Why Do You Have No Power?

That is not a commandment
You do not even know the Difference between the 2 words terms. “A Commandment” and the word term “a “Command” in the context of the texts it is written.
Please, please, please take up at least a high school English class or read a “Collegiate Dictionary” and read a Excellent and good reliable “Bible dictionary” if you cannot afford “ISBE” and just read it. And learn the definitions of common words. And how paragraphs are form and how to read paragraphs.

It would be a big help.

“As nouns the difference between commandment and command
is that commandment is something that must be obeyed; a command or edict while command is an order, a compelling task given to an inferior or a machine.”

GOD “Trumps” you words and thoughts every time, rather you like it or not.

Are not these 'choices'.
@God's Truth

When you consider free will, that would mean you have will power to do those choices you make, but scripture says no matter how much the spirit is willing the flesh is weak and so therefore what is impossible with man, is possible with God.

We can choose this day whom we will serve, the Lord Jesus Christ or something else in His name, but I have found that I needed His help to serve Him and nothing ese in His name like when I was confronted with that apostate holy laughter movement. I did not know what was going on and never made the connection that He was warning me about this very thing a week earlier even though it was impressed upon me to make that choice that day a week earlier.

Eventually, it don on me that He kept me from losing self control and "falling" in that movement to wind up serving that movement in seeking to share the glory of that movement towards other saved believers. All I had experienced was a hand pushing me 3 times on my shoulder behind me to go forward when there was no one behind me in the pew to do that. That was the spirit of the antichrist that was in the world that I had felt as He that is in me, kept me from falling.

It took Him also a while to set me free from all my yokes of bondages too. I was on the evangelical team to lead believers in making a commitment to follow Christ, but when I had accomplished this foul deed, I had thought to myself, I did it, but the Lord chastened me by saying "No. I did. " and He tried to tell me something else but I was unable to receive it at that time because I could not fathom the church had led me astray.

One day, I came across a pamphlet from Bill Rudge's Ministries which by use of scripture, had convicted me of the words of my mouth for cussing out at the warehouse to relieve stress whenever any one was not around. But on the back of the pamphlet, it led me to make a covenant with my mouth and so I did in not cussing out at the warehouse any more.

But the very next day, I was worse than I ever was before. After disregarding thoughts that I was not His for if I was His, He would have helped me with my covenant, I had asked the Lord why He was not helping me for truly I was at my wits end.

A small still voice, not audible but I heard Him say, "You made the covenant. You said you were going to do it. I made the Covenant and I said I will do it. All I ask from you is to believe in Me".

I was humbled that day. When Promise Keepers movement was abounding in my valley and my local church was leading the charge, I tried to warn every one that this was a movement men and not of God. I was attending 2 bible studies at the time and the men in one said PK was about making promises to men in helping one another be accountable and not to Gd because they knew it is wrong to make promises to God. And the irony is the other Bible study said the opposite, saying man cannot be around all the time to help us keep our promises so they knew better to make promises to men but only to God. I had never been to a PK convention but I knew from the literature that it was about both.

A Catholic/Mason was trying to defend it b saying, isn't a commitment to follow Christ like a promise? And then he said sure it is as if settling the matter, but that made me realize what the Lord was trying to tell me earlier in my life at that day on the evangelical team. Then He had set me free from that commitment to make Jesus Lord of my life to rest in him all the way in helping me to follow Him as it is written that the just shall live by faith. I had been doing the best I can and was miserable because I was failing but He would forgive me and help me get back up, but like an idiot, I would show my appreciation for His forgiveness and His help by trying to keep that commitment again, but yet failing again.

It is better to rely on the Lord all the time for any choices ( not commitments, nor pledges, nor promises ) I have made in regards to Him because by that choice, I am asking Him to help me to do His commandments and the Father's will. This is His Covenant and I believe Him to finish what He has started in me to His glory.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: 7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. 8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. 9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage..... 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure..... 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

I testify that Jesus is my Good Shepherd & Friend in helping me to follow Him as I could not follow Him by doing the best I can in the flesh in keeping my commitment, pledges, promises, nor the covenant with my mouth.

This is how I get to know Him and the power of His resurrection when I see myself following Him by His grace & by His help due to His Covenant for why I am living by faith in Him rather than by any boast of man by man made bondages.

hopefully the Lord has helped me to convey to you both of what He as done for me, is doing, and will finish to His glory where no flesh can glory in His Presence in Heaven.

