Noahs flood

Why do you believe it?

Because of what is written in Genesis.

Genesis 7:6-- "And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth."

Genesis 7:17 -- 18 "And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters "

And because of the global flood the death of the animals and people were not just regional but global,
upon the whole earth

Gensis 7:21 -- " And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: "

Paul also speaks of this in the New Testament,

2 Peter Chapter 2:5 -- " And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly"

Notice in 2nd Peter Paul is speaking about only 8 people being spared in the old world.

Only 8 in the whole world because it was a global flood, thus everyone not in the Ark died.

There was an eye witness to the events in the Nt--Jesus saw it occur and mentioned it-He compared these last days to Noahs day( over 99%mislead) He said-- Matthew 24:36-39) Concerning that day and hour nobody knows neither the angels of the heavens nor the son but only the Father-37- For just as in the days of Noah so the presence of the son of man will be. 38-or as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark . 39-and they took no note( wouldnt believe)until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the son of man will be.

Yes that is sad, and when Jesus compared the last days to Noahs day. The numbers wont be much different. I have read the bible many x-I find 99% mislead at every given moment after the events of Eden occurred. The only exception may have been when Israel stood strong. They fell over and over.

Talk with me,

I find it quite fascinating. I'm serious. I'm really really serious.

I find it is so fascinating that only 8 people in the whole world were saved. I mean wow, really think about that.
Only 8 people (alive at the time --others had lived and died) in the whole entire world were saved.

WOW. How fascinating that is.

You say, you don't think it will be much different, seriously?

So it is so hard to predict what the population was in Noah's day, very hard. But some say around 700 million
on the very low estimate. Now, remember, back then people lived much longer 800 years, so imagine the amount of children
they could have in their life time, a great number indeed.

I'm just captivated that only 8, were saved, oooh my. Still hard to believe. Not in the sense of unbelief, I believe it, but
just in the fact of wow, how sad is that , that only 8 people in the whole world.

I think we have way more than 8 people getting saved. If we say only 1% of the world's population (7 billion)
will be saved, 1% is 78 million 78,000,000 people.

Wow, just 8 people. WOW.

Yes that is very sad that only 8 people lived to do Gods will. The flesh is very strong. As is satan is very cunning. He made Solomon fall and God said at that point Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived. David Gods spiritual king fell as well, but repented and stood back up. One must be very careful and make sure of all things. All that Peter saw Jesus do, he denied knowing Jesus out of fear of men, but he stood back up.
In that account of Noah, it says Angels came down and were having sex( immoral) with the daughters of men. They made babies called Nephlim-Giants very violent. As another part spoke of the violence as well. It says mens thoughts were wicked all the time. So God hates-violence, immoral sex.
Hollywood shoves both of those as well as the occult down everyones throat from their youth on up so its just normal to most, the things that God hates.
In the story of Job, satan controlled the weather and killed Jobs children doing that.
I believe the star of David was actually put there by satan. It lead the 3 Magi to Herod who wanted Jesus killed. Once they found Jesus by that star were supposed to go back and report to Herod so he could send someone to kill Jesus. An angel told them not to go back to him. Herod sent his troops 2 years after Jesus birth and told them kill every male 2 and under and they did. But Joseph, Mary and Jesus were warned and left.

Satan wants to take all he can with him.
In the account of Jesus in the wilderness( at Jesus weakest point) satan tempted him, he asked for an act of worship. He wanted Jesus to sin and fail his mission. So sin = worship to satan.

I have read the bible many x--Seems 99% mislead at every given moment after therebellion in Eden. The only possible time it wasnt that number was possibly when Israel stood strong, yet they kept on falling over and over..

This is how intelligent mortals are in comparison to satan- God through Moses caused 10 plagues on egypt. Then parted the red sea in front of their eyes and let them escape from being killed. 1 week later made a golden calf to worship. No wonder the bible warns-- Beware if you think you are standing strong. This is why-The mortal heart-Jeremiah 17:9-- The heart is desperate and treacherous who can know it.

Hello @Keithw,

I believe you are perhaps ascribing more power to Satan than he actually possesses. For the opening chapter of Job shows that he can only do what God allows: God allows Satan to' test' mankind, yes: but James says in chapter 1:13-14, 'Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of is own lust, and enticed.' So I believe that we ascribe much to Satan which should be attributed to the deceitful lusts which war against our soul (Ephesians 4:22), and the deceitfulness of our own hearts.

Also, with respect, I do not believe you are correct in your assumption regarding the star. For the star that would come out of Jacob was prophesied in Numbers 24:17. Stars were to be used as 'signs' (Genesis 1:14).

'The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth His handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech,
and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language,
where their voice is not heard.'
(Psa 19:1-3)

Thank you
