I blasphemed the Holy Spirit! I’m doomed and going to hell. Can one repent from this sin? Is this sin not easy to do?

Member
One time I couldn’t resist my thoughts and I gave in to them, on purpose. I’m doomed but I want hope. A voice has told me that I just don’t want to accept that there’s no hope. I’ve called the Holy Spirit names in my head and I don’t look forward to eternity. I need someone to talk to. I’m doomed and there’s nothing I can do about it. I want to be alive but don’t know why I still am. I wish this sin could be forgiven. :crying:

I just know that I’ll go to hell after I die for sure because of what I did. God hasn’t spoken to me directly anymore. I don’t even feel the Holy Spirit with me. I want to feel emotions when it comes to this sin but I don’t. I didn’t think my life would turn out this way. I don’t know what to do. I want conviction. I’ve tried repenting and I just give in to the blasphemous thoughts again.

So this is what happened:
One time I gave in to the thoughts on purpose. I cried and didn’t know what to do with my life. I thought I was doomed.
That day I was going to school. The driver was a Christian and I told him what I did wrong. He said “your going to ask the Lord for forgiveness”. I said “what? That can’t be forgiven!” I didn’t feel that I should ask for forgiveness since I thought I was doomed and that God wouldn’t accept me.
So the next day, I go to church and I get prayed over. I hug the man praying for me and I beg the Lord for forgiveness. Then, God spoke to him, and said “I will have mercy”.
On my way to school, after I talk to the man I thought, “next time I do this, I can just ask for forgiveness”. I made a huge mistake in thinking that!
I then began (days after church) thinking things against the Holy Spirit. I thought all kinds of insults. But I only thought they when he enemy had put thoughts like that in my head: I’d repeat them. I don’t know what to do with my life.

Then after giving in for a short while, I was taken to a psych hospital and a staff member took me to the court of heaven. He prayed and later I found out that I wasn’t guilty of this sin. Like, God told him I wasn’t guilty. I didn’t know how but I didn’t say anything.

So now I’m here, continuing in these thoughts and thinking them on purpose, because it’s a habit.
Please, no one tell me that the unpardonable sin is unbelief or that there is no unforgivable sin. The Bible is clear on what it is in Matthew 12:32, and Mark 3:28-30

I also hear this sin is not easy to commit. Is that true? Also. If it is, how is it difficult? What makes it hard to do?

Make it a habit to think on purpose that the Holy Spirit is wonderful. Whenever the devil gives you a blasphemous thought, just say the opposite. Go praise God.

To do that sin you must be arrogant and hard hearted and self righteous. The pharisees really believed they were good and really believed what they said about the Holy Spirit. They rejected Jesus as the Messiah, although they saw Him doing miracles. I saw a Jewish rabbi who couldn't believe they were so evil. He said: okay suppose they were wrong and then they saw that He got raised from the dead. They would have repented. Oh noooo! We were wrong! That's what the priests did. But they didn't. They covered it up and lied that He didn't raise from the dead.
It's not the same as having a demon influence you to say stuff. I think that is fear. Fear that God doesn't love you and you aren't His child. If you have repented for your sins and asked Jesus to forgive you and come in your heart, you are His child. You just need counselling and prayer and ppl teach you how to praise God and walk in freedom. The pharisees were not even sorry. They hated God.

These verses will set you free in Jesus Name.

John 6:37 (KJV)
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means
cast out.

Revelation 22:17 (KJV)
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Jesus will not reject you if you come to Him. That is a promise.

So one can be forgiven for speaking against the Holy Spirit if they’re under demonic influence?
I think I was under that, but I don’t know.
What is demonic influence by definition? How does one know if they’re under that?

Yes you can be forgiven anyway, cause you don't hate God. Then you wouldn't even worry or ask. The devil plays that trick a lot with people who just got saved, cause you don't know yet who you are in Christ. Noone in their right mind is gonna blaspheme the Holy Spirit, so that is already a sign that the devil gives those thoughts. Why on earth would one say these things about the Holy Spirit? I don't believe you are an evil pharisee who would have killed Jesus and then cover it up, so don't worry. I did the same thing when I was just saved and God said: I am not impressionable to lies and accusations that the devil brings in against My beloved.

I have seen many many many times where someone post it on a Christian forum and even several churches we're someone confessed that they blasphemed the Holy Ghost.

And every single time there will always be someone who will try to convince them even though they confessed it...that they did not blaspheme the Holy Ghost.

This is an observation I have made over a period of time.

Is there anywhere in the Bible where it says they believed what they said against the Holy Spirit?

I did the same as you did, because I was just saved and hadn't had help or deliverance prayer or anything. It means that the devil can lie to God that you did the unforgivable sin and accuse you that you blasphemed, but He doesn't care. You're His beloved. If you asked forgiveness, the sin is gone.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The pharisees did not ask for forgiveness.

