I Have heard Jesus in Christianity is different from Islam. What ways is he different?

He's a prophet. Jesus is God? I had heard he was son of God?maybe it would help if we knew what way he was thought of in Islam, in Christianity he is God in the flesh

This is new to me. One God head, three Gods, what does that mean? I thought Jesus was the son and holy spirit angel and God was the One God. But it's like three Gods?Christians believe in one God with three beings the God the son the holly spirit all in one, three God heads one God. So yes he is the Son of God also. God is not something a human can really wrap a human mind around fully becuase he is that awesome. Our God is so awesome it futile to try to fully understand his being IMO how do you humanely understand that God was always God you just have to trust in God.
If Jesus is son of holy spirit, is he the father? And I think God is different here I mean the main one?He is not only the Son of God, but also God Himself.
Jesus created the world and the Universe.
Jesus was crucified on a cross in order to be the sacrifice for the sins of the world.
Jesus was resurrected and is seated on a throne in heaven at the right hand of the Father.
Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, not by a human man. His mother Mary was still a virgin when Jesus was born.
Jesus will return to rule over the entire earth for 1,000 years at some point in the future.
If Jesus is son of holy spirit, is he the father? And I think God is different here I mean the main one?
Hi ,

Hmm I understand now. It's like one family 3 Gods. But how does that make one God? There are 3 different Gods here? There is not a "main one". There is only one God. An egg has three parts. A shell a yoke, and an egg white... but it's still just one egg, not three.
The US government has three parts, a judicial branch, an executive branch, and a legislative branch, but's still just one country.
Just one government, not three.
A family may have a husband, a wife, and a child. But it's still just one family, not three.
A tricycle has three wheels, but it's still one tricycle.
God has three parts... Father, Son and Holy Spirit.... but it's still just one God.
Honestly I'm confused. If there are 3 different consciousness there is 3 Gods right? Maybe it's like one family of 3 Gods?Great questions. Here are two passage from the gospels that may help
One of the scribes came near and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, he asked him, “Which commandment is the first of all?” Jesus answered, “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:28-34
Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
John 14:8-12
In the first, Jesus very clearly says that God is one. No Christian believes that there are three Gods.
In the second passage, Jesus teaches his disciples that he and the Father are one. To see Jesus is to see the Father.
Elsewhere in the Bible, Jesus is described as the image of the invisible God. Nobody can see God in all his majesty directly and survive. So God revealed himself in Jesus by being born a baby and living as a man. Jesus bridges the divide between God and humanity.
Can you tell me reference to the verses from QuranGood evening, OneGodBeliever. You ask a very good question and one which is central to all religious beliefs: did God have a son, and was that same son a sacrificial lamb to atone for the sins of the world? While many religious people accept that Jesus was a good person, they deny he was anything other than a good personand at best, a prophet who set a moral example for others to follow.
The Noble Quran assigns about 35 verses to Jesus stating his mother is Mary, he created a bird from clay, healed the sick, and he had a following of disciples none of whom are named. Even the Hadiths add little content on the subject of Jesus. While muslims treat Jesus as a great prophet, they claim that Allah never had a son. Mary is given an entire surah (Maryam), but the Quran stops short of saying her son, Jesus, had a father. His birth was a complete miracle, perhaps spontaneous in nature? The Bible and the Quran agree that Adam was created, but Jesus seems an enigma within Islam.
Islam and Christianity will always be divided on one point, the role of Jesus. Muhammad denied he had a father, and Muhammad denied Jesus was crucified and died. The question you must answer is much like the rest of us: is Jesus whom the Bible claims he is? Did Jesus send the Holy Spirit as a helper? Is Jesus the Lamb slain for the sins of the world and those who believe and follow him will become the children of God?
Muslims have claimed that the Jews, Christians, and Islams are brothers. Christianity is a fulfillment of Judaism while Islam claims Christianity is false. Islam in reality is an attempt to return believers to a form of Mosaic Law.
John 3:16 says that God loved the people in the world so much that he sent his only begotten son that those who believe in him will live forever and not die. If you can believe that, you are beginning to learn what Jesus really is about. He did not come to condemn the world nor be a part of it. But through him, the world might be saved.
Cheers, John
So God made one God in 3 Gods?H2O. Two hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. In combination, its what most people call water. Life giving water. If you get it cold enough, it becomes hard and no longer recognizable as water. If you heat it enough, it all turns to steam, looking nothing like water. All three are the same thing, but represented differently depending on the situation its in. If God can do this with water, is it too hard for God to do the same with Himself?
God is one, just as water is one. But there is 3 different natures of God that are different from the other. A finite mind like humans has a hard time understanding the infinite. Its human to try and understand the nature of God, that we feel we KNOW God, but all we know is based on what is written. Not even the prophets who gave the word of God, truly knew God. Probably the closest was Enoch, but his understanding was still like the understanding of an ant who looks at a human. The scriptures handed down to Christianity speaks of 3 separate natures of God, 3 distinct natures that seem to interact with the others AS IF they are separate but one in spirit. So
So God made one God in 3 Gods?
Honestly I'm confused. If there are 3 different consciousness there is 3 Gods right? Maybe it's like one family of 3 Gods?

I'm struggling with the concept of Trinity. None of the concepts are getting through the mind. How can three different god's be one God?I'm glad you are here! I hope the community blesses you and you find Jesus as your Savior.
Please read these in the meantime too...
