This was a topic about the way to heaven basically, some were catholics, some were all for prosperity theology, some were even into new age practices. I tried to tell them none of that manmade theology will get them on the right path, only the gospel of Jesus Christ and the holy spirit will. They didnt want to hear that.
The group you are referring to has cast off "the Gospel of Jesus Christ" through out "denominations" and do not know what the "Gospel of Jesus Christ" is. But has accepted
"Moralistic Therapeutic Deism" taught by those who are "Nominal Christians" and some Christians who do not know what The Gospel of Jesus Christ is. So the
"Gospel of Moralistic Therapeutic Deism" is now taught as the way to "Salvation". This is not new, man made theology! Through out biblical history this has been going on, remember "Christianity was the new kid on the block" Now people are regressing back to the old practices that once been, that even the Apostles battle, The church fathers even battle. But under different names: Now maybe we have reach that point "The "great falling away"
of "the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints." "Idol worship is so "High" and most chrisians do not know what idol worshipping is. Because they were never taught to recognize "modern day Idolatry" that comes in all kind of forms. by not really reading the whole Bible, counsel of GOD! That He might reveal it in "Jesus Christ" our Lord by The "Holy Spirit" relating it and illuminating it in the written Word. Now Things of "witchcraft", Greek Gods and Goddesses, Warlocks, and Readers', are so called ,base upon "Christian Principles" and accepted members are members of a lot of local churches! And those people are label honor church members. I know thousands of Churches, that has accepted these groups. And they Believe that "Moralistic Therapeutic Deism" is the teaching of "Jesus Christ"! For God is LOVE, For He loves the whole World, and there is no bad in Him. and Jesus died for everybody and just believe in Good works. and He is not the only way, Just be good!
Now they will not except this label: but by their actions and beliefs they fall into this category. and laid it down as "Christian Principles". therefore, the road to salvation.
Finally, Doctrine used to be a problem, There is a New Kid on the Block! "Moralistic Therapeutic Deism" The battle is not "Doctrine' anymore, we have grown way beyond that, [that battle is like the Ancient "Revolutionary WAR", We have enter into "Drone, Internet, and Artificial Intelligence" Airspace" Man by "The Millennials" and "Generation Z" for they are the product that we have created. "train up a child in a way they should go' and they will not depart"! For we have put The Kool-Aid in their punch! And most of us, has a beam in our own eyes and trying to take the speck out of another"!

"Let The Word of GOD dwell in you Richly" for there is no hiding place and if we try to hide from it in this life, it will find us in death, it will sure catch up with us even in Hell. It will sure come to pass. If you believe in GOD believe this too, He will raise you from the grave, just to condemn you to Hell and cast you into "The Lake that burns with a unquenchable Fire" For The Bible says: our "GOD is A Consuming Fire"!
