In the parable of the 10 virgins we notice 5 are called wise and 5 are called foolish. The foolish took no oil for their lamps, but the wise took oil in their vessels to light their lamp. They were to await the Bridegrooms return, which represents the return of Christ.

The fact that they are all called virgins tells me they are all people of the faith in Christ. Paul said in
2 Corinthians 11:2
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

So these 10 were called to keep themselves pure for the Bridegroom, which is Christ. Also all 10 had lamps, which tells me all 10 had Gods written words. In
Psalm 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

So the difference between the virgins was 5 wise had oil in their vessels and the 5 foolish had none, which then caused their lamps to go out.

The oil in this parable represents the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit which illuminates our eyes of understanding into Gods written words.

In the law God gave many types and shadows in natural things to symbolize and foreshadow spiritual truths to be revealed later by the Spirit. In the law golden olive oil was used to light the lamp that burned in the tabernacle of the congregation. This light was meant to stay lit continually in the tabernacle of the congregation . This light represents the light of the Lord, which is to burn inside the vessels of the Church.

The golden olive oil was also to be used to anoint the ministers of the Lord, for to sanctify and consecrate them. Jesus said in

John 17:17-19
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.”

There are 2 types of wisdom, there is the wisdom that comes from above by God, and there is the wisdom of the world. It is written that God made foolish the wisdom of the world, which partly explains why the 5 without oil were called foolish.

It is the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit that illuminates our understanding in Gods words. Paul said in

Ephesians 1:17-18
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”

So without the Holy Spirit you are left in the dark.

Paul said in 1Th 5:19 - Quench G4570 not the Spirit.

Notice the word Quench is the same as “gone out” in the parable.

Mat 25:8 - And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for ourlamps are gone out. G4570

In Revelation 2:5 Jesus said

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent”

These were those who had left their first love and had fallen back into sin. They were in danger of having their lights put out.

So keep the faith and keep those lamps burning bright. Peace and God bless

One may consider that because the ten virgins are the kingdom of Heaven in Matthew 25:1 is that they are saved and do have the Holy Spirit but because they were out to the market seeking oil for their lamp as an analogy towards those who believe they can receive the Holy Spirit again after a sign or even seeking the Spirit as proof of salvation, & still receiving this phenomenon, is why they were not ready and missed out on the wedding reception within that kingdom of Heaven.

The 5 foolish may have started out in the faith, but clearly they had fallen away from the faith. The falling away from the faith is a major end time prophecy that has been ongoing for some time now.

I agree as I see it in "slain in the spirit" and the "holy laughter movement", Toronto's Blessings, Pensacola Outpouring, Ernest Angeley's Healing Crusade, and even seeking another baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of tongues or by that sign of tongues as well as those sinners seeking proof of salvation in that environment of seeking to receive the Holy Spirit by a sign or a phenomenon felt in that place.

But no matter what, who ever believes in Him are saved, but because they are not abiding in Him & His words, they are at risk of being left behind when the Bridegroom comes. There are 2 of the Father's will mention below.

John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Even though earlier there is a promise of no casting out....

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

And yet there is a casting out in John 15:2 & John 15:6 & Luke 12:40-49 & Revelation 2:18-25 and so how can John 6:37 align? By heeding His words on how the foolish virgins are part of the kingdom of heaven already but missed out on the wedding reception with the Bridegroom in that kingdom of heaven. These be the ones that are called the vessels unto dishonor, the vessels of wood & earth, for not departing from iniquity but still in His House per 2 Timothy 2:18-21

Unless those saved believers repent from this iniquity of these latter days, they are at risk of being left behind for not being ready as found abiding in Him & His words as His disciples to attend the Marriage Supper in His honor above.

I don’t believe the chosen or the elect of the Father will be lost, but only some of the called to the faith. Remember Jesus said many shall be called, but few are chosen. Jesus showed in the parable of the sower of the seed who would fall away from the faith and why.

Luke 8:11-15

King James Version

11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience”

Notice Jesus in verse 13 said that some would believe for awhile, but would later fall away. Same with those in verse 14, they believe for awhile but fall away because of cares, riches, and pleasures of this life. I believe verse 15 speaks of the chosen and elect of God who endure until the end.

