6 Lies That Block Blessings

speaking of blessings and curses in some ways I here this on tv and make me think its sounds more like a magic formula.

But when Paul suffered with a thorn in his thigh and asked God to take it out away from him, yet God refused saying his grace was good enough, so to me that is God using discipline perhaps for our own good for when we are weak we are strong in God is something I recall reading in scripture. God uses are weakness (maybe being sick to rely on him. look at the how many people come to Christ while they are sick in bed with no hope, coming to Christ is the best thing that ever happened to them and it was because they were sick in bed.

So God does seem to use things that may seem bad to human eyes to purify us or make us better followers OF Jesus, Even Jesus said let Gods will be done when he was heading to the cross but asked if there was another way around it suggesting that Jesus (humans side) will was different then Gods will.

God does not think like man . Does he uses hard times difficulties and even injuries to make us better followers of Christ YES he does as the apostle paul thorn in his thigh proves, as Jacob who was given a limp in his walk wrestling with Christ before crossing over the river proves

So does God bring sickness to people this I do not know but I know nothing happens with out God letting it happen. I know from my personal life sin and lack of real faith caused a miserable life, and obedience and strong faith has transformed my life,, But what about people in third world countries they live in a poverty, people in the states cant even imagine where are there blessings, I know one thing for sure we who are blessed better be blessing others with our blessings. I also think these people in third world countries blessing will come in eternal life far greater then anything we can even imagine while in the flesh.

I wonder why Christians insist God refused to deliver Paul of the 'thorn'. God did not refuse at all but told Paul how to get rid of it. "My GRACE is sufficient for you (to do) that job." I suppose one has to know what grace is to understand what happened there.
Let me illustrate it...."Pa! Pa! There's a rattle snake on the porch!" Pa looked at me and replied. "That .22 over the door is sufficient for you. It'll do the job."

If we want the Lord to here our prayers and answer them here is some great scripture

Isaiah 58:7-10 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, to bring the poor and homeless into your house, to clothe the naked when you see him, and not to ignore your own flesh and blood? Then your light will appear like the dawn, and your recovery will come quickly. Your righteousness will go before you, and the Lord’s glory will be your rear guard. At that time, when you call, the Lord will answer; when you cry out, He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you get rid of the yoke among you, the finger-pointing and malicious speaking, and if you offer yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted one, then your light will shine in the darkness, and your night will be like noonday

. Proverbs 22:9
Whoever has a bountiful eye will
be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.

Proverbs 19:17
Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

Proverbs 14:31
Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.

Proverbs 21:13
Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself call out and not be answered.

seems to me the surest way to block a blessing is to ignore the poor
