A Believer's Righteousness

If a believer is "not" made "Righteous" by their own works or efforts, how can they become "unrighteous" by their works?

Romans 4:6
Even as David also describes the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputes righteousness without works.

Galatians 3:11

A man is not made "Righteous" or "Unrighteous" by their "works." A believer is being justified through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ did the work for sin "ALONE" without any help from man. It is only through Jesus Christ that a man is made "Righteous" by Grace through faith and not of themselves; it is a Gift from God. If God made a man Righteous, that man is Righteous because God declared him Righteous. This Righteousness cannot be reversed until the Day of Judgment when every man's heart will be made manifest. God is not judging a believer to be Righteous or Unrighteous at this time. All that come to God and confess Jesus as Lord are "Righteous" in the body of Christ. If a man sins, they "have not" been made Righteous. If a man has been made Righteous, they cannot sin. God does not impute "Righteousness" and then impute "sin" to anyone He has made Righteous. "Only" God can impute Righteousness or sin.

Romans 4:6
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

While sinners were yet sinners God put His Son on the cross to die for sinners sins. God put all sins of the world upon Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Colossians 2:13
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Not only did God forgive man of "ALL" their sins, He will not impute any sin to that believer.

Romans 4:8
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

God said, a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. God is not unstable.

How are you using this first scripture to give understanding to the post I presented?

There is a "before" and "after". Before you get saved... there is nothing you can do to earn salvation. Faith is really the only thing required.
However "after" you are saved, Certain moral rules apply.

The Calvinists here would say they were never saved in the first place... maybe so... but if this is the case, they are still basing that persons
salvation on how that live, on what kind of fruit they display. One of the problems with extreme Calvinism... is that they believe in "once saved
always saved". Therefore, after I am "saved" I can live anyway I want to and there are no consequences.

I feel like we are going around in circles here. You come up with some verses, I show you how they work with other verses
(which you always ignore) and continue down the road with your handful of verses that you build your theology on.
I hesitate to continue this conversation with you. As I've said several times now, in order for doctrine to be valid, it has to agree
with all scripture... not just the ones you cherry pick out.

2 Jn 1:8; Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

This is true... Only because no man could save himself from sin. Sin is what separated man from life. God is life for man in the name of Jesus Christ. I also believe there are rules that apply in order to obtain the fulness of life. It's by faith alone accepting Jesus Christ as Lord, but a man must show his faith by his action to express total belief in Christ.

Don't flatter yourself... You consistently present wrong information and I show you your errors in explanation. I've been asking you to do the same on my posts and you either choose not to, or you can't.

I agreed with your post [HASH=1425]#5,[/HASH] but you really didn't answer the question.

Anyway, the answer is they cannot. A man became "A SINNER" because God imputed Adam's sin to all mankind without their works of any kind. A man was "born" a sinner and that cannot be changed as long as they choose to be a sinner in the flesh. A sinner cannot do "ANY" righteous works period.

Romans 6:20
For when you were the servants of sin, you were "FREE" from righteousness.

A man became "RIGHTEOUS" because God "imputed" Righteousness unto him without his works of any kind. A believer was "born" Righteous and that cannot change as long as they are in the body of Christ where there is no sin until the Day of Judgment. Once a person is born in Christ, they cannot become "unborn." If a believer cannot become unborn, they cannot become unrighteous. Righteousness or unrighteousness by nature determines the character of the person from birth.

Righteousness is a "Gift," from birth, it cannot be taken away. God's Gift and His callings are without repentance. God only sees a sinner as a sinner. God only sees a Righteous man as a righteous man until the Day of Judgment. If the sinner repents, they're Righteous until judgment.
