NO intention of mortifying:

1 John 3:14-15

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer : and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Note the words love and hate.....

Love and hate are unseen.....

Yes, I believe that both love and hate are manifested in our deeds, yet the two in and of themselves are unseen.

I cannot see whether or not you have a secret hatred towards an individual.

I cannot see whether or not you have secret desire to harm anther, yet because of your fear of retribution you refrain....however, your hatred is still there...it's simply not acted upon for reasons unknown.

A false believer, then, is one who holds to secret sin, unseen sin, and yet claims to know and love God when Scripture makes it abundantly clear (see above example) that such a one as this is not a true believer at all.

Let us examine ourselves, to see whether we be in the Faith.

If we fail this test, Beloved, let us runt o the Throne Room of God for Salvation and Deliverance from all manner of sin and rebellion against God Who is Holy, Righteous, Just and Pure!

Jesus Christ alone is the Way of Salvation from separation from God, sin and bondage:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

A false believer is one who does not reflect God's true love to/for others.

I mean you can be a non-believer & love, but you can't be a believer & not love,
for God is love.

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Matthew 7:21-23

I believe the above message to be inspired by the Holy Spirit, and written with wonderful clarity. I pray when we have read it, we will yield our hearts to the operation of the sword of the Spirit.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow, as it judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart.

I also believe many christians confuse Gods definition of love with the worlds definition of love, so they wind up with a mush God - a sweet Jesus, who never chastises, and so they themselves cannot endure Gods chastisement, and forbid Him [or those He chooses to speak thru] to chastise others.

And I believe many christians confuse mans self appointed authority/leadership in the church with Gods appointed leaders, these are not necessarly one and the same. Thus the false believer will reject the true "apostles, prophets, teachers" in favor of one who 'they' approve.

"A false christian forbids the Children of God to RECEIVE those whom God has set in authority/leadership in the Body of Christ with threats of ex-communication or other such manipulative methods:"

1Co 12:28 "God has appointed in the church..."

2Co 13:5 Keep examining yourselves to see whether you are continuing in the faith. Test yourselves! You know, do not you, that Jesus Christ lives in you? Could it be that you are failing the test?

"Every Spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God."

"He that loveth not, knoweth not God, for God is Love."

"Love covereth a multitude of Sins and casts a vail over countless transgressions."

"Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends."

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

"There is none righteous, no, not one."

"All we like sheep have gone astray, and the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all."

If you confess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour then you have passed from death unto life, all your sins are forgiven you, and they have been washed clean by the blood of the lamb. This is the only criteria you need to determine whether somebody is of God or not. Then, the Lord simply expects us to obey His commandment to love one another,

"Hereby percieve we the Love of God, because He laid down His life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

True confession of Jesus as Lord and Saviour requires more than lip service, and reciting a sinners prayer. You may 'confess' all day long, you may even 'believe' Jesus is Lord, (of everything but your heart) but if there is no testimony of your 'confessed faith', you are not of God.

1Jn 5:7 And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
1Jn 5:8 There are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree.
1Jn 5:9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for this is the testimony of God that he has borne witness to his Son.
1Jn 5:10 He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne to his Son.

Rom 8:9 But you are not in the flesh, you are in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Any one who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Tit 1:16 They profess [confession is made] that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate [rejected]

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:5
No matter who you think you are or what you have done, your resulting works mean nothing and your faith is dead.

False believers can be compared to false teeth
  • They hurt
  • They smell bad
  • They fall out
