The nobleman said to Him, "Sir, come down before my child dies!" Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your son lives." So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. John 4:49-50

A nobleman traveled some fifteen miles, presumably on foot, from Capernaum to Cana when he heard that Jesus was there. He begged Jesus to come heal his son, who was about to die. Jesus didn't need to travel to Capernaum. He simply told the nobleman that his son would live, and the boy began to heal that same instant.

What lengths are you willing to go to in order to petition God to answer a prayer? Would you walk fifteen miles to a worship service? Would you drive several hundred miles to a retreat center? Would you forgo food for a day as you seek God's face, trusting that He will show up and speak to you? Would you be willing to let others see your desperate faith, as the nobleman did, setting yourself up for possible ridicule?

If you have an urgent need, you won't be afraid to go the extra mile to meet that need. Your willingness to do so shows your faith in God.

Prayer: Lord, in the past, I've simply asked You to show up during times of need, and You are often more than willing to do so, but help me to go to real lengths to seek You at times.

My friend, brother. your prayer. Jesus is always with us. When the Father looks at us, He sees us in His love. Whether it is at the top of the mountain, or in our failure to walk with Him.

In the beginning of my spiritual walk, i stumbled often. The Father would say to me, "ok, you fell. Take my hand, get up and walk" there is work to be done.

So like to the scripture, "get up and walk". It was in God's forgiveness of sin.
