What do people pretend is in the Bible but is absolutely not in the Bible?

It's hard to envision what John saw from his knowledge in that time and culture.
Crowns - Strength. Royalty. Power. There are 10 Kingdoms meaning every country will be absorbed into one of them ruled over by a king.

There's no universal answer on this.
When the events of Revelation happen, there will be a lot of supernatural things the human mind can not comprehend. Things will get so bad people will die, instantly of fear.

Satan has many names including dragon, beast of the sea, Father of Lies, etc.
The "best of the earth" will be the False Prophet. Given mountainous evidence and other writings, likely will come from the Catholic Church.
The Beast here will be the FALSE "Jesus" who is empowered by, not indwelt by, Satan.
The Anti-Christ is the same person who will become indwelt by Satan himself and that person WANTS to be.
He will reject the "company of women". He'll have the answer to and be able to solve all problems.
Supernaturally charismatic.

The point isn't a literal Gozilla 'beast" thing.
The beast in Revelation 17 also suffers a severe fatal wound to the head.

"His fatal wound was healed" (Rev 13:3).
It is HIGHLY likely there will be an assassination attempt on this man. He will "die" and "come back to life but it will be Satan indwelling that body.

The Image of the Beast is likely a big statue of sorts and will "move and speak".
Given the faster advancements of robotics and A.I.; then this is (likely) how Satan will have it made.

Again, remember we have time and culture FAR surpassing John's.
I take it you have never experienced a vision from God.

When you get a vision from God, there is no doubts in your mind where the vision comes from. You are very aware of all said. Although you may not fully understand what you see. The question is not whether it comes from God. The only question is the meaning of what you see and hear.

I am sure John wondered about his visions. He did not understand them, but he knew they came from God and wrote what he saw and heard.

  1. Jesus born on December 25th
  2. 3 Wise men visited with gifts and that Jesus was a baby when they did
  3. Mary rode a donkey to Bethlehem
  4. Jesus born in a stable
  5. Did the Angels actual sing??? :)
  6. Mary was a virgin until her death...well at least some folks believe it!
  7. Judge not lest you be judged

And the list goes on and on. The bigger ticket items like the Trinity, Rapture, Folks going to Heaven etc. are more talked about, but I wonder in truth how much of a difference it has or should have when Jesus should be our focal point, exception being of course Trinity that speaks to who Jesus was/is. After all Talk Jesus is a Trinity believing site! \o/

Have fun with this and don't let it drag you into arguments that are probably better suited to existing threads on the subject!

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

I'm sorry but you're you are killing yourself with your own words.

How would you know what was written in Thessalonians if it wasn't in the scripture? How would you know what was written in Hebrews in Romans and in all the rest of them if it wasn't in the scripture? And how would you know what the scripture was in the first place because it wasn't all collected as one collection of writings at least not distributed as one collection of writings until after the year 300 when it was written.

We say commonly that the Bible is God's word. So if the Bible is God's Word, what then do you use to explain yourself and quote from to tell me that I'm absolutely wrong with what was written in the scripture in the first place. ( I need Rhema) ( I don't agree with everything Rhema says, but I do like the fact that he actually thinks it out) and thinking out your responses is not what you're doing. You use the Bible to condemn me. But it's the Bible itself that you're condemning not me.
You make the argument that unless the Bible was bound and “distributed” officially in one book before the 300s, we would not know what is Scripture and what is not. Well, that argument falls flat on its face by the very words of the Bible itself.

God did not have to wait for some council or central binding agent to distribute His Word. The writings of the apostles and prophets were being circulated and treated as Scripture long before they were bound together in one book codex. Peter called Paul’s letters “Scripture” in 2 Peter 3:16, referring to them as “the Scriptures”. Jesus repeatedly quoted the Old Testament as authoritative Scripture (Luke 24: 44) and NEVER quoted from or endorsed the Apocrypha. So, no, it is not about what men were saying in the fourth century, it’s about what God said through His Son and apostles.

You also said, “You’re condemning the Bible.” FALSE. Quoting the Bible to reveal that passages like the Apocrypha are later additions is not “condemning” the Bible, it’s DEFENDING it. You are angry because I am calling out what is NOT in Scripture, and you are SUPPOSED to do that: “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21).

You referenced Rhema, but the Bible does not tell us to follow vague “rhema” impressions to determine doctrine. It tells us to search the written Word (Acts 17: 11), rightly divide it (2 Timothy 2:15), and cast out anything that does not agree with it, even if it is OLD or POPULAR or EMOTIONAL (Mark 7:13).

