In Phillippians Paul is discussing that we have an account and when we do good work we get it credited to our account, seems we have a heavenly account that is being added to by what we do here on earth, wonder if it can also be subtracted from what we do here on earth.

Philippians 4:17
Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.

New International Version
Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.

King James Bible
Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

King James 2000 Bible
Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

2 Jn 1:8; Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

1 Cor 3:13; each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work.
1 Cor 3:14; If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.
1 Cor 3:15; If any
man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire

Gal 4:11; I fear for you, that perhaps I have labored over you in vain.

1 Thes 3:5; For this reason, when I could endure it no longer, I also sent to find out about your faith, for fear that the tempter might have tempted you, and our labor would be in vain.

Jesus speaks of storing up treasure in heaven,

Matthew 6:20-21
, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Jesus also tells us what to do in order to get money bags in heaven

Luke 12:33
Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Jesus also tells us about rewards and how to earn them here on earth,

Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Matthew 6:4
So that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Matthew 6:18
That your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

So according to the scripture we have rewards, money bags and treasures in heaven that we can earn now here on earth seems we have a account that will be added to and subtracted from according to how we live. We can not take it with us be we can send it ahead.

now with out the right heart we will receive nothing, because once you get your new heart it seems to me you dont do these things for the reward, but to please our heavenly father.

warnings of doing work for the wrong reasons

Matthew 6:16
“And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

Matthew 6:1-4
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 6:1
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

@Dave M,
Hello Dave, hope your holidays are blessed. You posted: Philippians 4:17
“Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.”

Paul is not seeking a physical gift from the Philippians for serving God and ministering the Gospel unto them. Paul knows that every believer must bring forth the “fruit” of Christ; which is the “character” of Christ (Gal 5:22, 23). Paul is seeking for the Philippians to develop in Christ’s Love. This is the “fruit” that is written in the book of life a believers stores up in Heaven. If a believer does not bring at least “thirty fold fruit” into existence by renewing their mind to change their character (Eph. 4:22-24), they are seen as “unfruitful” and “tare” believers (Mat. 13:25-38; Mat. 13:18-23; Luk. 8:5-15).

A believer that does not develop fruit cannot glorify God (Joh. 15:9). Without the fruit of “Love” a believer will not inherit Life (Jam. 1:12; 2:5). If a believer does not develop in fruit, (which is the Love of God), they will not and cannot “ABIDE” in the love of God (Joh. 15:10).

Joh 15:16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Joh 15:6 If a man “abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Only a believer can be “withered.” An unbeliever cannot be withered because they are already dead, withered and condemned. Only a believer has become alive in Christ and abide in Him.

Paul is not seeking a physical gift from the Philippians

Correct Paul is not seeking anything for himself, he wants to make sure their heavenly "bankaccount" is credited for there good works

we have the ability build a treasure chest in heaven by the work we do here on earth, Jesus tells us to store up treasures in heaven, this is what Paul is referring to.

@Dave M,
The good works of man in God’s sight is the conditioning of our character (Eph.4:22, 24; 1Jo.3:14; Tit.3:14). Good works are the fruit of love (God’s character) and are applied to our character and Heavenly account. If we do not have the character of Godly love, we will not inherit Heaven (Joh. 15:9, 10,12, 16) (Jam.1:12; 2:5).

Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Joh. 15:9).

Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shall have praise of the same:

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

@Dave M,
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Joh. 15:8, 9).

Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Joh 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Rom 2:6 God will repay each person according to what they have done.