1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's; 23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

1 Corinthians 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

By the grace of God we have been saved by believing in Him as our Savior and by that same grace of God we can follow Him by believing in Him to be our Good Shepherd & Friend to help us to do this.

None of you reading this has any power.
Why is it that way with you?
Careful there, brother. Ever saved believer has Jesus Christ in us as He is the power to live as the sons of God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

You do not want to deny the Lord that bought any of those professing believers.

2 Peter 2:1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Don't be afraid to make the pledge, but be afraid to break the pledge!

Listen to what Jesus says:

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Did you read that? See it? Coming into a covenant with God is a pledge, if you call it that or not.

Just listen to what Paul says about a water baptism...

Romans 6:3 Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

Romans 6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Paul is describing water baptism. The believer comes to make the pledge to God, to die to the sins of the world; so now standing in the water the believer falls back, as if dead; then, the believer goes under the water, buried; then, the believer rises up out of the water, raises up to live a new life.

Water baptism is a ceremony, symbolic of what usually has already happened in the believer.

I don't know if you ever got married, but your marriage to your wife is a pledge.

Do you see now?

Who told you? You have free will. Who you been talking to?

You are in bondage! You are a “Slave” either way it goes! You ain’t been “Redeem” yet, for it is “Indicative”.

This all is pertaining to your post.

You came out the “Shoot”, meaning the bulls holding pen. And The “Girth” was not even “fasten” let alone tight.
In other words in laymen terms, you fell off as soon as the gate open. Pertaining to your post.

Sorry you fell off and the saddle too!

And the “Ground” was “The Truth”, meaning it was Hard and it Hurt.

Understand,, if you do understand, you have one of The Gifts of Languages. For you have been “edified”.
Growing is painful sometimes.
But many cannot stand “The Truth” but only have “itching ears”

It looks like God is looking out for you, but it does seem you still get into some false beliefs. Like faith alone, and, your worry about coming into the covenant with God through Jesus.
I am in His Covenant by believing in Him. The Old Covenant was man doing the best they can under the law to save themselves as well as live as His people and had failed. The New Covenant is God's turn of what He will do for us and all He asks from us is to believe Him.

I'd say the answer of a good conscience toward God is believing the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Those translation STILL MEAN THE SAME, even though they use different wording.
I submit to you that baptism can also be referring to the baptism with the Holy Ghost for why I say it is referring to the baptism with Holy Ghost at our salvation when we believe in Him to be saved.
When one wants to be saved, IT IS A PLEDGE. It is.

Don't be afraid to make the pledge, but be afraid to break the pledge!
A believer's pledge, promise, or commitment is a believer announcing that he is going to work at doing the best he can in keeping that pledge in following Him as men can boast and give credit & glory for men in doing so.

A believer's faith in Jesus Christ is a believer announcing that He is going to work in his life for how he is following Him for why others will praise God for how he is good & doing good.

A sinner cannot do anything to save himself. He has come to the end of himself recognizing his need for God to save him, and all that is required from us is to believe in Him.

The same goes for following Him. We cannot do it by doing the best we can by keeping a pledge, but by faith in Jesus Christ in His New Covenant to us that He will do this, by enabling us to follow Him, thus the just shall live by faith
Listen to what Jesus says:

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Did you read that? See it? Coming into a covenant with God is a pledge, if you call it that or not.
For a Jew to do that, is akin to looking back to doing the best he can like he did under the Old Covenant. So where is the difference under the New Covenant in according to your belief?

Either you believe God that He will do it all in having saved you by simply believing in Him as our Savior and then, since saved, and helping you to follow Him by simply believing in Him to be our Good Shepherd.

Just ask the Lord if those 2 verses are not just pertaining to the baptism with the Holy Ghost that occurs when we are born again of the Spirit at our salvation moment.
I don't know if you ever got married, but your marriage to your wife is a pledge.

Do you see now?
Can you find the wedding vows in scripture?

Let us look at what He says a man's covenant is.

Galatians 3:15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

Now when it comes to God's covenant of marriage that He performs, it is the same where no one should be adding vows of love to each other in that ceremony because He is the One joining the 2 together; not their personal vows of love to join each other together. Indeed, who can plan for tomorrow regarding what they shall do with their love and also, love is not boastful nor proud.