The bottom line is this: TRADITION does not define truth. GOD’S WORD does. If something contradicts the Bible, even if it is popular or OLD or widely held, it is still false. Let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4).

I would definitely not call the Greek or the Latin or the Hebrew for that matter a cop out irrelevant or red herring. Because all of those things are relevant to the scripture that you have now in your own hands that's written in English. But because if we didn't have those others then we wouldn't have the English version either. And it's an understanding those original texts that you have understanding on what the English translation is, because there are words in the English that are not in the rest.

As an example, where God is talking to Moses, I had this argument with some Jehovah Witnesses.

Where God says to Moses "I am who I am". There is no actual English translation for this phrase because we don't have a singular plural noun in our language. The actual phrase is. "I's am whom am"

You see the Jews did not know who Jesus was but they recognized that God being a single entity was also two in one. They understood that God was God and that the Spirit was God. So this duality of one God was not foreign to the Jewish people when Jesus came along.

If you don't believe me try talking to a Jewish person. Even to this day they recognize God is two - Spirit and God.
I did not say said Greek or Hebrew are irrelevant to the Bible. I said what I said and I’ll stand on it, you don’t need to read Greek or Hebrew to know what God has said. He promised His Word would be preserved (Psalm 12: 6–7), and He gave it to be understandable by every person, not just those with a degree in dead languages. That’s not disrespect to the originals, that’s faith in the God who speaks to us.

English Bible came from Hebrew and Greek manuscripts? Of course it did. Nobody’s denying that. But it’s not Greek grammar that unlocks the truth. It’s a heart submitted to the Author. “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine” (John 7:17). That’s why Paul told Timothy, “From a child thou hast known the holy scriptures” (2 Timothy 3:15). Not “once you learn the ancient language,” but from childhood, from hearing and believing.

As for your assertion that Jews were still thinking that God was two persons, they weren’t. The Shema was clear, “The LORD our God is one LORD” (Deuteronomy 6:4). They knew God was one. They didn’t know the Trinity. That’s why so many of them rejected Jesus when He claimed equality with the Father (John 5:18, John 10:33). They understood God was one. Ancient Jews did not perceive a “dual-God” idea. This is extra-biblical idea. The Trinity is true, but it was revealed in Christ. It was not assumed by first-century Jews.

I for one am weary of hiding behind linguistic theories and nebulous traditions. The Bible says what it says, and any man or woman with a heart to know the truth can open it, read it, believe it, and be saved. This has nothing to do with parsing rare verbs, and everything to do with receiving God’s Word with humility and letting it form our beliefs.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple” (Psalm 119:130). There’s the foundation. The rest is secondary.

I would think culture is not part of the gospel understanding..

What is required is to look at the kind of tongue or interpretation described in the opening of the last chapter of the Bible. . . Revelation.

Signified therefore using the temporal historical seen as a sign the give the hidden meaning the spiritual understanding the gospel .Called hidden Manna in 2:17.

Revelation 11 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Revelation 2:17;He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth (parable) saving he that receiveth it.

Mana meaning what is? it denotes a parable is in view

Christ knowing beforehand that natural mankind seek after signs to wonder and marvel after as if true prophecy.

The Holy Father lovingly commanded Moses to take sola scriptura and place it on the side of the golden ark Gold representing faith the unseen eternal things of Christ .It as the one source of eternal faith or Gods labor of "Let there be" Love. In it was the hidden manna and staff with the two tablets used to represent the old and new .Written on both sides with no room for the oral traditons of dying mankind . He put it there as a witness against those who look to sign and wonders as if true prophecy Christ knew as soon as Moses died its give us Cesar .

Deuteronomy 31 24-27;And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
;That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying,Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.;For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the Lord; and how much more after my death?

Revelation 20:1-3 And I saw (signified) an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
;And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,;And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations (whole world )no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season

Satan the one lying spirit that woks in many a legion of antichrists'. . . .Antichrists' another teacher authority other than Christ. Therefore not subject the the gospel understanding hid in parables.

Satan in Mathew 16 took a wild guess that Peter was the Son of man and not Jesus.

