Why are there so many 'Special needed and illiterate" students or people that dwells in so many years in the elementries of The Bible.

"Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment."

It has become worst, that a lot of people down right refused to leave "The Elementary doctrine of Christ". And they outright refuse to go on to Maturity, in such a case they do not even know what "Maturity in Christ" is. They have no understanding what the term even means. But have adopted the worlds view of Adoption into "Maturity". And they love the Garments of this world and place the name tags in their collars "Design by Jesus". And the only thing is different is the name on the collar. And there is no difference in The Garments. For you cannot tell the difference between the Two! Those of the world and the christians both look the same. Then we have the "sons of GOD"! And God will separate the "Wheat from the tare".

Everyone of us is to be growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. No one will 'attain' until we are with Jesus Christ.

What does 'maturity' look like? How much do people take time to get to know other people.

There are those who say 'turn off the TV and read more Bible instead'. Well -- to some extent -- but we Do need to know what's going on in this world.

And how do 'we' interact with others -- are 'we' a Bible-thumper?

We live in This world -- but we're not supposed to Look like this world.

Is our life attracting others To Jesus Christ or de-tracting from Him.

And your post sounds a bit judgemental.

The passage you're sharing is Hebrews 6:1-3 and that can go back to 5:12.

There Are those on Forum who feel that when another person on here digs 'deep enough' that others will agree with them.

Each person matures at a different pace. Just like growing up physically. Those of us who have children -- growth spurts and then staying the same height or weight for some time. Same with spiritual growth -- depends on where the person came From in their lives. Some grow up in church and know Bible a lot. Others have never been in church and everything in between.

Lots to think about. But instead of 'why don't people just Grow Up' -- be an encourager. Up-lifting Scripture.

I do not see what you are talking about has anything to do with the "Thread title or post " 1. Sorry you have lost me completely. You need not to response. For I am talking about something that seems to way over your head. Sorry.:pensive: I have no idea how your response is addressing the discussion I am alluding to.

Have a nice evening.

@PloughBoy -- at times you're not very clear as to what you Are talking about. What discussion Are you 'alluding' to?!

You were talking about people's growing in maturity in Christ.

John talks about different levels of maturity.

1Jn 2:12; I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name's sake.
1Jn 2:13; I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father.
1Jn 2:14; I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

But maturity as a Christian isn't only knowledge. We can know the Bible, but still not be mature. (indeed many atheists know the Bible, Satan knows the Bible)
We need to be mature in love as well.

Some of us (yes, I'm preaching to myself here) like to impress people with our knowledge. But I wonder how many of us impress people with our heart?
Our love and compassion.

Now we are supposed to grow in knowledge of scripture, but what is the priority?
Did Jesus say I command you to know the entire Bible, or I command you to love one another.
Did Jesus say people will know you are Christians by how smart you are, or did He say they will know you are Christians by your love.

Paul says one day knowledge as we know it will pass away (along with tongues and prophecy).
But he said these 3 will remain (even after the other stuff passes away) faith, hope and love...
It's interesting knowledge passes away, but love doesn't. ..and the greatest of these.. is Love.

Everybody has not the "ability" to grown in Christ . No matter how hard they try. And there are other reason for not growing in christ as if it is a phsical task by phsical means. But a hidden mystery. That is only granted to a few. And for many it is a waste of time to be in hot pursuit and to others it is a great reward.

Nonsense. Everybody who belongs to Christ walks in the Spirit and will grow in maturity.

Well, I agree they all have the ability. But not all "choose" to grow,

Luke 13:6; And He began telling this parable: "A man had a fig tree which had been planted in his vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and did not find any.
Luke 13:7; "And he said to the vineyard-keeper, 'Behold, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without finding any. Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground?'
Luke 13:8; "And he answered and said to him, 'Let it alone, sir, for this year too, until I dig around it and put in fertilizer;
Luke 13:9; and if it bears fruit next year, fine; but if not, cut it down.'"

Luke 8:14; "The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

Even with Jesus watering and fertilizing them, some trees refuse to bear fruit. Some trees start to bear fruit, but they don't continue in Jesus long enough to bring it to maturity.

Col 1:9; For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
Jas 1:5; But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Do you have any scripture that says God with-holds spiritual maturity from some Christians?

Heb 5:11; Concerning him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
Heb 5:12; For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
Heb 5:13; For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.
Heb 5:14; But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

Matthew 13:44-46
"Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it,he hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls.…
"When he found one very precious pearl, he went away and sold all he had and bought it.":grinning:

"And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to babes in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?"