But there is nothing to say I cannot apply that to mean chosen for the Marriage Supper above whereas those that have received the seed, Christ, are still saved but left behind for not abiding in Him & His words to be fruitful as His disciples. Note verse 2 & 6 in John 15:1-8 KJV

That is how and why those lost will be regained by Jesus Christ Matthew 18:10-14 KJV because He is the Good Shepherd and will lose none of all the Father has given Him John 6:39 KJV , but He has warned believers to be ready or else and this is why those left behind for being in iniquity were not ready to go when the Bridegroom comes. Luke 12:40-49 KJV <--- Noticed how those cut off, He still addresses as servants and how they get stripes per the knowledge they had for not being ready? Now read Hebrews 12:1-11 KJV in how the Father scourges ( whipping ) every child He receives that they may be partakers of His holiness because not running that race is the consequence in being a castaway 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 KJV

You can click on scripture references for it to pop a window up at Bible Gateway to read those scripture in the KJV if you want. Seems to be the only way to keep my post short, brother.

Sounds like you believe in that “once saved always saved” doctrine, but I don’t. Here is why….

Hebrews 6:4-8

King James Version

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.”

The reason for why verses 4-6 was written is to show that there is no necessity to repeat verses 1-3 of what new believers go through at conversion in joining a church.

In other words, when a believer goes astray, there is no necessity to repeat the gospel to him to be saved because he already knows and believes the gospel. There is correction & even rebuke by scripture for that believer to repent or else.

Do you bother to repeat the gospel to believers that err or do you not address the iniquity and correct by scripture instead?

As it is, when you consider that the rain received, life has been given to the earth, but only the weeds gets burned up in verses 7 & 8, you may see that analogy in 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 KJV for why everything that defiles the temple of God on that foundation is burned up but the foundation remains for why that believer is saved per verse 15 in spite of dying a physical death as stated in verses 16-17. That is why OSAS is true as He will lose none of all the Father has given Him.

Jesus is stating two of the Father's will. That is why OSAS is true when you compare 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 in the KJV with Hebrews 6:7-8 because the foundation remains as that rain does as received in the earth. Remember, the seal is forever as unto that day of redemption, but which resurrection will the believer be a part of; as Christ's the first fruits at the rapture event or they that be Christ's at His coming after the great tribulation?. That is why Jesus is warning saved believers to be ready or else.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Jesus didn't lose Judas. He knew where he was the entire time. God didn't lose any of the Israelites traveling in the wilderness for 40 years. He knew where every one of them were.
But some died along the way because of disobedience. None of the generation that left Egypt made in it into the promised land.
The wicked and lazy slave in Matt 25 was in the master's house, the master knew where he was, and how many talents he gave each. But at the end, he still cast the wicked
and lazy slave out. He couldn't be a slave unless he had a master.

Right now there are tares and weeds in the kingdom. Jesus hasn't lost any of them, He knows where they are.
Matt 13:41; "The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,
But one day He will remove them from His kingdom.

John 10:28; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
John 10:29; "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

No one can take you from Jesus, but you are free to leave on your own whenever you want. Also even though no one can take you from Jesus,
He Himself will cast some out in about a dozen verses. (including the wicked and lazy slave above).

Jesus didn't lose Judas. He knew where he was the entire time.
Judas was lost because he wasn't a believer and therefore he was not around at Pentecost to be born again and saved.

John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

John 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? 62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
God didn't lose any of the Israelites traveling in the wilderness for 40 years. He knew where every one of them were.

Even if a saved believer goes astray and denies Him for why He would deny them, but even if they did not believe in Him any more, He is faithful for why He still abides in those former believers & unrepentant saints left behind.

2 Timothy 2:
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

The problem with your interpretation there is, it is not the “works” that are getting burned up, but it is those trees who produce or bear those briers and thorns.

8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.”

You would have to put a spin on Jesus’ words concerning good trees and evil. And you would have to spin the vine and branch parable as well. I know because I have debated this OSAS doctrine before.

Those who follow that doctrine usually believe in a sin and still be saved doctrine, which is false.

Jesus said in

John 8:34-36
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Notice those who commit sin will not abide in the house FOREVER. In verse 36 Jesus is talking about making His servants FREE from sin. It is written
1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of Godsinneth not; but he that is begotten of Godkeepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.”

