what does that mean?
Dear Catholina,
It means that he fears that you might have been here before under another name. He is trying to warn his brethren not to invest so much into someone who is not seeking truth, but rather justification for their own actions/beliefs. To me it makes no never mind whether you are here for the first time or its the 70th time you've been here. For you won't be the first, and probably won't be the last to do so.

An example/side note: I knew a woman who was from Ireland who would periodically join up and express the same concerns/doubts about life, Jesus and religion in general. She would take it all in until she'd explode over something said and get banned. A little time would pass, and she would come back under a different name, but I would know it was her. Each time she would show a little more of herself. Each time showing the wall that circumstances and life in general had built around her belief system. After about 7 or 8 times she stopped coming back. I don't know what happened to her, but I truly hope that she was able to find Jesus, and the peace that she was lacking in her life that keep her coming back here to Talk Jesus.

So, as I said before whether the first time or if you've been here a previous time under another name makes no difference. In truth, we can only help you by giving you what has been given us through Jesus Christ and that will never change. For we know that without Him we who were in the same boat that you are now in, would still be sailing right along with you.

Brother Ploughboy has already provided you a recipe of humanities condition, and the only ingredient that will allow you the avenue of being made whole. Any other way will always leave you yearning for what you cannot have because that is exactly what sin does to one. It provides a brief exhilaration and then an emptiness that is worst then the unrequited yearning one had beforehand.

In Christ Jesus one sees what love really requires of one. Obedience/Sacrifice. The World will tell you self-indulgence and satisfying your every want.

The gift in and of Christ Jesus has been laid before all the World to see. You can receive Him or choose not to. A loving God will not force you to receive Him but allow you the choice of enjoying this temporary condition that you have in the World without Him, or an eternal joy with Him.

You're welcome to take a look at the different bios of our membership, and though not all of them have them, some do, and that is their testimony on receiving Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. For it is only through Him that you will find the peace and a love that transcends and has even overcome, the World.

Be welcomed Catholina.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Not to. Because I love her
The ability to know the difference between right and wrong is built into all humans with their "conscience" as their guide. If we disregard our conscience after a while we come to a place where we can't tell the difference between right and wrong. All people even Christians struggle against sin. The "law of sin" in our flesh is impossible to overcome without Jesus Christ who gives us the "law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes free from the law of sin and death"

No one can repent of their sins if they think they are not a sinner. This is why we have the scriptures to show us what sin is. Sin is the transgression of the laws of God. The Word of God reveals this unto us once we discover the law of God.

The Apostle Paul thought he was not a sinner until the commandments of God exposed the sin in him.

Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

The word "revived" in this verse means ,to "resuscitate" which means "to come back to life."
Sin lays dormant inside people until the Word of God exsposes it for what it and it comes back to life to reveal to them they are a sinner and in need of a saviour. This is why I asked you do you know what the Word of God says about homosexuality.

Rom 1:26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature;
Rom 1:27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Rom 1:28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Only Jesus can break the bondage of sin over a person's life, but they must know they need it and want to be set free.

Thank you. I can understand how you would think that. And I’m not here to start a fight I promise I’m here just because I’m confused. I want to know what to do. I’m only 14 and I need a guide, some direction. I want to know what is right. Of course I value my relationship with God and I’m currently wondering what He wants for me

Dear Catholina,
Just in the above words, comes a myriad of questions.
I'll start slowly and move forward at a snail's pace, because I don't want to overwhelm...my own thought processes. :)

So, with all the questions available, the first being did Jesus Christ come in the flesh?

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

I’m a little confused but I believe so? He was born into the flesh, but didn’t come from the flesh. In all fairness I am new to Christianity so I do not know everything about this which is why I’m asking

Dear Catholina,
Actually, you did quite well in answering. Despite your age of 14, you have shown a deeper understanding in your words then many who are older. :)

The next question might require more of you. Which is can you tell me your come to Jesus experience. I see by your bio. that this is not something you are inclined to do.
However, you should always be ready to tell others your testimony. It's normally the most telling of why you believe the way you believe, and no one can take it away from you, because it's your experience and its unique to you and Jesus!! You never know who you might move to seek Him out because of the telling! It might not even be the person you're telling it to. It could be someone they tell it to, or who happens to overhear it!

I will tell you that being 14 years of age is a difficult time. And when you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior it can be even more so. You're not alone in this. It can even be difficult for those in their 20's, 30's, 40's, etc., There's is almost a sense of fear, a great trepidation about telling another, one's testimony. What will others think of me? They won't like me anymore. It can become so stressful that you might even start showing physical manifestations like, shaking, sweating, shuddering. Our Lord Jesus was so stressed in Gethsemane that He sweated blood!!!

So, you know. It's not just you but also the enemy, the devil, wanting you to stop from sharing your testimony and bringing others to our Jesus. However, that's part of what we are called to do Catholina, when we are in Christ Jesus. For some it's as easy as breathing, but for others it's a strain because we are still concerned with self or of having to do it perfectly instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us in what to say. Truth be told, it's more important to just make yourself available as a vessel to be used then it is to have what we believe are the perfect words to say like we find in Scripture. So, you might be reluctant doing so, but think of it as another step in your walk with the Lord and a way of telling the enemy he's not the boss of you! :)

I look forward to hearing your testimony on how you received our Lord and Savior Jesus!

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Greetings @catholina

Firstly Welcome to Talk Jesus

However, we need to stop beating around the bush with you and candy coating what is gross sin.

The Lord created man and He created woman.

He did not create this moderns worlds views on gender and sexuality
Todays world twists everything.

There is a Saviour - our Lord Jesus Christ - who died to save us from our sins.
He offers His free gift of Salvation to all.
Your testimony then becomes what He has done for you........not how you choose to bend your life around.

Seek the Lord and ask Him to show you the truth
He will.

I am closing this threads and bringing it to the attention of the mod room temporarily