We as children never complains about the "milk" that Our Father, lets flows from Heaven, although it may seems as if it is liken the Manna that appeared in The Wilderness that fell from Heaven, Or the "quail" that , place they called: "Kibroth-hattaavah".

And the "Spiritual Special needed children and the most illiterate" Child of GOD, Never Complains, about the milk that flows from Heavens Throne. And GOD would never give them the food the will "Choke Them to Death" and run out of their nose.

"When you are a good parent, know how to give good gifts unto your children!"

You are implying you have this 'hidden mystery' granted to only a few.
Mat 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Seems to me the Scriptures are written in a fashion that allows for our (us humans) different levels of understanding . Understandings in the body soul and spirit of our God created beings. We are not exactly the same even though we have the same Father.. The examples around us are ,our children or siblings. examples: My sister sees, reads, understands through the eyes of grammar school teacher, brother 1 sees with artistic eyes, brother 2 logical black and white , borther3 the eyes of a physician. me i see mostly mechanical. One way of understanding is not better or lesser then the other just different as God created us.

So sad, who would give a babe, strong meat or meat at all, who has no teeth or know how to chew. And teaching them things, they ought not too.

"About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing. For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food. For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil."

"For there are many rebellious people, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of dishonest gain. One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” This testimony is true. For this reason reprimand them severely so that they may be sound in the faith, not paying attention to Jewish myths and commandments of men who turn away from the truth."

Maturity is hard work and it takes time, years, laboring in the fields of righteousness and discipline and in Christ, you have deny yourself and forsaken all.

Laboring in The Word , in prayers, and "walking in the Spirit" night and day for years, and been broken and crush under the mighty hand of GOD, And "Sanctification and Holiness" has become a way of life! And not just because you have gotten old in age. You started this walk when you where young and had strength. Because you needed to be strong, to endure the Fight, so you was able to keep getting back up, when they knock you down. And you gain experiences of the mercies of GOD. When they knock you down, drag you down the street and called you all kinds of evil, slandering, gossiping, calling you every name but a Child of GOD, even in the name of Christianity. And when you would stood for the truth in GOD, they turn their backs on you, But you kept The Faith in "Christ" when you had to stand alone, Then God sent you "Athanasius", and bought to mind, "Sola Christos" and "The Apostle Paul" when you have to stand alone, even when It Seems, even GOD Himself, had become your enemy.

"The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."

Speaking concerning those who belongs to GOD and they have been adopted. grafted in, the family of GOD, Not by words or by deed, but "Born into", Sanctified, elected, chosen, not their will, but His Will, Before time itself exited, even heaven, Angels, water or space even the very air that we breath. GOD chose us. Whether we are, spiritually weak or spiritual illiterate strong, we have been Sealed by The Spirit of "The Living GOD". Or Suffering from ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder or any other "Psychosis" or "Mental illness".

This is a cursed World, with cursed bodies, roaming in it. and everything here is Contaminated by the Curse of GOD! And cannot be fix. Everything is decaying and passing away. Organs are failing every day. "Pharmaceuticals" has become the new "Gold Mines" , The Cosmetics of a brand new day. That is no different than the Motif of a colorful "BandAId" that appeared in the 20th century.

Shalom, My Brothers and sisters in "Christ Jesus" our Savior and our LORD. Everything has to be and will be made, "Brand New". No repairs no updates, "Brand New:.

@Hekuran sad nothing about giving a babe 'strong meat' he said 'will grow in maturity' he also did not imply the level of maturity to be the same for everyone.

OK, some people refuse to mature. I'm with you so far.

But then you go on to say, even if they wanted to, they can't. (No scriptures in the second post)

I'm not sure how this is meant, but it comes across as.. I've got something and you don't.
God gave me some candy, and He's not going to give you any, so don't even bother to ask.

It almost seems the purpose of this thread is to tell some people they are dummies, and there is no hope for them.
I'm probably wrong, and to tell the truth, I hope I am... but could you explain what you are trying to get at here?

Now that is the difference between "meat and milk". One should be content with the one he or she can digest. Because both can produce fat on your bones. The problem arises when one does not have the teeth to chew meat, although he likes the smell but fell to realize you cannot gum meat properly enough to be able to digest it as it should be. It just might strangle you and no one is there to do a "Heimlich Maneuver" on you. I do see some are choking already:eyes:

So if you can breath a little or speak, "Cough"! and next time, when the "quail" fall, chew your meat , nice and slowly.:eyes:

Shalom, you have just been serve.
