A few week ago i was sitting in my front garden having a coffee with a friend of mine who lives next door. I seen a couple walking toward our houses. They were well dressed in suits carrying briefcases, Both my neighbour and myself have dogs ,As they approached my house and reached the gate my dogs began to bark. My oldest dog judy who is as far away from an aggressive dog as you can get began to become very aniouxs. Pacing back and forth and barking. The couple stopped at the entrance to my gate and started to back off, i got up and told judy to lie down and tryed to comfort her ,she just seemed to snap and raced back and forth growling at this couple, it was at this point i put her inside as i knew she was going to attack.
The couple than came into my garden and handed me copies of the watchtower magazine, i handed them back telling them i was a christian. I did not feel comfortable as my dogs reaction had put me on guard. They could hear my dogs going crazy to get out and they turned and left. I was shocked my Judy had never reacted in such a way to anyone before and it took me a while to calm her down.

Judy made it clear she did not want these people near me and was willing to attack to stop them. Jesus saved Judy not once but twice bringing her back from the point of death.

also Monty, what a story, but could you elaborte on your dog being saved from death twice, would love to hear, I am an animal lover have 2 dogs and 1 cat myself.
Your's sound as if they are big dogs, mine aren't, Pomerainians and old ones at that, a mother and son.

Judy my dog ,
A friend of mine had contacted the dog warden to come out to her home i think it was to collect a stray she had found but i cant be certain, i was coming back from a walk when my friend called me over to say hello. I noticed a small black pup in the dog wardens van, poor thing was a reck, the warden told me she was on her way to be put to sleep, i dont know why but i grabbed her from the van and told the warden i was taking her home with me, and i refused point blank to give her back.

The second time was when she was a little older she caught a bad disease and i was told she would not make it as 99% of animals with this disease die within 48hrs, she went from a healthy dog to a dying dog in the space of 24hrs ,she went into the vets to be put on a drip for the night and i was told she wouldnt last the night. I prayed so hard that night and begged jesus to spare her. After crying for hours i fell asleep and i woke up to the phone ringing It was the vet, he told me Judy was up walking around eating and drinking. The vet could not explain it and said he had never seen anything like it in his life. I rushed into the vet and my Judy came bounding towards me full of life. It was noting short of a miracle.

ah, I just love happy endings,
guess you two are mean't to be together.

She's a big dog I take it? mine are 14yrs and 12,half years, getting on, oldest one, Elle is deaf, and her breathing isn't great, but she's my wee shadow, she's black going mostly grey, her son, is tan, Dougal, wide eyed and bushy tailed, full of beans for his age.
Elle can't go walks now, because of ther breathing.

Isn't our Lord just wonderful how he cares for our animals too, He knows the love we have for them also, so He does too. Bless His Holy Name.

My Mums dog's a Judy also, but she's a small white poodle type, not a pedigree, mix also, beans again, between Beshion Freeze and Poodle. Can't spell first one, Sorry,
this has really gone of the J.W. track.
But sure, tis a nice refreshing change to talk about our little pets, afterall the Lord God made them too and brought them into the ark.

Jesus was not raised (literally) from the dead. The WatchTower teaches that his physical body ceased to exist and he was "raised" a spiritual being.

If you look at the scriptures, Jesus was raised as spiritual:

1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
1Co 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
1Co 15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

When Jesus come back for you, I and every other believer, he will raise you from the dead and you will be given a new spiritual body.

I was thinking on that also, we will be raised 'spiritually' not physically, but their thinking is that the 'Spirit' is not a 'being' it is a 'force' a 'force' cannot be raised.
I'm not sure what their thoughts are regards the 2nd Coming, and how we will all be raised up those who are in Christ Jesus.

This is a good thing!!!

Jehovah's Witnesses have donated a blood-cell salvage machine to a hospital that takes away the
need for transfusion in surgery.

Members of the religion traditionally refuse blood transfusions because they conflict with their
beliefs.

The Fresenius Continuous Autologus Transfusion System (Cats), which is being donated to
St Mary's Hospital in Newport on the Isle of Wight, re-circulates a patient's own blood during
operations.

John Carruthers, a spokesman for the Jehovah's Witnesses, said he hoped the machine, which is
being delivered on Monday, would also be an advantage to other people.

He said: "Because of teachings in the Bible, Jehovah's Witnesses do not touch blood that is not
their own.

"This machine will mean that when they require surgery there is no need for blood transfusions
to be used."

The fundraising for the £19,000 Fresenius Kabi machine was set up on the island because of the
high proportion of Jehovah's Witnesses who live there.

Mr Carruthers added: "But we hope it will also be useful for the wider community, since as more
people become aware of the potential health risks of blood transfusions they will be able to use
it as well."

Dr Michael Hof, senior consultant at St Mary's, welcomed the fact the reduction in health risks
of transfusions could potentially save the NHS millions of pounds.

He said: "Unfortunately, the rest of the world is ahead of the United Kingdom as far as the use
of cell salvage is concerned.


"At present the public on the island and in the UK generally do not demand cell-salvage because
they are not aware of its benefits."

Dr Hof's colleague, consultant haematologist Dr Rajeev Joshi, said he had been pushing for the
treatment to be available in the UK for "a long time".

He said: "In simple terms, patients are receiving their own fresh blood without the risk of
infection."

Cats also speeds up the transfusion process, as there is no need to carry out compatibility
tests on the patient.

