In Troubled Times

On March 21, 2020, I did my first video talk (devotion) titled, “In Troubled Times.” It was during the beginning of the Covid Pandemic, but the message is not limited to just that period of time. For it is a message of hope and healing during times of trouble and distress, which definitely applies to where we are in the world today. For the world as we know it seems to be coming apart at the seams presently, looking more and more apocalyptic as the days progress.

Now public speaking has never been my forte, but the Lord was encouraging me to do this. So, what I did is I just talked about what the Lord was putting on my heart, about what was going on in our world at that time. And then I read a Scripture, and then I just shared what I was getting out of it at that moment, as related to the times in which we were living at that time, and as the Holy Spirit was speaking to my heart. So this was not preplanned other than the Scripture. And it still fits with where we are today.

Ya know when the COVID came I didn't even know anything about anything that was happening in the world I was totally oblivious to it it was crazy thing tho..like not long before it did come tho Lord told me He said watch..He said that He was gonna cut off pastors n priest n I thought well Lord how ya gonna do that..see imma mess... I says to the Lord I said now Lord if ya go striking down these preachers n what not I said all them people that go to them well they gonna go into a frizzy..He just laughed at me.. cause now mind ya I didn't even know anything about the COVID..n when the COVID was supposedly here n real contagious the Lord had me wiping shelves at a lil ole family own liquor store.. that allowed me to get close to the homeless and the addicts n the prostitutes that was in the area..I'd get to sit n eat with them talk about God what He did n does n meant a young man that came very dear to my heart but the Lord took him home..that youngin heart was so broken and torn the world just kept beating on him..I asked him one day Jonnie what would it take to get you clean up n off these streets n he said hope.. all I could do was hug him he called me momma..but the Lords left me have some time before he took him..ya know I never wore a mask when I went wiping shelves or when I sat n chilled with the other outcast n not one of them died from COVID they died from ODing died from failed liver died from the cold but not one COVID n not have I ever caught it or had it...I knew from the getgo it was malarkey just like the flue vac it's all malarakey in my book..
Anywho I sure hope ya starting to feel better n remember to keep your sugar n minerals intake up with that bug that's upon you..

Twistie, thank you for sharing your experiences with me. You sound like someone who really cares about people. And thank you for your counsel to me regarding my health. I am doing better, but still a little weak yet. Thank you for caring. God bless you.
