We are all different, as are our circumstances and our needs. Although we all share a common calling from God to die with him to sin and to walk in obedience to his commands in holy living, he gifts us all differently, and he gives us different assignments from him within the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12). The Bible does speak of people who share the gospel full-time that they should receive support from the body of believers in Christ, for all of us have bills to pay and food to buy and we need a place to live. Paul did not ask for money, from what I understand, but when support was offered, I think he gladly received it. So I don't think it is wrong to receive money for full-time Christian service, but we should leave that up to the Lord to show us the way we are to go with this. He supplied my husband and I with enough to meet our needs, and so I am not in need of financial support for what I do. But none of us should be greedy. None of us should work for the Lord for financial gain so that we can get rich, like some people do. But all of us should seek the will of the Lord and trust him to supply for our needs, however he chooses to do that. But we should all be generous and work for the Lord to minister to the needs of others and not so we can make a profit off of other people. This is what I believe on this subject. Sue