So yes, you can tell a tree by his fruit, or his lack thereof.

The problem with your interpretation there is, it is not the “works” that are getting burned up, but it is those trees who produce or bear those briers and thorns.
I believe you are mixing scriptures and therefore the mixing analogies here between trees in bearing fruit and the earth that produce briers and thorns which is improper.
8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.”
It is the earth that had received the rain and what produces from that rain is whether or not we sow to the works of the flesh which one can do religiously when you seek to do God's work in you by keeping a commitment religiously in following Christ which is the same as trying to finish by the flesh what He began with the Spirit or to look to Christ Jesus putting confidence in Him to finish Philippians 1:6 and thereby producing the fruits of the Spirit Philippians 1:11
You would have to put a spin on Jesus’ words concerning good trees and evil. And you would have to spin the vine and branch parable as well. I know because I have debated this OSAS doctrine before.
There are 2 application to Jesus's words in Matthew 7:13-27 as they both address apostasy in a different way; #1 the fruit of a false prophet is ecumenical in nature as gathering grapes of thorns and figs of thistles. Matthew 7:15-16 This was done by that ecumenical Nicene creed of 381 A.D. when they had broadened the way in the worship place to include the worship of the Holy Spirit withy the Father & the Son when the only way to come to the Father is by the only way of the Son John 14:6 any other way is an iniquity John 10:1 and the only way to honor the Father is by honoring only the Son and John 5:22-23 per the latter end of verse 23 leaves no wiggle room for the Holy Ghost..

Then the application of the kind of tree it is, is by how it produces fruit. Jesus said this for our discernment because when believers believe they can receive another baptism of the holy Ghost again by that sign of tongues as the initial calling used to be but now known as another baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of tongues.... their focus on receiving the Holy Ghost apart from salvation for a sign is that evil tree because those who use tongues for private use would judged slain in the spirit & holy laughter as not of God, but yet it s by the same tree, the same rudiment of seeking to receive the Holy Spirit "again" apart from salvation after those other signs.

Ernest Angeley's Healing Crusade would announce the falling of the holy Ghost on already saved believers to bring about healings, casting out of devils, and so called many wonderful works of God as some do fall backwards in a loss of self control there too but Matthew 7:21-23 exposes it as still workers of iniquity and the end result of that iniquity is losing self control & falling per that iniquity of focusing on the Holy Spirit in worship Matthew 7:24-27.

See how that all ties in? Nothing to do with Hebrews 6:1-8 at all, however Hebrews 6:1-8 does tie in with 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 by what was produced on the earth and what was sown on that foundation, but they are still saved.

So yes, you can tell a tree by his fruit, or his lack thereof.
Explain Matthew 5:19 for me then. How can anyone break the least of His commandments and teach others so, be in His kingdom of Heaven but known as the least?

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Is this the vessel unto dishonor, the vessels of wood & earth, that is in His House for not departing from iniquity in for why former believers are still saved per 2 Timothy 2:18-21 KJV? If saved believes depart from iniquity before the Bridegroom comes, they shall be received as vessels unto honor, vessels of gold & silver. But what are these vessels of wood & earth doing in His House that represents those that did not depart from iniquity, the vessels unto dishonor?

That which makes the vessel unto dishonor in His House is that which makes the least in the kingdom of Heaven... iniquity, and yet that foundation is sure as that seal of adoption is forever for why they are saved for they testify to the power of God in salvation for all those that believe in Him, even in His name John 1:12-13

So your verses above are misapplied, not only in regards to fruits, but about who is abiding in Him from those that are not as if not in that house, and yet the Son will finish His work in them that are left behind as the Son will set them free.

I believe you are mixing scriptures and therefore the mixing analogies here between trees in bearing fruit and the earth that produce briers and thorns which is improper.

God is talking about good and bad trees, which produce good or bad fruit. God is not talking about weeds, He is talking about people who are either good or evil according the the fruit they produce.
Notice the briers and thorns speak words, meaning they are people speaking evil words
Ezekiel 2:6
And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briersand thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
Hebrews 6:8
But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

God is speaking about evil people who produce evil works= Workers of iniquity

Luke 6:43-44
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

Matthew 12:33
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

You are trying to twist the meaning around and say that bad trees producing bad fruit are still going to be saved. Like I said before that OSAS doctrine has to twist words and meanings around to promote a sin all you want and still be saved doctrine. It sounds good to sinners, and it fills the church pews and offering plates, but it is false doctrine.

