Are ghosts real and have you seen any?

In Luke 24, v. 36 to 40 Jesus says ghosts do not have bodies. So he assures the disciples that He is not a ghost.
He does not deny ghosts do not exist.

My text says Spirit. Regardless, yes unclean and clean spirits do exist. Have I ever seen one. No. Have I ever heard one? Yes. Have I ever cast one out? Yes.
But even Jesus says in Luke 10:20 do not rejoice about spirits being subject unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

The human eye is only able to perceive approximately 3% of visible light in the universe, therefore; we are extremely limited in what we are allowed to see at the moment.

The spirit realm is VERY real [ 2 Kings 6:17].

Ghosts is a term made up in modern times to try and explain supernatural things.

Bottom line?

ALL "spirits" are in only one of two catagories: Good or Bad.

***

[ P.S. ALL UfO's are nothing more than BAD spirits...(demonic) . . . BTW ]

:) :) :)

YEs I have seen and interacted with "ghosts" before I was born from above and set free from their games of subterfuge and lies.
The New Age movement has much to answer for.

Ghosts are referred to as 'familiar' spirits in the Bible - that is they are supposedly the manifestation of departed humans familiar to the living.
Clairvoyance, sorcery and divination along with seeking the spirits of the dead are strictly forbidden under the Law of God for our protection.

LEVITICUS 20:27
(YLT) 'And a man or woman—when there is in them a familiar spirit, or who are wizards—are certainly put to death; with stones they stone them; their blood is on them.'
(LEB) "'And a man or a woman, if a spirit of the dead or a spirit of divination is in them, they shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones—their blood is on them.'"
(KJV) A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

1Samuel 28:6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams, or by Urim, or by prophets.
7 Then Saul said to his servants, “Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.” And his servants said to him, “Behold, there is a medium at En-dor.”
8 So Saul disguised himself and put on other garments and went, he and two men with him. And they came to the woman by night. And he said, “Divine for me by a spirit and bring up for me whomever I shall name to you.”
9 The woman said to him, “Surely you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the necromancers from the land. Why then are you laying a trap for my life to bring about my death?”

Hebrews 1:1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

2Tim 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

2Peter 1:19 And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,
20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation.
21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy "Ghost" and the Holy "Spirit" are the same person.

Spirits do not have a flesh bone body as we have, but they do have a body. Angels are spirits, and they have a spiritual body. A fallen angel with a spiritual body can live and inhabit a physical person with a flesh, bone, and blood person.

Satan "entered" into Judas and moved him to betray Jesus.

Luke 22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

Jesus has a supernatural spiritual body and yet he lives inside (us) his Church.

2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

I have on a few ocassion encoutered angels which at the time I did not know it until later I realised it was a visitation.

Angels can make thems selves visible to us which is why scripture tells us.....

Heb 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

The ghosts./spirits of dead people do not exist in this plane...When a believer dies he goes to be with the Lord...When a non believer dies he goes to hell...The spirits you may experience on this plane are demonic, or angelic...No more.

When a believer dies he goes to be with the Lord...When a non believer dies he goes to hell...
Totally against scripture.

Ecclesiastes 3:19 For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity.
20 All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return.
21 Who knows whether the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of the beast goes down into the earth?
12:7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Job 3:13 For then I would have lain down and been quiet; I would have slept; then I would have been at rest,
17 There the wicked cease from troubling, and there the weary are at rest.
18 There the prisoners are at ease together; they hear not the voice of the taskmaster.
19 The small and the great are there, and the slave is free from his master.

Psalm 30:9 “What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?

Psalm 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise?

Psalm 17:15 As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness.

Daniel 12:2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

1Corinthians 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

Sorry my friend...I was not talking of the body but the spirit.

Mat 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
Mat 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Mat 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

Where did these people (Moses, Elias) come from to whom Jesus was talking to?

Aww Curtis you know the answer to that one....Moses and Elias were in heaven...

I am not too sure where they came from because Jesus said, "no man has ascended into heaven except he for that came down from Heaven......." Jesus had not at that time ascended to his father because he had not been crucified yet. Maybe Abrahams bosom where all the old testament saints went when they died. Moses for sure died, Elias was caught up in a flaming chariot. What about Enoc who never saw death I wonder where he went?

Some speculate that when Moses was talking to the angel of the Lord on the mountain it was Jesus in his pre-incarnate state in a "moment" of time. Elias also had visions of the Lord so maybe that to was in a "moment" in time which would make the mount of transfiguration where all three were talking the same event at different times but in the same moment of time. Of course, that is all speculation. In any event, Jesus talked to people who had once died physically but were not dead spiritually.

You can believe it or not, what happened there is a portal was opened and Moses and Elias were on one side and Jesus and the disciples were on the other..but neither passed through....Its like you talking to your great grandfather through a doorway.

Are you aware of this scripture?

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

What do you mean by ghosts? Angels and demons, sometimes figuratively referred to as spirits, do exist. If, however, by ghosts you mean dead people, no, they do not exist.

2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2Pe 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

The word "door" means....

G2374
Apparently a primary word (compare “door”); a portal or entrance (the opening or the closure, literally or figuratively): - door, gate. (Strongs Concordance)
