SignUp Now!The Holy Spirit cannot contradict Jesus, so either Paul didn't have the Holy Spirit, or "not of works" actually means keep the commandments if you want to live.hehe
The Witness of God is Greater. How about the passage says what it means-- not of works and you don't have an understanding of what inspired means.
No. No way. It is never as a filthy rag to obey God.That verse is saying that God sees what We think are good works as dirty rags.
People are taught wrong about the filthy rags scripture.Which is why what we think are good works for salvation, aren't needed or wanted by God. The blood of Jesus Christ that was she'd on the cross is all that's needed for a person's salvation.
The 'not of works' that Paul speaks of is that no one is to do the purification/ceremonial works anymore.Of course there's the need for repenting as part of salvation. But it's not a good work. Because Ephesians 2 passage says Not of works , lest sny man should boast'.
Your last paragraph makes no sense. "Not of works" means no works. Period. The Witness of God is Greater.
Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
-The Holy Spirit cannot contradict Jesus, so "not of works" can only mean yes of works, or else it is not inspired.
God put man above the animals, and we can decide when to kill for food and or safety. We can also decide when to have a loved pet put to sleep if it is suffering. It's not an assumption, it is a deduction from the fact that the Same Father created both man and animals. And if the Same Father created them both, we deduce they are brothers because they have the same Father.
Paul didn't teach wrong when he said 'not of works'. People misunderstand Paul. Paul was explaining we no longer do the purification works of the law.It is just one witness of men, but it doesn't matter, the Way to the Father is Jesus, not Paul. So, if you want to go to the Father you follow what Jesus says, not Paul. And Jesus says that if we keep His commandments we shall live. Anything that goes against the Word of God is false doctrine. Jesus is the Word of God, not Paul.
It would make sense if you had believed in Jesus, and trusted His Words, because they are True. Remember Jesus is the Way to the Father, not Paul. If you want to go to the Father you do what Jesus says, not Paul. Because the Witness of God is Greater. So, "not of works" can only mean yes of works, or else it isn't inspired, because the Holy Spirit will not contradict Jesus, The Truth.Your last paragraph makes no sense. "Not of works" means no works. Period.
I would disagree, with the dietary laws, because shedding innocent blood will always be unlawful. And the Sabbath day, will always be Holy, because God sanctified it, and He will never "de-sanctified".Works of the law:
The Burnt Offering; The Grain Offering; The Fellowship Offering; The Sin Offering; The Guilt Offering; Dietary Laws; Purification After Childbirth; Cleansing From Infectious Skin Diseases; Cleansing From Mildew; Discharges Causing Uncleanness; The Day of Atonement; Rules for Priests; The Sabbath; Firstfruits; The Passover and Unleavened Bread; Feast of Weeks; Feast of Trumpets; Feast of Tabernacles; Oil and Bread Set Before The LORD; the Sabbath Year; The Year of Jubilee; Circumcision.
Then you are accusing all the prophets and Jesus himself of sinning.I would disagree, with the dietary laws, because shedding innocent blood will always be unlawful.
All special days were about Jesus. And the Sabbath day, will always be Holy, because God sanctified it, and He will never "de-sanctified".
God also put man above the childreen, and you can't kill them based on that. Neither for food, because they aren't food.God put man above the animals, and we can decide when to kill for food
No, that is impossible, so the only one to blame here, is the devil and his lies. Then you are accusing all the prophets and Jesus himself of sinning.
I am going by scriptures. You seem to be going by something else, almost comedy.God also put man above the childreen, and you can't kill them based on that. Neither for food, because they aren't food.
So when Abel sacrificed an animal, and Cain gave fruits of the soil....?Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
-And before you say it "changed" understand that He doesn't change, nor His Word, nor His Law.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Psalm 119:89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
Baruch 4:1 This is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that endureth for ever: all they that keep it shall come to life; but such as leave it shall die.
You think the Bible is full of lies? No, that is impossible, so the only one to blame here, is the devil and his lies.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
That is your own understanding, because Scripture will show you the One that created man, created the animals also, so they are brothers because they have the same Father. You seem to be going by something else
Abel didn't blood sacrificed an animal, because Abel is righteous, not wicked. So when Abel sacrificed an animal, and Cain gave fruits of the soil....?
Whose offering did God accept?
Not full. You think the Bible is full of lies?
There is no way the Almighty God didn't leave us His written words in a book that we can trust. Not full.
Jeremiah 8:8 “How can you say, ‘We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us’? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood.
-But Jesus warned us about false prophets and false Christs.
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
-Wolves in sheep's clothing, and tares among the wheat.
Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
He did, He preserved His Word in such a way that I can still prove to you killing animals is unlawful, just from Scripture. But because of Justice He also allowed for tares among the wheat, to see who really loves Him. Because you can quote a dozen verses where it says God said to kill animals, and shed innocent blood. So, it all comes down to what voice do you listen to, His voice or the voice of strangers. There is no way the Almighty God didn't leave us His written words in a book that we can trust.
