How Do You Know You Are Saved?

So like the prodigal son, that gave up his first inheritance to wild living, Esau can never get it back, but he is still son. That is not the case for Judas Iscariot.
Joh 6:64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

Jesus said a prayer to the Father that leads me to not accept what you have shared.

John 17:7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

Even though Judas Iscariot repented of betraying him, he still did not believe in Him to hope in Him for himself not to commit suicide. That is my understanding of this scripture so far.

Your quote:
“Jesus said a prayer to the Father that leads me to not accept what you have shared.”
What ever gave you the foggiest idea I expect you to accept anything I say about GOD or HIS recorded Words.
I do not take you for a fool to believe anything I say, “I am Not GOD, neither do I claim to be.

Where did you get such an idea like that?
Who have you been fellowshipping with?

Difference between Esau and Judas Iscariot, Isaac did give Esau a blessing where Judas was given none. Judas was lost see post #38 in this thread for John 17:7-13 .

Genesis 27:36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me? 37 And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son? 38 And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept. 39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above; 40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.

May I ask what kind of “Credentials” and authority you have to teach or instruct concerning the lives of “Isaac, Esau, and give a commentary on “Judas Iscariot”.
If we are going to discuss the “Text” Thread title at hand let’s us do so,
And refrain from drifting else where would be fair.
Ok, I am being nice.

warning you ain’t “Heavy enough”

If you are truly saved by receiving God's free gift of Faith and Belief in Jesus's works....you do not have to ask this question, you JUST know!

Who has no real Faith?
Salvation is more than faith. Receiving the Spirit of Christ gives us the right to become a child of God,........but when do we become a child of God?

Christ came into the world to save His people from their sins. He saves us by placing us under the grace of God for our faith, frees us of condemnation by the curse for

sins of the Mosaic Law, and relieves our conscience of the burden of guilt when we are forgiven of past sins committed. But what about the sin in our life, the sins of

the flesh that can destroy the lives of believers and unbelievers. A believer can be clear of the past, but we need to to cleansed of the iniquity, the unrighteousness in

our life to become an heir of God. We might ask ourselves, are there any sins of the flesh I need to be cleansed of, or have I gained the victory over them by repenting

of them. This is the regeneration by the washing of the water of the Word of God, the Bible. God saves us from the sin in our life by cleansing us of our

unrighteousness, those areas of our life we need to deal with, such as any sins of the flesh as seen in Romans 1:18-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21. The

Bible says, those who practice righteousness are born of God (1 John 2:29), and those who practice unrighteousness (sins of the flesh) shall not inherit the Kingdom of

God (from Galatians 5:21), those who mortify the deeds of the body shall live (from Romans 8:13), those who overcome the world [lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and

pride of life] shall inherit all things (Revelation 21:7). New believers can have confidence they will be saved, for whoever calls upon the Lord shall be saved, but we

should be mindful to work with the Lord to clean up any unrighteousness in our life to inherit the Kingdom of God. A new believer is forgiven to be reconciled to God

and restored to life, and then grows in grace and wisdom as we are made in the image of God by being conformed to a likeness of Jesus Christ.

With thanksgiving to GOD our Father for His love and grace, in the name of the Lord Jesus,..........may GOD bless

Sounds faithful and good to me, I wish it was more like you, for it is the kind of encouragement the “True Body of Christ” needs. At a time like this. It strengthens us into “Sanctification unto Holiness”.

What a washing and bathing of the soul your words have given.
This type of anointing has been lost among many Christian’s, they have no “Sanctifying” anointing whatsoever they have lost or never had the “Purifying Oil in their Satchel” but just biblical Words that have been polluted by The Vessel they came out of,, no sanctifying what so ever. These vessel are creatures that had ever learning and Never came to the “Knowledge of TRUTH! They Have no “Sanctification” Oil what so ever!
The poison sap flows from “un-sanctifying” souls that has never been wash by The Washing of “The WORD”, so in essence their lies has remain the same and their ways of “Deception” have been given “The Double-O-7” call sign” They think they have been given “The License TO LIE” and to Deceive Their Brothers and Sisters in “Jesus Christ”, with no “Repercussions” whatsoever.