Peter as a false apostle, false teacher rebuked the unseen Holy Father and forbid Jesus the Son of man from doing the powerful "Let there be" will .
Peter was forgiven of his blasphemy against the Son of Man Jesus. No forgiveness against the signified tongue of Christ the Holy Spirit of the Father

Actually you did say the greek and hebrew were irrelevant in post 16. I quoted your post when I responded to you.

And by the way Greek and Hebrew are not dead languages.

As far as the Jews faith in two being one God. I think you need to look that up again because I got it out of Webster's Dictionary and then I got it from the Jewish priest that I talked to to confirm it.

Do you know that in Hebrew the language is set up in a manner that when it's talking about God it's always in a singular plural noun form in the grammar.

It's all about linguistics. That's the study of languages.

The problem with English Bibles is that we cannot translate some of the words from the Hebrew to English because we do not have a singular plural nouns in our language.

But you’re still twisting what I said. I never said Greek and Hebrew were irrelevant; I said you don’t have to be a linguist to understand the Bible. There’s a difference.

The God who made every language didn’t hide His truth behind a wall of grammar. Psalm 119: 130 says, “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” This means the gospel isn’t the domain of seminary professors or fluent Hebrew speakers. It’s for the humble heart that simply believes what God said.

You’re right that Hebrew has plural forms used for God, like Elohim. But again, grammar isn’t the authority, God’s Word is. The doctrine of the Trinity isn’t based on grammar; it’s based on Scripture. The Father is God (Philippians 1: 2), the Son is God (John 1:1–14), and the Spirit is God (Acts 5:3–4). Yet the Bible plainly declares “the LORD our God is one LORD” (Deuteronomy 6:4). That’s the revealed mystery, not in the syntax, but in the Son.

You said you learned doctrine from Webster’s Dictionary and a conversation with a priest? Wow. My standard isn’t a dictionary or a rabbi, it’s the Bible. You don’t define God by tradition, language theory, or extra-biblical sources. You let God define Himself, and He did, completely and sufficiently, through His Word.

So yes, Greek and Hebrew have helped clarify some things at times, but they don’t have authority over the plain meaning of Scripture in any language. God promised to preserve His Word (Psalm 12: 6–7), and He makes it speak to every heart willing to hear. The problem isn’t the translation, it’s whether the reader believes what he reads.

You want to make it about linguistics. God made it about truth. “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17). That’s the final authority. Period.

These are your words .

I just have one question. What language were the scrolls written in for the Gospels and for Pauls writings?

"So yes, Greek and Hebrew have helped clarify some things at times"

I think your question is off target. No one is denying that the Gospels and Paul’s epistles were originally written in Greek. The question isn’t what language the original scrolls were written in, but what is the authority we stand on today.

God didn’t give us a command to all learn to be fluent in Koine Greek to be able to understand the gospel message. He promised to preserve His Word and make it available to every generation and every language (Psalm 12:6–7). The Bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, but it was inspired by the Holy Spirit and that same Spirit speaks through His Word in every language today.

The original languages do help us to clear up some things at times, but they never have authority over the clear meaning of Scripture in translation. God never hid salvation behind a Greek grammar lesson. He revealed it through words that even “the simple” can understand (Psalm 119:130).

If you insist on hanging on to linguistics as your final authority, then you will miss the point. “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17). Not “Greek grammar is truth.” God’s Word is our final authority, not the language it was originally written in.

So I will ask you a question in return: Do you believe what God has said, or are you just trying to duck it and hide behind the smoke screen of language debate?

Yes indeed, the Holy Spirit is the primary factor of the Gospels and all of the scripture.

People do not quote the scripture correctly when it comes to the Holy Spirit. As they feel that all that was necessary to be said is in the scripture. Or Jesus states that the Holy Spirit is coming to teach us what Jesus did not.

Both Jesus and the apostles stated in the scripture, something I think most Christians just want to ignore. They stated in the scripture that not all of what Jesus said was written. And Jesus himself said that he could not talk about the things that he wanted to because people would not accept it. So we know that there's more to learn than what's in the scripture.

I tried to start a post here once talking about how the Bible is like being in a greenhouse. Or the plants start from seed and become seedlings and then go into the garden of the Holy Spirit to become mature plants. But no one wanted to hear that. I think everybody likes being immature Christians.

It seems to me that Christianity Today among many many of the people and churches do not follow True Faith anymore, they are limited to a confirmation based faith versus having actual faith.

You can see it for yourself in Talk Jesus, how many times people may come in and start talking about a really unique experience they have in the Lord. And how many in this website will immediately put them down because it's not found in Scripture.

