I see my view of “men lying with men” is challenged as not being acceptable in the sight of God.
“I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: Very pleasant hast thou been unto me: Thy love to me was wonderful, Passing the love of women.” (2Sam 1:26, ASV)
“I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were most dear to me; your love for me was wonderful, surpassing the love of women.” (2Sam 1:26, REB)
Notice the Douay-Rheims translation added a fake sentence to that verse in an obvious attempt to hide the clear statement of Jonathan’s love is described as surpassing the “love of women”.
“I grieve for thee, my brother Jonathan: exceeding beautiful, and amiable to me above the love of women.
As the mother loveth her only son, so did I love thee.” ((2Sa 1:26 Douay-Rheims)
That underlined sentence is a fraud translated from the Latin Vulgate. Then there is an explicit statement of men lying together in the words of Solomon:
“There is one that is alone, and
he hath not a second; yea,
he hath neither son nor brother; yet is there no end of all
his labor, neither are
his eyes satisfied with riches. For whom then, saith
he, do I labor, and deprive my soul of good? This also is vanity, yea, it is a sore travail. Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up
his fellow; but woe to
him that is alone when
he falleth, and hath not another to lift
him up. Again,
if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone? And if a
man prevail against
him that is alone, two shall withstand
him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” (Eccl 4:8-12, ASV)
The context clearly indicates it is good for males, men to lie together because they then have warmth. Therefore, to say men lying with men is sinful, the scripture must be shown where it is sin for the Christian, the New Covenant believer. It has to be shown what sin is involved when men are lying with men.
The Old Covenant condemned male cult prostitutes serving in the idolatrous shrines, and the Apostle Paul condemns men who leave their wives and become involved in abusive and promiscuous sexual conduct with men.
Nowhere can it be shown that the fact of two men lying together is sin, unless a sinful conduct is clearly shown in the context of the verse presented. Of course, Rhema is a scholar surpassing the scholarship of all the translators of our standard translations.
I suspect many of the gay haters among so-called Christian leaders and teachers, turn out to be major hypocritical frauds like Ted Haggard:

He was even the president of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE)!
