Being Rich Is A Sin

Why do you people try so hard to justify sin.Jesus told the rich man . You cant come and follow me until you have sold all your wealth, and given it to the poor. Then you can come and follow Me. But not until.

[Mat 19:20-22 NKJV] 20 The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?" 21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect,

go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
I am wondering do you live in a home? Do you own a car? Got any money in the bank? If you do then you are sinning! Go "sell" all that you have then come back here and talk about following Jesus.

Already done that once. And before you get into more rediculous logic. My home was a gift from God, the computer I'm on was a gift from God. Everything I have is a gift from God.
Dont you know that perverting the scriptures will not get you into heaven. And the real truth should send you to repentance.

2 Pet 3:9
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Do you repent daily for something?? You know that you can repent 490 times a day and be forgiven.

You do know owning a home is considered "rich" in other parts of the earth even in the USA! So having money and things is NOT a sin! It is the "love" of "money" that is the root of all evil, not money or riches.

I also own a home which I paid "cash" (one payment) for that the Lord God gave me that I did not deserve.
The Lord has given me all things richly to enjoy.

AVOID FOOLISH QUESTIONS
(EVEN IN YOUR OWN MIND)
2 Tim 2:23
23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.
James 1:19
19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
Mark 2:8
8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, "Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?
1 Cor 5:7
7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
Matt 12:36-37
36 "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
37 "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."
Matt 12:34
34 "Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
2 Cor 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
2 Tim 2:14-15
14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Mark 11:27-29
27 Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him.
28 And they said to Him, "By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?"
29 But Jesus answered and said to them, "I also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:
Rom 16:17
17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.
1 Tim 6:20
20 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babble and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge--
Rom 8:6-8
6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Col 2:16-17
16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,
17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
1 Cor 3:19-20
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness";
20 and again, "The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile."
Rom 15:17
17 Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.
2 Pet 1:3-4
3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Gal 5:24-25
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

I see it alot where I travel and talk to people. They dont know what to do with questions in their mind so they just let them out. Well all the power we need in life is in the verses. That is what we use in our own minds to purge out foolish questions. The Holy Spirit is always there with a verse to give us if we ask. And with the verse and the power in it we can purge out of our own minds foolish questions. To many people think that the questions that get people attention are good. And remember this, the devil can raise alot of doubt with questions.

Matt 4:1-7

1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"
5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.' "
7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'"

xxxxTry to remember that the Word doesnt tell us to ask or answer stupid questions only people do. God only asked us to believe what the Word says. And anyone who puts rules on your answer like yes or no is working for the devil. Any kind of rules on how you answer is guile . Even when people try to camouflage a sin like being rich with just having money. There is nothing wrong with having money. But there is if you are rich. simple logic.

[Col 2:16
[16] So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,

Did you know very very few people on this forum read everything you post? It is always best to post less to the point than long drawn-out scriptures.
Case in point the "Rich young ruler was not willing to sell and give to the poor because he "loved" his riches more which is the "root" of all evil.

God only asked us to believe what the Word says
You can not believe in what you do not know. You can not know what you do not understand, and you can not experience what you do not believe.
Mental assent of the word of God means nothing if you do not understand it.

Well lets see. I went through the three years of the milk understanding, and the eleven years of the meat understanding. Then I came to the revelations of Jesus Christ. where in the first seven years I received over 800 revelations from Jesus. That were all personally for me. Then I started receiving revelations to share with others. And now I have received over 3000 revelations from Jesus in the past 30 years. Now what are your credentials

That is what is sad. Mistaking BOLDNESS for pride.
ITS OBVIOUS YOU DONT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE

DISCERNING WHO IS ARROGANT OR BOLD?
John 7:18
18 "He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.

Luke 22:33-34 ARROGANT
33 But he said to Him, "Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death."
34 Then He said, "I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me."

Acts 15:5-7 ARROGANT
5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."
BOLDNESS
6 Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter.
7 And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: "Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.

Acts 7:58-60 ARROGANT
58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
BOLDNESS
59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."
60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Acts 8:1 ARROGANT
1 Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

Acts 8:3-4 ARROGANT
3 As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison.
BOLDNESS
4 Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.
BOLDNESS
John 7:26-27
26 "But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ?
ARROGANT
27 "However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from."

Acts 9:26-27 BOLDNESS
26 And when Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. And he declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

Acts 17:17-23 BOLDNESS
17 Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there.
ARROGANT
18 Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, "What does this babbler want to say?" Others said, "He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods," because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection.
19 And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, "May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak?
20 "For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean."
21 For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.
BOLDNESS
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, "Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious;
23 "for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:

Acts 9:29-30 BOLDNESS
29 And he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus and disputed against the Hellenists, but they attempted to kill him.
30 When the brethren found out, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him out to Tarsus.

