I am not a christian.Nor do i believe in any god, faith or religion.I only believe in myself.I have tried tirelessly my whole life to convince myself that such things exist to no avail. With every question i posed, there was never a realistic answer, but only more questions.I tend to look at life realistically, not spiritually/unrealistically.It seems as god is only based on faith/belief..not proof (as there isn't any).I do not see the bible as proof as it was written by man and the words in it continuously changed by man.
I have come to a conclusion with only one question.(No,it's not the infamous (where did god come from,or who is he?)..But instead "How do you get something from nothing"? God could not have created himself from nothing as "Nothing" is absolute and it's impossible in mine eyes. You could say "He always was",but again, something has to start somewhere.
This is the battle i struggle with everyday of my life. They say just believe and have faith.Well it's not that easy for me.Does that make me a bad person? no.
I am not here to start a war,but i am here to listen and learn.Im not going to ask a thousand questions and contradict your answers.
And that's it.Any questions/comments? feel free to ask/comment..Thankyou

Welcome to Talk Jesus @XxSavedByGracexX

If you are convinced that God does not exist.....I wonder why you are here posting on a forum that is about Jesus. Is that because you are doubting your own beliefs?

Please remember that you have joined a Christian Forum when posting....questions are welcomed but arguments against our faith are pointless and will not be tolerated.

Canst thou by searching find out God?
Job 11:7

But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find Him, if thou seek Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul
Deuteronomy 4:29

Hi @XxSavedByGracexX

Welcome to the forums.

You could say "He always was",but again, something has to start somewhere.

Except God. He does not have to "start somewhere". You're looking at this from human understanding instead of faith or beyond just human logic. I can assure you God is real, 100%. He came to me, I was not looking for Him and He left no room for me to doubt His being, reality and His authentic Bible. I don't say this to persuade you or win some argument nor from religious pride. I'm saying because it's the reality. It's facts. It's truth and nothing is greater than knowing the truth. God is Truth.

Maybe my personal testimony I posted years ago might inspire you.

This is really neat too: Father's Love Letter

Of course i doubt my own beliefs. Why? Because i WANT to be wrong.I want to believe that there is something more to this life. That's why im posting in this forum. As i said in my previous post,im not here to start a war or argue, i'm merely here to listen and learn. Isn't that what this forum is for? Or maybe i have misinterpreted the meaning behind these forums? It seems as you have already labeled me because i am a non believer and undoubtedly thought i was going to argue against your faith. My apologies if you have interpreted my post in such a way. I will recuse myself from this forum.Thankyou

The purpose of this forum is exactly why you're here. You're welcomed to ask all the questions.

Matthew 28:16-20

Isn't the question of why there is is something rather than nothing even more perplexing if there's nothing beyond the physical realm?

I've an undergraduate degree in philosophy, and I know that these kinds of questions can lead you only so far...

My suggestion would be to take a careful look a Jesus, his actions and his claims. What kind of person was he?

The four gospels are portraits of Jesus and were all written within living memory of Jesus, so they0 been fabricated without it being called out.

I'd be interested to know what you think.

Greetings,

don't be too quick to react my friend... or at least, react in peace.

Speaking of peace, that alone is too marvelous to grasp outside of faith. Not talking about peace between otherwise warring situations on the physical plane.
The peace of God which passes all understanding.

Being an ex all-sorts and a wildman at that and coming to the knowledge of God through Christ opened my eyes to this peace i talk about.

So someone says something a little confronting. Happens all the time. Not much different, though, from having difficult thoughts and concepts that leave us a little unsettled and even steal our present place of security and peace. Do we run from them? Or even simply withdraw?

If you want to talk about nothing, go for it but like Hekuran aluded to, we're here to talk about something and i think you are to.

Post in Peace and may you come to know the Lord Who is the Prince of Peace and see that He is good.

Bless you ....><>