James 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Then we go back to Jesus words regarding how spouses are simply to say yes in taking each other as their spouse, agreeing with the Lord to make them one flesh.

Matthew 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil..

You do realize that making a pledge or a vow is placing a bondage on yourself?

Numbers 30:2 If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath
to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.

Galatians 5:1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

if you really believe Paul was making a pledge as you say, then explain how he can write Galatians 5:1 as it is written? Reads to me plainly that he speaks against man made bondages.

Plus, a pledge or a vow means the believer is at work, and so once again, how can a believer say he is applying these verses below of entering into that rest if he is still working?

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Now we go to this verse often take out of context for the meaning it was given because they ignore verse 13.

Philippians 2:
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:... 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

What happens when man takes God's Covenant and puts it in his mouth to do by pledges & commitments?

Psalm 50:
14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Those who recognize that they are in trouble for making pledges and vows, can ask Jesus to forgive them and set them free to rest in His New Covenant to us in trusting Him to do His work to help us in following Him.

16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee. 18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. 19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. 20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. 22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

I am at peace now, set free from all pledges commitments, promises, and covenant as I rely on Him all the time for helping me to follow Him as all He had asks of me is to believe Him, and I thank Him that I do for His New Covenant to me.

I find that since He has set me free, He has been helping me to follow Him a whole lot better than I ever tried to do by doing the best I can. That is how I get to know Him & the power of His resurrection when I see myself following him by my faith in Jesus Christ.

You are steeped in false Calvin doctrine.

I submit to you that baptism can also be referring to the baptism with the Holy Ghost for why I say it is referring to the baptism with Holy Ghost at our salvation when we believe in Him to be saved.

Just ask the Lord if those 2 verses are not just pertaining to the baptism with the Holy Ghost that occurs when we are born again of the Spirit at our salvation moment.

A Covenant, a Last Will and Testament, is a legal binding contract.

You cannot be in the Covenant, Last Will and Testament, if you do not do what the Testator says.

You might hear and believe false teachers tell you faith alone, but that is not what the Lord says.

No pastor can tell you that you are saved.

We are saved the way Jesus Christ says we are.

Jesus tells us more than just believe.

I find that since He has set me free, He has been helping me to follow Him a whole lot better than I ever tried to do by doing the best I can. That is how I get to know Him & the power of His resurrection when I see myself following him by my faith in Jesus Christ.
May I ask, free from what, and into what?

So when you got free, where did you go?

oh are you saying freedom to choose. The Good from The Bad. Freedom to choose the ways of GOD or the ways of The Devil?
So you are free and not in The Bondages of Righteousness “ own by another, and have become a “Slave unto Righteousness” and now you have a “LORD and MASTER” who paid a price for you. He purchased you! Ok, why call me “MASTER, MASTER” and do nothing I say, so since you do not obey me you are not my Slave and I do not know you!

Where did you learn that evasion from the truth tactic? You don't know who John Calvin and Martin Luther is? Sure you do, you are steeped in falseness with them.
No I never said I knew nothing about The Theologians “John Calvin” of “Martin Luther” The Reformers. I said; “Calvin” who?
Matter of fact do even know what a “Theological” or “Biblical” Doctrine is and I doubt if you even studied The Doctrines of “John Calvin” to even mention his name.
If so could that classified as “Fake News”?

We are saved the way Jesus Christ says we are.

Jesus tells us more than just believe.
Let us look at this New Covenant.

Hebrews 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

The difference between the Old Covenant and the New is that under the New, this time God is going to do it. There is nothing in that New Covenant testifying to what is on us to do, but to believe Him that He will perform the New Covenant.

May I ask, free from what, and into what?
Free from looking to myself in doing the best I can in keeping my commitment to make Jesus Lord of my life and to follow Him where now I have been set free to rest in him and all His promises to me that He will help me to follow Him.
So when you got free, where did you go?
To rest in Jesus Christ believing in Him for all things, not just for eternal life, but the abundant life where I get to know Him in how He helps me to follow Him by faith in Jesus Christ as my Good Shepherd alone.
oh are you saying freedom to choose. The Good from The Bad. Freedom to choose the ways of GOD or the ways of The Devil?

He purchased you! Ok, why call me “MASTER, MASTER” and do nothing I say, so since you do not obey me you are not my Slave and I do not know you!
Thanks to Him, I may have the freedom from sin to choose, but I know the power in living unto God is by my faith in Him alone.
