My name is Melissa Rosado, I am 26 years old and have been struggling majorly from financial to spiritual depression. Christianity for some reason is what i have been struggling with and this is my way of trying to understand, believe, and become closer to god because i feel like a lost sheep. I would love to build a relationship with god to not only save me but my family as well for we all need Jesus. My search is for a connection with the lord and i feel like i am lost in the christian world and i am begging for help.

Ask the Lord Jesus Christ for help in understanding His words in the KJV. As you learn of Him to depend on Him all the time, may your joy be full as you grow in the knowledge of Him.

As for worrying about finances... ask Jesus to help you trust Him for all things and to keep your sights and set your heart on the things above, and not of the earth.

Matthew 6:.24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof..

1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Colossians 3:1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. 10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

Do keep in mind that it is okay to receive help when others see that you need help. Check with local churches about ministries that give out food and any other assistance that they can see that you need. Relatives can also help and so if they offer you something, do feel free to accept the help since families are supposed to take care of each other when it is in their power to do so rather than give their "gifts" to churches.

1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

It's a giant rabbit hole Melissa.

Hello, Melissa. I'm Christine. I was a pagan for almost 25 years before I asked Christ to come back to my life. I had felt very negative towards my Catholic upbringing, so much so that I chose not to be confirmed in that faith. I'm now 50, and have returned to the Christian faith and feel like God has brought me home. I constantly recite Psalm 23; I spend time daily in the Word and pray throughout the day now. "I once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now I see."
But enough about me.
It's such a wonderful thing that you're being called back to the Lord so young; I'm just thrilled for you. I see you are getting so many responses, and I saw the "it's a rabbit hole". That's just negative and sad. You will have your own path to walk out. All the guidance I've received seemed overwhelming... for about 5 seconds (), until I just made myself a little list and got some priorities going. One of my favorite first resources still is 89days.net. I got a reading program that took me through the new testament and proverbs, just to start. I'm on my second round reading through that. I also downloaded

a Bible app through biblica.com which hands down is the best Bible app I've ever seen. Use friendly with a ton of great studies and features; it's been the biggest help for me.
Just spend a little time every day,or most days at first. Make a list of your priorities and goals to go from. You can get overwhelmed of you take in too many directives at once. Keep things simple so you can go at your own pace--don't worry, if you take a step at a time towards God through Jesus, He'll come miles toward you.
I'd love to hear from you about your progress. Congratulations. Love and prayers!!!

There are only us mere humans in this world but we can be of good cheer because Christ has overcome this world and promises to return to receive us who love His appearing. God has provided that we and humanity has made it this far. Will we be dissatisfied with what He has provided and tell Him that He has not done all things well? I will, in all things, give thanks even though my wants in this world don't quit. The Bible says God is with us and will never leave nor forsake us and that He is an ever present help for our troubles. We either accept and give thanks and be believing and not unbelieving or we focus on our afflictions/troubles, forgetting what He is preparing for us who love Him and His appearing.
Thank you Lord God/Jesus you have provided all and you have provided tremendously. You have done all things well and you do and are doing all things well. Thank you for the peace that you provide through the Bible which tells us that you've got us and you love us and that you will not permit more trouble than we can bear in trusting in you oh my lord and God/jesus.

Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.

Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 7:7-8
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be open

Melissa for me it starts with quite time in the morning reading scripture and prayer being with Gods word alone I would be lost with out, but it also requires discipline and obedience to get closer to God. Another good way is to find a group for bible study that do life together and hold each other accountable

God bless you

In Jesus you will find rest, and so much more. His Sacrifice and Love for you has no bounds. As others have said. Find time to spend with Him, and study His Word. This are the nutrients by which you can grow and live a life with Christ in your life as the light thereof.

It first starts between you and Him, in knowing the why He did what He did, why it was necessary, and the hope that comes with accepting that you can't do anything eternal that is worth anything without Jesus in your life.

Once again be welcome and I hope that you will find Him and one day call Him Lord & Savior!
With the Love of Christ Jesus.
Nick