For the Christian’s it seems today are nothing more than love counsellor, and have only mere words for they are nothing more but “sensual “ no “Christ” at all in their religious and worldly thoughts and words, their kinds words are dead! No life at all just religious feel good words and they are not “Christ-Like” but their kind and comforting biblical words are dead and no life whatsoever:

“they will never have these words address to them”
NASB 1977
The officers answered, “Never did a man speak the way this man speaks.”

A lot of Christian’s think they can just Quote Scripture and it becomes The Word of GOD! With no Anointing on them whatsoever !

GOD is not A Fool to let The Breath of LIFE flow from an unclean vessel

And you can keep That Donkey Story to yourself, for That story comes under another heading for another day!

That Note, was only for “The skeptics”!

Mere bible quotes coming out of a mouth and sweet love story’s and kindness is not “a Light That Sits on Hill” nor is it “The Heavenly Jerusalem” that will come out of The Sky!

The Light comes from The Oil, That flows from The Soul, It is “THE ANOINTING” that makes one whole.

Fancy Church reasoning without any real meaning.
Christ said his father would draw people to him- and you think they didn't know both Him and Christ?

To all the readers out there, I pray the Lord ministers to your heart that you are saved because by your believing in Him is the work of the Father for otherwise you would never be able to believe in Him, not even in His name.

John 6: 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. 26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. 27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Certainly not by a sign of tongues which is to serve as a sign to the unbelievers; not to the believers.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Galatians 3: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. .... 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

So just the fact that you are believing in Him is a work of the Father for why you should know you are saved by faith in Jesus Christ
His Spirit bears witness with us that we are children of God scripture says
If you are not feeling the witness of his Spirit pray until you do
:-)

You can save your ink, I did not call him, I didn’t choose Him, He Chose me! So my salvation ain’t fake and I do not have a “Genie” in the bottle where I summons him and he obey’s my wishes and commands.
I had a “Miraculous Conversion” and didn’t have to give my hand to a preacher. Or stand before some and mumble some words I knew nothing about, words behind a preacher who confess I was saved.
So in essence save that print and ask GOD to print it on you soul so you do not have to copy and print it down.
I did not say anything about your salvation being fake. What I did share was my concern that you seem to infer or imply looking for a sign as in your change.

You had posted "Well, I been retired since 2015 and waiting for my change to come. I been on this journey since 1977. And have lecture, preach, instruct many of creeds, Colors nationalities, and advised, those who are in The Body of Christ chaplains, preacher, Pastor…etc. And not by choice and protested, and argued with GOD in total rebellion! Until He reminded me, what I was and who I belong too! And shut up! And I don’t want to hear about it no more! And do what I told you do! [Hyperbole]" End of quote

It did come across to me that you were seeking a sign by that change in you. Now if you had sought this by experiencing a phenomenon, then my concern for you is valid, because in the UK, the first revival that had this phenomenon, many drunkards came to Christ' supposedly changed by that phenomenon in seeking for that change in their lives. But after the hoopla was over, media reported that these converts went back to the wine to receive their drunkenness that way again.

Today, drugs addicts are "changed" by this phenomenon saying that now they get high on the Lord. I have yet to hear the fallout from that whether or not they go back to the drugs when that phenomenon does not visit them any more to give them that high. Discern Khundalini for why what they had sought a change by was not from the Lord, but for seeking that change by that phenomenon.

I do not know what it is that you have experienced exactly for you in seeking this change, but just giving you a heads up for why you should discern the spirits with the Lord Jesus Christ, because if you gave that credit for that change to that phenomenon rather than to coming to & believing in Jesus Christ, then you are not serving the Lord Jesus Christ for sinners to come to for that change, but serving that phenomenon in His name. Read Matthew 7:21-23 as they did the same. If they fell down in a loss of self control, as Jesus described them in Matthew 7:24-27, then ask Jesus if you are in that iniquity that you need His help to depart from.

