A Christian man shouldn’t do things for others so he can receive something in return in this life. Jesus calls His followers to serve “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40) and said that people who serve those who cannot repay them here on earth will receive their reward in heaven.
If you’re like most men, you are often tempted to worry about yourself, even as you do all you can to serve others. Sometimes you might be tempted to spend your time building your own kingdom here on earth instead of working for God’s eternal kingdom. But that’s not how God wants you to think or live.
Ask God to renew your mind and change your heart so that you can focus on what matters most. Serving people and being a light for Jesus is a great way to stay connected to the Lord’s blessings. Spend your time looking for ways to be a blessing to others, and let God handle the blessings He has for you.
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for spending so much time thinking about myself and how I can be blessed in this life. Help me to worship You by forgetting about myself and serving You and others out of a heart of pure, selfless love. Please give me opportunities to serve others.
I remembered one day that portion of “Scripture” slap me in the face when I was reading my Bible.

I was in the house cleaning the house and had done the lawn and Garden.. We have 3 and a half bath rooms. About 3600 sq ft. Of living space a full basement 2 kitchens, my wife don’t hardly do anything but want. My son in his bathroom he has a large washer and dryer in his bath room alone in a Separate room in the bathroom. They don’t do nothing but make more work for me! I take care of the yard and the house! And cook. I use to give dinners I cook thanksgiving and clean house for guest a cook Christmas dinner bake cakes and banana pudding and clean up afterwards, have barbecue’s our wood floors looks like “Betty Crockers”. The double ovens look brand new in the inside and they are over 20!years old, we have off white carpet in the master bathroom! “My daddy warn me these days will come, you got to much
He used to help me when he was alive, come to my house and clean up a little while I was out of Town. He would say, I got you cover son.
One day. I was reading that text you posted. When you have a feast, these are the ones you are suppose to invite! I was not inviting done of them!
I was inviting mother, brother and his kids, people from church, pastor, head choir director, the lawyer, the doctor, the professor at university!
The school teacher, the engineer the Senators daughter…,And it hit me “Why call me “LORD LORD” and do nothing I say!
Feeding all these pagans wearing me out too! Washing dishes moping floors, Dusting, shopping for food. Cooking all night, making the yard look pretty and setting out flowers inside and outside the home. And nobody doing but me! “the way of a Transgressor is hard” I came to a complete STOP! I told my family I ain’t cooking no holidays no more! I ain’t decorating no more, I ain’t Decorating the house no more for Christmas, Easter, no more! They got mad! I been this since I was 8 or 10 years old! My mama didn’t have no girls. And my cousins were not coming over, they said our house was to clean and my mama will put them to work. Everyday you wash the dishes you mop the floor too! I still do that everyday! So that scripture not only convicted me it also delivered me with Prosecution!
I don’t even drive no more. I got a v8 car in the garage that is 25 years old and been in there for 16 years and driven a few time going to Walmart and Krogers in summer. I got a V8 dodge sitting in the drive it has been sitting a long time too, years! I do not have any where to go! I ain’t giving, no more dinners! For a long time! I don’t go to church! So, I am the “Poorest one here! When I retired, before I could draw “Social Security” they ask me how I was going to eat! In my own house, wife makes over a “$100,000 a year. Daughter made over $60,000 a year, and the young son I don’t know what he makes. We have no house payment no car payments no credit card payments no maid but me. No Gartner, but me! They had the nerve and quoted “he don’t work he don’t eat”
I been buying Groceries all their lives and marriage! Me and my parents been feeding these creatures wife and kids! And washing their clothes too!

And I was “Physically disabled” by The Court systems around 1980. And I can take any form of “Hydrocodone” anytime hospital Authorize! A lifetime injury. Constant pain never ending! And since I retired I do not take nothing but a 80mg Aspirin! Before then a title pain reliever once in a while, but still Receive mind Boggling pain Spikes, I have been the Hospital 2 times since I been on talk Jesus, The Emergency Vehicle had to come get me one time I pass out from “Covid 19” s only stayed in the hospital about 20 hours and was Isolated in a private room! I was laying down on the lobby floor when a nurse came by and got me up in a Isolated lobby section, somebody had cover me with their coat and left the coat, it had the hospital name on the back of it I told the nurse it was not my coat, then when I got a bed in a semi- private room this nurse look at me, yes she was white, she said I like you! I am going to take real good care of you! Yes she did! She called my daughter and told her I got a brother who is a minister he got sick with “Covid 19” and had a stroke. And I am going to take care of your dad, and don’t you worry. And the name of Jesus or The Church never came up. Then they put me in a private room I thought I was going to die.
I knew or thought my change was coming it got bad for moment they put me on that floor it was flowers every where quiet the death zone nice music playing softly
It got quiet, nice bed push button for this for that. I got sick as a dog, chest pains then all of a sudden they said your oxygen level is kinda low but we will not have to give you oxygen I started to getting better and about 12 midnight they said I could go home, my daughter friends her mother went to the hospital too, that day she die.
That’s is enough information.
