The fulness of his loving grace or a unknown remnant?.

" Works " is all about Christ working in us with us to both reveal and empower us . . not through us rather than through Him alone .He is not served by the hands of corrupted flesh and blood as if he needed something from the clay he forms Christ in

We work out freeing that given from the beginning of faith His grace working in us.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

In that way the Bible says their must be differences in opinions or heresies among us that walk by faith after the eternal not seen not by what the eyes see the temporal below..

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

If you would follow the idea of serving a hierarchy of men (law of the fathers) then you must continue to wonder with no end of faith, the salvation of your soul . Wondering does not build confidence it simply produces more wondering. Which leads to doubt.

Catholiscim teaches that only this Queen of heaven which they have named Mary alone received the fullness of Christ grace the cost of salvation and others a unknown unknowable remnant of grace .And even after they take their last breath they must continue to wonder in a place of wonderment (purgatory) the limbo..

In that way there must be differences among us so that we do not deny the fullness of grace the light of the gospel

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
I will remain here until my time is finished. It is the Lord who sent me, and it will be to the Lord i will return.

As for heresies, not only are they found in churches, but are found in individuals

The key to walking with God is simply this, " to love one another as i have loved you " . Follow this, and God will always be with you

Heresies are simply our opinions , the same word as sect or denomination called private interpretations as personal commentaries of what each person thinks God is conveying. I would liken it to fingerprints or foot prints of two hopefully walking together in agreement to one God the father of all nations or families of the whole world .

The smallest sect , tribe or family consists of two or three that do gather together under the hearing of Christ's faith or labor of his love that does work in those who do trust his understanding.

I would like to throw this thought into the ring for heresies.

In our lifetimes we will encounter Christians who are lead by the Spirit to start a group who work with , lets say , just the homeless.

Now this is a great task and is much needed. But not all are called to it. However, i have personally met a preacher who states, God drew him out of his old church. Then states that because his old church would not commit 100 % to where the Spirit lead him. Then his old church is from the devil.

This is exactly how a heresy starts, when man starts to think for God. When any person tries to plan out how they think God should opperate.

The man who started the group working for the homeless, failed to recognize God was working in his old church too.

This is why , when we see others , not of our church, yet being for Jesus. That we need to step back and let God do His work.

As Jesus says, " if they are not against us, then they are for us".

Thanks I thought of the Nicolaitans in Revelation 2 having lost there "first love "( believing God as he works in us to make it possible to please him). Some were following the preacher Nicole seen.

A parable of the Holy Spirit calling them back to do the first works of Christ that worked in them "believe him" not seen the eternal one. John 6 declares it is the work of God that we do believe as it is written

Luke 9 provides a good commentary as a parable on who are the us that others, not of us, went out from .

Bill, I wish it were that simple but we must love the LORD, YHWH, with all our heart, soul and, mind and nothing can ever come before our Triune God. And to do that is to learn who He is and all of His ways. For that we must study to learn all of the scripture, an impossible taskbut, one that every lover of YHWH, Yashua and Ruah has undertaken.

That is ok , few here do .

Even if you did have Descernment , the only way you would know is, it would have to be revealed to you.

So please, i love it when you go on about what i dont know. Lol

Is there a reason for using YHWH, Yashua and Ruah? . It can only produce questions at to the kind of interpretation goal .

Does it mean you love him more ?

Does YHWH, translate as Yashua and Ruah? What is Yashua and Ruah. ? One of the many names as attributes?

God do does not have a personal name as us needed to identify each other , He has no competition with the gods of this world .

Every name points to an attribute.

I believe that when Moses asked God in whose name should I say sent me....God was not born that his parents would give Him a name, so He had no name. So he tells Moses, I am who I am, tell them that. So the jews called Him that, because it helped unify them. But God has no name, He just is who He is.
When His people argue over the name, God is not pleased.

The thread title is, "What if you die tonight?"

If one has been saved from his sin, and has been water baptized into Christ, the living New Covenant of God (as Scripture straightly teaches), and is cultivating a personal relationship with God through personal prayer and worship, and is walking in obedience to God...then if he dies tonight he will open his eyes in heaven.

But if he got saved in the past, but has not received water baptism into Christ, then he may open his eyes in hell.

But if he got saved in the past, and received baptism into Christ, but failed to engage God in personal relationship...then Christ will tell him, "I never knew you," and he will still end up in eternal fire when he opens his eyes after dying.

And, then of course, if a person has never been saved, then if he dies tonight he will open his eyes in eternal fire.

This is pretty much straight forward, and what Scripture teaches when it is taken as a whole.

Blessings.

There are those who accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior but can't be baptized. In other words baptism is not necessary for salvation. It simply shows other people the belief that has already taken place in their heart.

Your understanding of Scripture is flawed. When we take Scripture as a whole, and study the requirements for getting saved topically like we are supposed to do, water baptism is an integral part of the deal. Those who CANNOT receive baptism, like the thief on the cross, God understands and does not hold that fact against them - if He did, then He would not be just.

According to Scripture, water baptism is God's ordained ceremonial rite of entrance into Christ, the living new covenant. If you don't receive water baptism into Christ, then your 'salvation' is in name only, not fact. Even a man who might get saved out in the desert, who has no water to receive baptism - God will accept him; but when he comes to a body of water large enough to get baptized, if he declines, then his standing with God becomes questioned.

It is the same with you...if you were not taught the Truth about baptism, but got saved years ago...and then hear that it is mandatory but because of flawed biased belief in false teachings, and refuse to get baptized into Christ...then according to Scripture you have refused the truth on the subject and your 'salvation' slips through your fingers.

This is why false doctrine and false teaching are hated by God and the Truth.

Blessings

How do you explain salvation for those who were never baptized.

Remember Gods word is eternal