As far as I am concern as scripture testifies, you were saved the moment you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ & that God has raised Him from the dead. Living a life of repentance is by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us lay aside every weight & sin daily to walk in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son, as this race will not be done until He takes us Home.

Know what, whatever kind of other “ clairvoyant “ skills you want to express my way?
Are you listening or are you still dull of hearing or are you in need of a Interpreter to translate certain Thought patterns that I trying to commute to your mind? Speak up down or hold your peace.
But please be careful how you chew.

“For many are called BUT only. A few are chosen”
Now that is good news too, some do not have to “Strive”. They are “Chosen”
When they broaden the way in the worship place to include the worship of the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son, they do so ignoring the only way to come to God the Father in worship John 14:6 and the only way to honor the Father in worship John 5:22-23 thus by climbing up another way is why many believers & churches are workers of iniquities, ( thieves ) as John 10:1 testifies,

The real indwelling Holy Spirit will never take the spotlight away from the Son in worship but the spirits of the antichrist will by their visitations and signs & lying wonders. The Holy Spirit is sent to dwell in us to testify of the Son ( John 15:26 ) to glorify the Son ( John 16:14 ) thru us ( John 15:27 ). The Holy Spirit will not lead us in any other way in worship for why this is the mind of Christ we are to have in worship, fellowship, & prayer Philippians 2:5-13

Seek His face, brother. Ask Jesus to help you keep your eyes on the Bridegroom because that is Whom the Holy Spirit is still pointing sinners and not just us to keep on going to in living that reconciled relationship with God by.

Joh 6:64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)
Right. Judas Iscariot had never believed in Him. And yet he was given a temporary indwelling of the Holy Ghost in Matthew 10th chapter.

Matthew 10:1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

So the disciples were not saved in Matthew 10th chapter and neither were they saved in John 20:22 because Jesus said that the promise of the permanent indwelling Holy Ghost was to be sent by the Father when Jesus was no longer present with them ( John 14:25-26 ). So that was why He told them to wait in Jerusalem for the promise i.e. the power which is referring to their salvation after He had ascended so they too can share like testimony that they had received the promise of the Spirit by faith in Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith...... 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

For a saved believer to preach another receiving of the Holy Ghost apart from salvation is preaching the very iniquity that is causing the falling away from the faith in these latter days. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 & Matthew 12:39 & 2 Corinthians 11:3-4

His Spirit bears witness with us that we are children of God scripture says
If you are not feeling the witness of his Spirit pray until you do
:)
John 16:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

No outward sign is needed. The very fact that you believe in Him is a work of the Father for why we are all children of God by faith in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.... 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

You will not know if you are saved until after you are judged on the great and terrible day of the Lord.

You will not know if you are saved until after you are judged on the great and terrible day of the Lord.
I know I am saved since I had first come to & believed in the Lord Jesus Christ & that God has raised Him from the dead.

Right now, I am trusting Jesus Christ to be my Good Shepherd & Friend in helping me to look to Him daily to enable me to lay aside every weight & sin in running that race to be accepted by the Bridegroom.

All believers are saved, even former believers, but are all believers abiding in Him when the Bridegroom comes? Jesus did prophesy that many will not be able to enter in when He comes as the Bridegroom. Luke 12:40-49 & Luke 21:33-36

I do declare my hope in the Lord Jesus Christ for all things as my confidence is in Him to finish His work in me to His glory.

1 John 3:13 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure..... 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

You need to seperate what man says vs what Jesus says.

Jesus says that at the judgement people are going to be surprized that they are amoung the saved and people are going to be surprized that they are amoung the damned. It does not help to have faith or believe in what Jesus says unless you actually do what Jesus says. Jesus teaches it is the doer-works- that will be used to determine one's salvation or damnation.