Acts 18:24-26 BOLDNESS
24 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John.
26 So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

Rom 15:15-18 BOLDNESS
15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God,
16 that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17 Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.
18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient--

Eph 6:17-20 BOLDNESS
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--
19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Heb 4:16
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Heb 13:5-8
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
6 So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"
7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct.
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

BOLDNESS
[Mat 14:3–4
[3] For Herod had laid hold of John and bound him, and put [him] in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife.
[4] Because John had said to him, "It is not lawful for you to have her."

XXXX To the righteous, it will appear as boldness, but to the unlearned it will appear arrogant. To the carnal mind boldness looks like arrogance. But arrogance is always done with carnal knowledge and emotions. Boldness is always done guided by the verses from the Holy Spirit.

Titus 1:15-16
15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.
16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

Matt 26:33-34
33 Peter answered and said to Him, "Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble."
34 Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."
(NKJ)

Matt 26:75
75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." So he went out and wept bitterly.

Boldness-Bold

3955 parrhesiazomai (par-hray-see-ad'-zom-ahee);

middle voice from 3954; to be frank in utterance, or confident in spirit and demeanor:

KJV-- be (wax) bold, (preach, speak) boldly.

2292 tharrheo (thar-hreh'-o);

another form for 2293; to exercise courage:

KJV-- be bold, X boldly, have confidence, be confident. Compare 5111.

James 4:13-17
13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit";
14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
15 Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."
16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.
17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
(NKJ)

James 5:1-9
1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you!
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.
3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.
4 Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
5 You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
6 You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.
7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.
8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!
(NKJ)

Doesnt anyone on here read the revelations of Jesus Christ. Money does change a persons personality. A ri ch man is suppose to give to those who are in need. Until there is no one in need. And if they done that and give until there was nothing left over. Then they would be rich anymore.

[2Co 8:12-15
12 For if there is first a willing mind, [it is] accepted according to what one has, [and] not according to what he does not have. 13 For [I do] not [mean] that others should be eased and you burdened; 14 but by an equality, [that] now at this time your abundance [may supply] their lack, that their abundance also may [supply] your lack--that there may be equality. 15 As it is written, "He who [gathered] much had nothing left over, and he who [gathered] little had no lack."
No logic to that..Didn't you ever notice that the richest people out there are the ones that give the most?

Why do you people try so hard to justify sin.Jesus told the rich man . You cant come and follow me until you have sold all your wealth, and given it to the poor. Then you can come and follow Me. But not until.

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
The rich young guy was relying on his riches,,,thats the problem...Jesus wanted him, and wants us to rely on Him!! He promised the young fellow riches!!! in return...Or did you discount that completely?

lol How can anyone rely on Jesus if they cant o bey Jesus. Jesus wants the man to be rich in faith not money. If your faith is real you will give up the money to show your faith in Jesus.

[Jas 2:5,6
[5] Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world [to be] rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? [6] But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?

Holy Spirit Only Quotes New Testament
xxx Lets look at these two verses. John 14 says the Holy Spirit will teach us by bringing to remembrance What I Jesus said to YOU. Said not maybe said, not almost said. When we read the new testament Jesus is speaking to us. When we remember a verse from the new testament that is the Holy Spirit teaching us.

[Jhn 14:26 NKJV] 26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

xxx John 16 is point blank the Holy Spirit is NOT ALLOWED to speak on His own authority, He can Only take from what Jesus has. Which is the new testament.

[Jhn 16:13-14 NKJV] 13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own [authority], but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare [it] to you.

Who wrote the old testament?

God made the old testament obsolete. And He tells us that if we dont abide in the new testament doctrine of Christ WE DONT HAVE THE RIGHT GOD OR THE RIGHT JESUS.

[Heb 8:13
[13] In that He says, "A new [covenant]," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

[Heb 7:12, 18
[12] For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. ...
[18] For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness,

[2Jo 1:7–11
[7] For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ [as] coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
[8] Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but [that] we may receive a full reward.
[9] Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
[10] If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;
[11] for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

The old testament is no good for a Christian.

[Jhn 10:1, 7–8
[1] "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. ...
[7] Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
[8] "All who [ever] came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.

[Heb 8:13
[13] In that He says, "A new [covenant]," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

[Heb 7:12, 18
[12] For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. ...
