I thought of Saul of Tarsus and Saint Matthew 7:22-24, and the Thief on the cross. Those are my go-to's with questions like this.

And when you look at those examples what conclusions do you come to regarding if faith precedes regeneration.

I love listening to Christian content.

I think I feed on about 4 hours of Christian content AT LEAST every day.
That's like 28 hours a week, over 100 hours a month.

We all have different appetites. I Understand.

There was a time when I could watch hours of other less wholesome content or mindless content for hours.

Now, I enjoy just digesting sermons, and Christian audio
like here ( Aneko Press - Christian Audiobooks ).
In fact, there are many people on this site that will watch hours of Christian content because it appeals to their appetite.

But with that said, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the issue,

So do I, but I don't like listening to Christian heresy.
I wind up shouting at the computer screen or the radio (as with Harold Camping.)

I think I feed on about 4 hours of Christian content AT LEAST every day.

Then you'd better have a good heresy radar detector.

I tend to read.
And my best learning comes from translating the Greek texts of the New Testament to English.

I think your topic is typically called "Prevenient Grace" in scholarly circles.

My problem here is the word "Faith"... There are FIVE different extant definitions of faith that float around up inside Christians' heads. So right off the bat I don't know what the title means since I have no idea what the participants mean by "faith."

That said, I'd much rather be in a live conversation with Christians, so I can learn what's bouncing around up inside that head of theirs.

One of these days I'll need to learn about podcasts and zoom calls and mind control lasers. ;^)

I see here that it does. Kind of like a person praying for the first time who expects a response. Physical regeneration is another matter, like in the case of Jairus' daughter, but spiritual regeneration in the case of Jairus applies. "God, help my unbelief!" to paraphrase.

I would call this "general revelation." General revelation does not bring faith; that only comes by hearing the Word of God.

Special revelation only comes from hearing the voice of Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God by which faith comes.

When a person hears the Gospel of their salvation, it only confirms within themselves what they already knew to be true.

Now they are able to believe (have faith) in their heart and confess with their mouth unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)

I don't think I've heard it put that way before, but the connection is a good one.

I know what you mean initially, and that gets lost in application. I'll share a particle of my humor here in the context of your above quote. And you may have heard things like these before:

I cannot see the wind, but I experience its effects. The wind is real.
I have not been to Japan, the Moon, or your home, so do they exist because others say so?
About quantifiable scientific measurements and that "big bang" thing Lol

This is still in response to your quote, because such people must initiate contact. As for response, you have human history and Christians to see for yourself.
