Two Voices

The only other 'voice' a person 'hears' is that of satan trying to side-track people from God's voice. Adam and Eve had a wonderful world given to them in the beginning by God. But, they heard the voice of satan, the serpent, and they were tricked into obeying satan rather than God. Satan knows our weaknesses and uses those against us -- dresses those up to look Wonderful -- evil rarely looks Bad -- or else it wouldn't be a temptation to follow. So - mankind ends up listening too often to that secondary 'voice' that's out to get us.

Gods voice reassures you but Satan’s voice frightens you.
God’s voice enlightens you but Satan’s voice confuses you.
God’s voice encourages you but Satan’s voice discourages you.
God’s voice comforts you but Satan’s voice worries you.
God’s voice calms you but Satan’s voice obsesses you.
God’s voice convicts you but Satan’s voice condemns you.
Who’s voice are you listening to? Who’s voice is coming out of your mouth?
There is a third voice, one that you will believe before the other two…This voice will give permission to one of the other two…That third voice is YOUR voice. Who’s voice are you giving permission to? If you speak God’s Word you give permission to God in your life…If you speak opposite to God’s Word you Will give permission to Satan in your life.

Yes -- 'we' do have a choice to make -- many times a day.
And, yes, in a believer's life there Will be a tug of war going on for us. And, yes, satan's influence Does bring on those negative reactions within us. And God's Word Does bring all the positive results in our lives.
And the more a believer is Trying to do the Right thing , the more satan Will try to distract us. Satan knows our weaknesses and is pretty good at making those Very attractive.
He wants believers to be as non-effective as possible.
Which 'voice' are we 'feeding'. Are we feeding our spiritual part good spiritual food? Christian fellowship -- reading God's Word --praying -- all are important. Keeping God's Word in context is very important.
But I don't think it's 'speaking opposite to God's Word' because That would be pretty strong Against -- we're not really Giving Permission to satan in our lives.
We Need to be willing to Speak Up as believers For God's Word. Presenting in a Positive way -- Not hitting people over their head with Bible -- or ramming it down their throat.
As in 'of Course God exists' or 'of Course marriage is between a man and woman' And that there are Many ways to show love in a variety of relationships.

1Co 14:10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
There are millions of different kinds of voices a Christain must contend with daily, and all "voices" have an "intelligence" behind them with a "motive".
The only voice a believer must learn to recognize is the voice of Jesus, and learn to filter out all others.

Should I have said that there are two primary voices...should I have said God speaks through people to you, just as Satan does? Should I have said that these primary voices are the ones that are important to you?

There is only one God that speaks to man, or through man which makes no difference because there is only one God. Satan, on the other hand, gets way to much credit as he can not speak through all men as he can only be in one place at one time. Which is why there are innumerable (many kinds of voices in the world) lying, and deceiving spirits the world over.

Satan can and does speak through people...He's even fooled Christians into believing that he cannot. Satan has countless demons working for him to speak his words.

God created all of us. God is in control of everything.
There has been a constant 'battle' going on between God and satan since the garden of eden.
God gives everyone a conscience. He's provided the cross for us. But satan doesn't like the cross. He want us all in hell with him for eternity. But he doesn't Get to have everyone with him.
So -- God uses many avenues to get the Gospel to everyone. And satan does his best to prevent that.
So -- we Do need to listen to God's Word and share It with everyone who is willing to listen to the gospel.
There are those who Don't take God seriously enough. And those who Don't give satan the credit for being as deceptive as he Is.
We give as much attention to Halloween as we do to Christmas. IF we're going to acknowledge Halloween at All -- then have Christ-centered music / games. Have an outdoor Bible study going on . Play Bible trivia.

In everyday life situations there are two voice situations.
For example.
You go through the checkout at the local store and realise an item wasn't paid for.
"No one will know....it wasn't your fault....just walk away"
But the beautiful calm voice prevails
"Don't be dishonest, do the right thing, what would Jesus do"
This is perhaps a poor example......but to me it is real.