Those who cannot accept others unique experiences in the Lord, have not actually grown up enough to receive discernment from the Holy Spirit. In fact in my personal opinion, many who want to receive the Holy Spirit do not receive the Holy Spirit because they cannot accept what the Holy Spirit shows them

The reading that we see about the seeds falling on the good dirt, ground that is hard and then the ground that's Rocky also represents how the Holy Spirit Falls on Christians. If your heart is closed to the love of God, then it is like the seeds falling on Rocky ground. Because the Holy Spirit cannot enter you even if you go to try to receive it. And for those who half heartedly open themselves to the Holy Spirit, the holy spirit is limited within you because of that same thing.

Then there are the few who are completely open to the will of God, who are open to the love of God. And when they receive the Holy Spirit, they received the Holy Spirit in its fullness.

I would offer.

Christ who works in us as to what we call "sola scriptura"

On Mount Sinah established his book of law the bible or the gospel as it written with his finger on two tablets written on both sides with no room for oral traditions of dying mankind. establishing the law of power or faith. (unseen of God)

Two working as one. "Let there be" and the testimony "it was God alone good". Two he Old and New, husband wife, the Holy Father and the son of man the dynamic dual

The gift of His faithfulness it mutually (two fold) works in all sons of God

Roman 1:10-12; Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.;For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith (labor of Christ love) both of you and me

His gifts are never one-fold edify oneself.

Just curious where does one edifying himself or herself come into play with what I said?

The Holy Spirit is the only invisible source of powerful faith the Gospel.

Jesus the son of man an apostle sent with prohecy or words from the Father or Holy Spirit .

He warns of those what say we do need dying mankind to teach us. If we say he does not do all the teaching then we are self-edifying as if we were the Holy anointing (teaching) Spirit

Ok do you see an error in what you say?

So anyone can look at what you write and go either way with it. Can you see what i am saying?

Going to use some names so it isn't confusing, Zoey, Bob and Pudge are just names.

Let us say, God sent a person here to teach something to us. "Zoey" who is to say that Zoey is indeed from God? And how can it be proven, when all who hear it are so weak in thier faith that they can not recognize when the Holy Spirit is speaking or not?

And when a person "Bob" is convicted that they are right in thier thinking. And Bob feels this understanding comes from God, so he presents it that way.
"Pudge", who Does have the Holy Spirit KNOWS that Bob is wrong, Pudge knows Bob's thinking does not come from God.

When no one else stands up. Either they do not want to deal with a confrontation, or it is always a big arguement. So Bob is never corrected, not even by moderators. Because the moderators don't want the hastle.
The side effect, Bob's teaching goes unchecked, and he thrives in a false teaching.
--‐-‐---------------
So Garee, i am telling you, this teaching that you have been sharing is wrong.

This whole business to say tradition, and learning from others isn't the way othe the Holy Spirit. You are wrong.

It is contrary to the scripture itself. It is the opposite of what is taught in the scripture.

All of scripture is do to humans intermingling with God, in the same way that Mary (who said yes to the angel) intermingled with God to bear his son Jesus. Can you understand me.

God uses people to teach others as well as the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Look at Elijah. Not only did the Holy Spirit work thru him, but Elijah also spoke God's teachings

God uses people to teach others as well as the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Look at Elijah. Not only did the Holy Spirit work thru him, but Elijah also spoke God's teachings

Thanks for the reply

Yes, I believe I can see what you are saying. My understanding or private interpretation of what I believe looking at the tools he has given us in order to rightly divide. Differ from one to another. God makes us different helping us to know that in which we can receive is not of our selves but is of Emanuel

God when speaking in parables in order to hide the spiritual understanding from the god of this world. He has no idea who the Son of man is.

In Mathew 16 the devil thought Peter was the son of man the chosen one of the Holy Father and gave Perter words of false prophecy rebuking the Holy Father and forbidding the Son of man from doing his Holy Father's good will. he was forgiven of his blasphemy against the son of man the temporal fleshly seed

The father of lies is not subject to salvation One big guessing wish upon a star game to him

Christ in the believer as Emanuel uses name words to aid in his hidden teaching. Beginning with Adam and Eve.

Even Jesus when bowed down to and called good teaching master gave glorious authority to the unseen holy Father.

