What is the gospel

Let me capsulate my understanding and then make an analogy. In truth, once we sin (and all will sin) OUR sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2). He does not separate from us because we sinned, we cause ourselves to be separated because sin cannot dwell in His presence. So because ALL have sinned we are all ALREADY on our way to our self inflicted condemnation (which God takes no pleasure in). Thus we are all going to the eternal death in Hell.

Now God in His love and mercy has kept the sure word of His promise (Genesis 3:15) and sent us the Redeemer to buy us back. Jesus is thus the solution not the problem. The Gospel is NOT accept Jesus or be sent to Hell, it is YOU ARE GOING TO HELL accept the provision of escape. That there is now such a provision IS the good news.

Now for the analogy. Imagine if you will you are on top of a skyscraper and though your loving parent has told you "Thou shalt not step off the skyscraper for in the day you do, you shalt surely Ssspppllaaatttt!" but our self willed self lording brain says I can do it...I will not surely sssppplaaattt! He just does not want me to be a lord like Him. So then you step off...and are now plummeting to your Sssppalllattt! Suddenly realizing "Uh oh...splat is coming for sure" but you hear a loud call "I have a net that can catch anybody - do you want me to use it for you?" If you reject the only net that saves then Ssspppllaaat! If you accept the net you are saved are given a new life. Jesus is the net...cherish your new life...Amen

Presently, God is dealing with one Group at a time. He will deal with Gentiles until the fullness. Meanwhile Most Jews are unable to see Jesus as the Savior.

Romans 11:25 New King James Version ...
25
For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own [a]opinion,
that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Luke 21:24 New King James Version ...
24
And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And
Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

1. What is the statement of faith?

2. When did the Christianity begin?

3. If there were 12 apostles why was Paul chosen?

If the Bible isn't your statement of faith, you are some distracted denomination.
Christianity began when the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world.
Judas died. Paul was an Apostle. I don't understand the question.

The 12 apostles who followed Jesus, they preached the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Paul was designated the apostle to the Gentiles preaching a different gospel.

Interesting! I think in the accounts called the four gospels we hear of the what, and Paul's letters helped clarify the how but I do not see them as "different". They are all about reconciliation with God through the work of Jesus Christ.

Read the last sentence of the last chapter of the book of acts to see whether the gospel Paul preached concerned the kingdom of God.

Galatians 2:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter

Galatians 2:7 New King James Version (NKJV)

Lol... and you have some (intelligent) point to make?

If you're embarrassed to tell us what you're talking about, that's okay.

We figured out you got nothing.

What is the gospel?

the word gospel in the greek means "good news". The definition of what the good news is, is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

What is the statement of faith?
All things found in scripture that we need to obey and adhere to.

When did the Christianity begin?
Acts 2, to the Jew first. Acts 10, to the gentile (the rest of the world)

If there were 12 apostles why was Paul chosen?
Because God picked him
1 Timothy 1
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour

And

Acts 9
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel

Galatians 2:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter

Thou dost surely mis-understandeth the grammar my brother....same gospel, but Paul was appointed to it to gentiles and Peter to the Jewish people....

The point is Peter, although he is in the Body of Christ, He is unable to accept the Gospel of Grace taught by Paul.

Peter approved of Paul's teaching here. 2 Peter 3 13-15

It's true that Paul and Peter argued and that Paul prevailed. It's difficult to imagine that one of the 12 Apostles did not belong to Jesus or misunderstood the gospel.

The first churches were a mix of Jews and Gentile, and many of the New Testament letters deal primarily with working out unity in Christ in a culturally mixed economy. All the New Testament writers are adamant that the body of Christ is unified by one gospel.

Ephesians 4:13
until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

Galatians 2:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter

Galatians 2:7 I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised.

Galatians 2:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16.

The 12 apostles would judge the 12 tribes of Israel when The Lord sits on the Throne