The machine also improves the quality of the blood because it does not need storing, which
reduces its capacity for storing oxygen.

The Isle of Wight is home to 600 Jehovah's Witnesses in seven congregations.

Proportionally that is one for every 250 people, compared to one for every 450 people across
the rest of the UK.

that is from a BBC news article (quoted verbatum) dated Monday, 30 July, 2001. I did a search for that info on US national library of medicine and National Institute of Health web sites and got nothing. no match at all. I checked NHS website and no results either.. I searched blood transfusions and got a different spelling for Autologus (Autologous) and that means a transfusion using your own blood that is banked prior to surgery. (NOT recommended). The gathering of your blood during surgery and reintroducing it is also less than optiomal..

The article you copied and pasted here seems to be JWS propaganda. I have read where the watchtower stated that new forms of synthetic blood are available but that was not true at all. In fact according to the American Blood Center....

I read a RH factor article about a year ago an in that article (jws) they stated that in cases of RH the babies CAN receive the lifesaving medicine implying that it is synthetic.... but it takes 40 units of whole blood to make!!! Forty people have to donate blood to save ONE Jehovah witness baby.

Freaky the way they twist reality!!

back to the blood mechine... the American Blood center also states..

With your doctor's approval, you can donate your own blood up to six weeks before your surgery. Your doctors also can collect your blood during surgery and return it to your body at the end of operation. This procedure is called blood dilution or intraoperative hemodilution.

Depending on the timing of your surgery, the type of surgery and your personal health, these procedures may not be practical. ....

the effectiveness of autologous donations is being debated by the medical community. As a result, some insurance plans are limiting its use.

I even googled St Mary's and found no reference to this donated blood mechine. I find that odd..

Now it seems not, as they can use their own, but it is still BLOOD.

They do not acknowledge the blood of Jesus Christ being given in attonement for our sin and through which we can recieve Salvation.
Their Salvation is through their works.

They make it all very complicated, whereas it is simplicity of the Gospel, to be easy understood, it is man who complicates it.

How could someone go & put it down when we haven't heard anything bad about it, yet?

Considering the fact that getting blood the old fashion way brings & has brought upon deaths & diseases upon many people in the past?

I have spoke to a Jehovah's Witness about this & she says machine is not yet in all the hospitals, but they are still pushing & praying in hope they will succeed.

What a great break through this would be for them!

Because, even though they do not call this machine a blood transfusion, it's still similar to it.

Only it's with the person who's having the surgery `fresh` own blood!

Non of us would not have to rely on someone else's blood!

I think The Almighty GOD, including Christ Jesus, would approve.

The reason why they don't want to use anyone else's blood has to do with fact that the blood hits the air first & once the blood hits the air is when they believe it's a sin to receive it.

Now this blood machine comes along & allows them to be able to go forth with surgery.

What happens is their blood runs through this machine, never hitting the air & keeping the blood warm (at body temperature).

So I will say this again, this is a great break through for them!

And I would think that all the people that are against them not receiving blood would be happy for them that they now have this machine that will help them through their surgeries in including their children's.

We breath in the air, it goes into our bodies, so why then does that not need to be filtered also? as the blood is.

I must say as I see, and it is told me in the scriptures that nothing but the blood of Jesus will atone for my sin.
Was Jesus blood contaminated also then when it was in contact with the air?

I have given blood through the American red cross a few dozen times in my lifetime... It doesn't come in contact with air... It is very sterile and the with the advances in testing and screening the blood supply is very safe.

The issue is not "the blood issue"... That is a diversionary tactic.

It is my experience and opinion that the watchtower has used this avoidance of blood to stir up debate on an issue that gets the attention off of biblical truth (because truth will set you free) and onto debate of insane beliefs to which the watchtower has carefully rehearsed in detail the responses of the individual witness (they actually role play their responses at the meetings so they are prepared to answer with watchtower doctrine..Misquoting scriptures as a defense and when you ask a question that they are not "prepared" to answer their response is "there are others more qualified to answer" and that they will get an elder to come and respond... but they never do!!!

We are distracted by the insanity of their "blood doctrine" Which I could debate at length but will not because there are more important aspects.

A Jehovah's Witness (in good standing) could debate you for hours and you will not get any closer to the "truth" that will set them free!!

the root of the "cult status" of the Watchtower / Jehovah witnesses, is that they degrade Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Their doctrine attempts to diminish the power and effect of the one and only means by which we are saved.

To them, Jesus is no more than an Arch Angel ... their doctrine is that Jesus was not PHYSICALLY resurrected.

The Holy Spirit is an "it", equated to electricity and THE WATCHTOWER is the only "teacher and interpreter of scripture" allowed...they deem themselves "the faithful and discreet slave" and use Matt 24 as the basis of their belief... that ONLY THE WATCHTOWER... provides proper "spiritual food" ... the watchtower in essence takes on the roll of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the members of the JWS congregations.

THAT IS WHY THEY ARE A CULT!!

There is a scripture that brings tears to my eyes when I read it because I know my dear friend that believes this Watchtower nonsense...will die and when he does he will burn in hell.(not to be incinerated but tormented in everlasting fire... eternal anguish) .... Judged guilty of rejecting the Holy Spirit and the Gift of life that comes only to those that believe that Jesus was literally raised from the dead!!

this next passage from John chapter 6 also concerns me regarding JWS doctrine....

they are NOT ALLOWED to take communion....

John 6:53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