Mankind can preach Christ alone the one ."let there be" good teacher or Rabbi

Adam. . .the one formed from the field of clay

Eve. . .a living being

They failed and were promised a way back into fellowship with a representation of invisible Christ the one teaching master through a dying man. The son of man Jesus born of woman

In anticipation they named the promised the firstborn Cain meaning "acquired possession". They having no interst in the unseen things of faith or mysteries of God. They thought Cain was the promised seed (Christ) It did not take long when the second birth of Abel meaning "vanity". Mankind was already seeing the need to be born again.

In order to emphasize a person must be born of God. God raised up another second born Enos to represent the seed Christ which was passed down until the birth of Jesus the Son of man.

Finishing the Faithful work or labor of love of the invisible Spirit, I refer to as the "dynamic dual"

God uses people to preach plant seed water with the water of the word .

But by His Spirit that he pours out on dying flesh in jeopardy of his own Spirit life it alone causes growth if any growth

A warning to the antichrists which is another teaching authority other than that of Christ (sola scriptura) false prophecy (oral traditions of dying mankind)

1 Corinthians 3:2-8 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?;Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.;So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.; Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

Like Jesus the Son of man given words from the Father to Nicodemus the signs and wonder seeker . . . .wonder, wonder or marvel not but rather believe as an anchor of the soul. establishing the foundation of the one must be born again .It was then the second born began to call on the power of their new- born again faith

Genisis 4:25And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.;And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord

In that way there must be differences of opinion called heresies. We look to the unseen eternal not the dying temporal

There must be differences. (Oral traditions) as long as they do not do despite to the fulness of grace the whole cost of salivation

Parables do not change the historical values they enrich the understanding again hidden from the god of this world

Catholicism does despite the fulness of grace. . unmerited favor . They do it boldly others more secretively as in

Dear @Garee
You can be as courtesy meaning as you want, but your convoluted communication is erroneously conflating too many items, and some are actually out of context to what scripture says to be true. Clarity of reason is necessary to instruct or expound upon the word of God, scripture. Clean it up or move on.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

My friend, I do not know where you've gotten all this stuff from but it's all off base. It's not even scriptural. I mean I tried to follow what you wrote and it was like out in outer space, I was wondering if maybe you were smoking marijuana when you wrote it.

At least smoking marijuana would have been a good excuse for why it was so far out in the first place.

You wrote, and im quoting "God when speaking in parables in order to hide the spiritual understanding from the god of this world. He has no idea who the Son of man is."

First of all the devil is not a god. Nothing more than a fallen created angel. Secondly God has no need to hide anything from Lucifer (the Fallen Angel)

When I look at the scripture and I see that there is more than one meaning to it, I don't look at it as if God is hiding something, I look at it as at the time when I first read it that's what I could understand and later on when I've grown up more in the Lord then I read it again and it has more meaning to it. This is one I understand a deeper understanding of the same scripture. It has nothing to do with God hiding anything it's more like we need to learn to discover understanding the word of God.

Again I'm responding to your quote here "In Mathew 16 the devil thought Peter was the son of man the chosen one of the Holy Father and gave Perter words of false prophecy rebuking the Holy Father and forbidding the Son of man from doing his Holy Father's good will. he was forgiven of his blasphemy against the son of man the temporal fleshly seed"

This is a completely false teaching. The devil never thought that Peter was a Son of God (Son of Man). The son of man is a statement that Jesus referred to himself as, it has to do with Hebrew teaching.
The part where you said " and gave Peter words of false prophecy rebuking the Holy Father and forbidding the son of man from doing his holy father's Good will." This makes absolutely no sense at all.

Ok this quote, "The father of lies is not subject to salvation One big guessing wish upon a star game to him"
Seriously where did this come from. It's just nuts. Lucifer when he chose to go against God he was cast out of heaven. You're right to say that he's not subject to Salvation in the manner that we receive salvation from Jesus. Because he was created by God and was with God in the beginning, he already was in the presence of God. But he chose to toss it away, he chose to go against God and that was it.

Ok this quote "Christ in the believer as Emanuel uses name words to aid in his hidden teaching. Beginning with Adam and Eve."

Again my friend, I don't know where you're getting the stuff from but you need to throw it under the bus. Stick a piece of dynamite on it and blow it up because it's garbage.

Brother, i will pray for you. Someone is feeding you some really bad teaching

Dear Brother,
You would do better without the Marijuana comments. :(

Otherwise I pretty much agree with the rest.