Can one repent of that sin? All I know is that it’s unforgivable. I hear this sin is difficult to do: like, it’s not easy to commit the unpardonable sin l, but I don’t know why. I hear that it’s more than speaking words against the Holy Spirit. Is that true?

It's in the talmud.

Marc 3
Here, they see Him doing a miracle, they wait for Him to do it, so they can accuse and kill him:

And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. 2 So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might [a]accuse Him. 3 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, [b]“Step forward.” 4 Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. 5 And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored [c]as whole as the other. 6 Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.”
23 So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27 No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.

You even went somewhere for deliverance prayer, so you don't believe it. It's nonsense to compare you with these people.

Yes. The ones who do that sin are not sorry or bothered at all. They think they are right.
And they were not christians. A christian can't do that sin.

What are you saying “yes” to?
Yes you can repent of your sins. Yes the unforgivable sin is more than saying something bad about the Holy Spirit.
If the speaking of those words was the unforgivable sin, then everyone who reads out loud what the scribes said, because they just read the Bible, would have done the unforgivable sin, which is nonsense of course.

I believe God revealed to me that this sin is committed if someone has hatred in their heart toward Jesus and they actually believe it to be true. Years ago I read somewhere something along the lines of this: that people like this would be going out in public and speaking out against Jesus on purpose, with the intent to prevent others from believing on and coming to Christ Jesus. They would go out of their way to do this.

Ultimately, it's about the intent and motive of your heart. These type of people do not want Christ at all!

Also, if I can provide you comfort, the verses show that Jesus knew their thoughts (the Pharisees). Jesus knew they ultimately rejected Him to the uttermost by despising Him with false accusations. They were accusing Jesus.

Also, it says they kept on saying.
It was something they just kept on saying with no conviction.

They weren't experiencing spiritual warfare with blasphemous thoughts and worried if they might go to hell.

Remember what Jesus spoke to the Pharisees.

John 8:24 (KJV)
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

"Unbelief" is the only sin that will never be forgiven! Unbelief and faithlessness are not the same things. God will forgive someone who is faithless, but unbelief will never be forgiven.

2Ti 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.

Failessness is simply a "lack of information" You can not have faith in what you do not know!

What is unbelief? It is knowing the truth and yet making a decision to not believe what you know to be true! Unbelief is having information but choosing not to believe it!

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Light is always about "knowing" something. "Darkness" is the result of turning away from the light that was shown to you!

The Holy Spirit is what "convicts" all men of their sins. Disregarding that conviction will never be forgiven!
Speaking of the Holy Spirit Jesus said.....

John 16:8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:

Well, there were time where I intended to commit this sin. But Idont know if I meant it. I hope I didn’t commit this sin. Also, do you know about adding and subtracting from scripture? Is it unforgivable? Because I once tried to think of something I’ve never thought of before and the enemy mentioned changing the scriptures. I was under spiritual attack when I throes to think of something I’ve never thought of before and I got triggered, if you know what I mean, (like it effected me negatively). I then gave in because of the triggers, I believe. Sadly, I knew in my heart that I wasn’t able to resist for long. The triggers were bad. Ever since, I’ve been struggling with it.

Jesus speaks warnings on those who add or remove from His Word.

Revelation 22:18-19.

I believe this is done by two types of people. Those who knowingly reproduce copies of bibles that were changed from God's original Word. An example would be a catholic book, I know one of the Ten Commandments was removed, which is not to have graven images.

Looking at them, they have it everywhere. So it's not the followers who would be guilty of it but whoever those guys were in the dark making these changes to suit their love of sin.

Or those who add or remove from His Word in an attempt to convince others of their fleshly interpretation or point of view.

They want to try to convince folks that their interpretation is correct--usually they are not teachable, humble and kind.

Only The Holy Spirit can teach us all things.
1 John 2:27 (KJV)
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

I don't believe it is committed when a believer may mistakenly misquote His Word, no.
I don't believe it's by plaguing thoughts either.

This is a deliberate act to gain followers in their deluded ideas through either false religion or prideful thinking.

The enemy knows your weakness (being rejected by God) and he is throwing all kinds of verses only dealing with serious sins at you and making you think you are without hope.
he is wanting to have your focus on those and not the Wonderful, Beautiful Love of God.

he is an accuser of the brethren.

When I was a teenager, I was plagued with attacks that I was a reprobate but Jesus revealed to me that I was not. How?
By spending more time with Him through His Word and by prayer.

Remember what Romans speaks regarding reprobates.
These people are completely given over to their sins, they are not questioning if they still have a second chance with God!

The Holy Spirit will comfort you and give you His Truths.
I believe The Holy Spirit is Who draws us to be holy and to want to reject whatever is not of Him.

You must begin to put on the whole armor of God, daily. Read in Ephesians, out loud in the morning before starting your day.

Spiritual warfare is real and we must begin to become stronger, just like exercising.

Tell The Lord your fears and ask for confirmations, cry out to Him everything you are worried about. Seek Him constantly, think about Him constantly.
