This train you have started will never reach it's destination, but is doomed to go on for ever it seems. For this is one subject where the two trains of thought are going along in parallel lines. Yet both sides find verses to back up their arguments, for there are elements of truth in both. For God does have foreknowledge, and thereby is able to pre-destinate. For what? We know that He has predestinated the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ to be conformed to the image of His Son. Yes?

However the works of creation show forth God's power and Godhead, and their message has been visible for all to see. Similarly the gospel of the grace of God is preached to all men. There are those who see and hear both and respond with faith by receiving their message gladly and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord, but others do not see or hear, or respond with faith, but that does not mean that opportunity has not been afforded them.

So, yes Christ died for all men, but not all will receive Him.
