Process is learning to walk in the Spirit.
Having the Seed of God in us does not make us so that we don't sin, but rather brings forth the desire to Please Him and gives us the strength and power to learn to overcome sin.
If our flesh has been killed, we have no choice but to walk in the Spirit. (Gal 5:24-25)
And being reborn of Godly seed does make it possible to live without bearing evil fruit. (1 John 3:9)
Have you been short with anyone or insisted your way was best ?
That is exercising evil fruit.
With that mind-set, you can easily accuse Jesus of committing sin.
"Liar, hypocrites, children of the devil".
Sound familiar?
Those words were spoken righteously to those deserving it.
It is written..."Be ye angry, and sin not: " (Eph 4:26)
Rebellion against God is Disobedience and Doubt and unbelief and fear is opposite of Faith
Jesus "feared" in the garden of Gethsemane, was that lack of faith? Or disobedience?
You were correct on one point...rebellion against God is disobedience.
Thanks be to God for making it possible to live without sin!.
We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
If "we" know it, why do "we" post things like..."Having the Seed of God in us does not make us so that we don't sin"
Actually it lines up quite well.
Romans is not claiming that if we did then it does automatically.
Your POV is unscriptural.
It casts doubt on what is given to us by God. ie...crucify the flesh, and be reborn of God's seed.
11 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,
12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, …
13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God
bmade alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
It appears that you believe once you were born again you reached the place where you now walk in the spirit and have no more sin .
Absolutely correct, thanks be to God.
A true, real, repentance from sin changes you into an ex-sinner.
Romans 12..conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
This truly nullifies scriptures such as renewing the mind. What use would it be for us to be instructed to renew the mind if God already took care of this when we were born again?
The renewing of your mind is a life long event and does not automatically happen .
Sorry to see you feel that way, as it basically says you will never "walk in the Spirit".
You have said you don't sin and never walk in the flesh.
By what standards to you judge this by?
The standard I use is the word of God, and how my life now correlates with it, and by the Spirit of God given to me,as Peter promised, for a real "turn from" sin.
It is written..."All unrighteousness is sin." (1 John 5:17)
Don't do unrighteousness.
Do only righteousness.
How difficult is that, when God promises we won't be tempted above what we are able, and that He will provide an escape from it? (1 Cor 10:13)
Thanks be to God.
