Is Russia invading Ukraine part of Daniel chapter 11?

Armies have been marching north and south ever since. Daniel is clearly looking forward to conflicts within the Persian empire and with its neighbours. I don't believe it is speaking directly of Russia / Ukraine events today.

It looks like Russia has amassed more then 100,000 troops along the border with Ukraine. Not the first time. They did the same last year as well.

Russia is putting pressure on Ukraine to uphold the 'Minsk Agreements' put in place with the assistance of Germany and France which Ukraine has consistently avoided and failed to implement.

ultra-nationalists who gained power through the Maidan revolution of 2013/14 - they passed legislation forbidding Russian as an official language for any government services or business.
Likewise these cultural attacks against significant minorities also were directed against Hungarian speaking Ukrainians in the Transcarpathia region of western Ukraine -

Takes two to tango. Meaning it's no longer valid, if one side no longer agrees with the tenets of said agreement, even though the other side still does.
There in is the problem. Both sides must agree to the validity of said agreement even if they no longer abide by the resolution found therein.
The Geo-Politics involved here will also be exacerbated by other world players, i.e., US, UK, European Union, China, etc. Each looking for an advantage from what could easily become a life costing endeavor on the parts of Russia/Ukraine.

The way it was written, you couldn't understand what the chapter actually described until afterwards. This was of course, by design.
But 2000 years later we read it and can't understand it either, because the kingdoms it describes no longer exist.

Keep in mind there could be several options, as the chapter's fulfillment covers close to 300 years. Think of it as a chapter written not to prove to us that Jesus is the messiah, but to prove to the Jews that Daniel bore witness. Today we can point to the 70 weeks fulfillment as either the birth of Jesus or the birth of John the baptism. But when Jesus rebukes the pharisees for not knowing the times, it was Daniel 11 that they were counting down, they knew the messiah was going to show up to within the year. (but of course not the day or the hour)

Wickedness and evil in the hearts of men - particularly the wealthy and political elites that rule us little folks (peasants).
That thousands of millions of dollars are spent on armaments and warfare while most people in the world still do not have clean water and flush toilets, nor health care and doctors, nor adequate housing, nor food, nor schooling.
The wickedness of scheming a war in the Ukraine so as to prevent Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from operating and delivering cheap gas to Germany is beyond moral comprehension.
Such wickedness shows that the lives of human beings (men, women and children) count for nothing - we are totally expendable for the machinations of ruling elites.
Washington has always played their wars in other people's backyards - the Arabs, the Asians, the Africans and so on - these people suffer war and destruction far from the cities and lives of U.S. Americans.
America likes to bomb countries that have no airforce or comparable military armaments and hardware.
And yet if I remember correctly the U.S.A. has not won a war since 1945. [- Iraq ?? Serbia ??]
But this time around Washington is not playing war with some lesser banana republic - now they are up against the second most power nuclear armed nation with a very comparable military might.

I expect Russia to invade around Feb 22 just after the games are over in China. There is no better time for Russia to invade with the President we have now! If we poke our nose in this China will then invade Tiwan and join forces with Russia against us,Euope is why to weak to help,and we will be on our own as usual! I see a long year for us,I hate to say that,but instead of excuses from this sorry President we need RESULTS!! We the people are so mad! For 6 rolls of toilet paper,I had to pay 19:95!! I agree that after the Olympics, if it's going to happen, is when it will. Also, the window of how much longer the ground is frozen over there is only going to last for a couple weeks more
-and Russia wants that for the heavy equipment to move easier.