Maybe some day the Lord will reveal to you that you were the one twisting scriptures around in pushing anti-OSAS beliefs rather than address the scriptures that reproves what you say, but obviously your mind is made up not to address them.

Sorry friend but you are trying to say that those who fall away from the faith back to a life of willful sin are still going to be saved. That is nothing but a lie straight from hell.

Hebrews 10:26-27

King James Version

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

The warnings are crystal clear

Did you read on?

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

They are still His people.

What is the willful sin Paul is warning believers about? This willful sin is believing that there is still a need for another sacrifice for sins thus placing the blood of the new Covenant on par with the blood of goats and bulls that bears repeating again. That, brother, is asking for a scourging from the Father.

Hebrews 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

When does this scourging or whipping takes place? According to Jesus, when His servants are left behind for not being ready as they shall receive stripes per the knowledge they had for not being ready.

Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. 41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? 42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. 45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. 47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. 49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

OSAS is crystal clear to me and I hope in the Lord that He has made it clear to you because those left behind, no picnic is waiting for them, but stripes as it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Yes I’ve read it hundreds of times and it says they died without mercy and it also says that those who fall away from the faith and willfully sin will probably suffer a much sorer punishment. So death without mercy does not sound like salvation to me.

Hebrews 10:28-29

King James Version

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”

How you see these people as being “saved” is beyond me. How you try to explain away the true meaning of those other verses in Hebrews is also beyond me. But like I said before, those who hold to this doctrine have to twist , distort, spin, and misrepresent what is plainly being said in Gods words in order to hold to this false doctrine.

I have fought against this false doctrine for years, and those who spread these lies will also perish with the rest of the liars and deceivers.

Five of the ten damsels made the mistake of abandoning their positions along the
parade route to go shopping. What they should've done was stay put and endure
the shame of their ill preparedness. At least that way they wouldn't have missed
the food, the fun, the dancing, and the entertainment.

The parable's celebration was apparently open to the general public; anybody who
wanted could attend-- it was an open invitation, but only up to a certain point.
Once the reception commenced, and the door was shut, only late-arrivals known to
the groom were admitted.

This parable is similar in application to the parable of the wedding feast depicted at
Luke 14:16-20 where those invited allowed themselves to become distracted with
lesser priorities and consequently missed the party.

You keep reading yourself short of the truth, brother. God having vengeance, still calls them His people.

Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

This is how the Lord will have vengeance. He will give them stripes by His scourging.

Hebrews 12:Hebrews 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

This is when the Lord will have His vengeance by His scourging every child He receives and that is when they are left behind for not being ready.

Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? 42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. 45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; 46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

That is the whole point of being ready by the Lord's help or else those left behind will get stripes per the knowledge they had for not being ready and lesser stripes for the lack of knowledge for not being ready but they will get stripes.

And Jesus still addresses those servants as His servants as He still is Lord over those servants for why they are getting stripes for not being ready.

I apply that being out to the market to get oil ( the Holy Spirit ) is why they were not ready whereas those that were ready, knew they had the Holy Spirit since salvation to not be out to the market seeking to be filled.

Since both are of the kingdom of Heaven meaning they are born again of the Spirit to be in that kingdom of Heaven as citizens of that kingdom, I see being out to the market as denying that oil they had for why they were in that kingdom of Heaven, thus denying Him and being workers of iniquity for doing that.

Saved believers that have erred by chasing after a phenomenon believing it to be the Holy Spirit to receive after a sign like tongues for private use, to be slain in the spirit or holy laughter, can repent with His help and return to their first love, the Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, knowing that they had been filled with the Spirit since salvation that they need not be out to the market seeking to be filled ever again thus being ready for the Bridegroom when He comes.

This also includes sinners that sought as new believers a sign or proof of salvation by a supernatural phenomenon in that kind of environment where sinners even experience that phenomenon before they believe in Jesus Christ to be saved.

Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith..... 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Jesus is the only way to God the Father; not by that phenomenon. Jesus Christ is the Good News to man by believing in Him to be saved; not by feeling that phenomenon.
