Hmmm. Who's headship are you under? Who is the head of the church? Jesus is the head. Not a man.
Who do you give your money to? How about putting your money where Jesus directs you to put it?
Who are you accountable to? 1 Jesus 2 My family 3 other home church members
Home churches do grow...When they get too big they start another home church. Its the organized churches that are critical of home churches
So meeting in a smaller home group is not gathering yourselves together? Really?
Home churches have leaders...
LOL Interesting how many church 'staff' Pastors Elders Deacons are swelled with such pride. But of course that does not exist in an organized church, if you ask them.
Why not humble yourself to serve.....Home churches do that.
I like this one..By all means, be a part of a home bible study within that church.....Until the church finds out about it then they'll condemn you.
He says 'they're always making fun of the church, mocking the church.' He does not mention how the church condemns the home churches, does he?
Jesus did not make the church His bride. Read the Word. The Bride comes out of the church.
So people who go to home churches are not part of the body? Really? Who said that? Not Jesus.
This type of teaching in quite hypo farcical Its not based on the Word at all.

I don't hear too much about the part I have highlighted on the Internet or otherwise. I know some people who believe that but it is hardly a group commonly known although they have been around longer than I have: The difference between the Church and the Bride.

I think if people have been hurt and start their own home churches the main reason is because of one greedy wolf pastor, cos I know that happened with one church group I know.
But the majority of organised churches do function fine so its not the organisation I would find fault with but whether theres wolves in sheeps clothing trying to fleece the flock. You do need to be vigilant and stop these wolves at the door. And thats by obeying and trusting in Jesus in everything. This is where spiritual discernment comes in.
Many people are swayed by moneyand unfortunately some people try and make a lucrative career out of churches and christians genorisity..just the same as when Jesus had a guy called Judas as his treasurer.

Um. Neither thats new to me..
Also, with home churches are they not accountable to anyone who doesnt come to their home or is it just the same bunch of people over and over. I dont know who the 'other home group members' would be cos wouldnt they have churches in their own homes as well. SO why would they need to go to yours. Ok if you in a wheelchair and cant go anywhere but even then why should everyone just go to your home. Plus..the people in wheelchairs I know DO make the effort to go to organised church and the church welcomes them. The church is organised in such a way that anybody in a wheelchair or pushchair is welcome.
I mean hooray if you have a big home and you love having visitors over all the time. But its still just your home and dont belong to anyone else..wheras a church...it actually belongs to all its members. It doesnt mean you can do whatever you like but it does teach you to get along with people who are not just your family and are different and have different needs. And yea sometimes its hard. But we learn from it. Thats the whole point. Corinthians shows us we need each other and the eye cant say to the ear I have no need of you..or the toe. Or whatever part of the body..we belong to one another thats the second commandment love thy neighbour as thyself.

The Church is not inside a physical building of any sort. Where ever there are two, or three gathered together in his name there Jesus is. That can be on a street corner, in a car, or just about anywhere. Not only that, but when a person becomes born from above they are translated into the Kingdom of God, and brought to the Heavenly city Zion where the Church is gathered together in the spirit. Jesus sometimes taught in a Church setting, but most of the time it was outside or inside someones home.

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

I agree with this of course, but it seems many stop with with just saying "it isn't a building" and forget about the "two or three gathered together"
part.

All the christians I know gather in buildings on rainy and windy days. This is so we dont catch colds.
I went into a building for bible study but at this time of year it was like a fridge we could have done it outside in the carpark I guess. Actually it seemed slightly warmer outside yesterday! But we wanted to have it at church cos I cant have it at my place, the other lady has children and i think the other lives further away.
We did think about it though its just everyone knows to meet at church. If we met at the library we might have got kicked out, I was told off for reading the bible there once.
Usually I pray in the car. But when theres more people we cant all fit in my car.

Jesus said he was the cornerstone, or the rock and we are living stones and church is the pillar and ground of truth..he definitely used a lot of building analogies when talking about church.
The wise man built his house upon the rock...meaning it was always there.
The foolish man built his house on sand..it fell down. If nobody even knows where your church meets regularly then how can you tell them to be there its as simple as that.

We bring the Church to were ever we go, because we are the Church. Even though we might be separated physically by thousands of miles, yet, we are never apart from each other spiritually as the Apostle Paul said.....

well am going to school today. But all is teachers still are fed regularly at churches. Because its church education commission. We dont just learn it online. I think they tried to do it that way but not everyone learns online. Its better we meet up.
Also, I do have a classroom to teach in. Which is a building. Thank the Lord he gives us buildings otherwise would be teaching in the rain and cold.

Actually when Paul was writing to the colossians he might have been in jail. He still planted churches though and those letters were read out in church gatherings. I dont think he established church in jail, sure he evangelised in them but obviously jail isnt a place that people willingly go to!!!
When jackie pullinger evangelised to the addicts on the walled city in Hong kong what she did was prepare a place for them to go to when it got busted down and they became christians.
I like that church is a safe place for the sheep. Especially new lambs. Why would you send out lambs to places where they could be eaten by wolves that makes no sense.

Why does a church need deacons, and elders? The church is made up of every single Christian on the planet...What you're talking about is organized groups and organized denominations. None of which even existed in the bible times.. It was all home groups. Unless you can show me otherwise?

I dont think he is talking about denominations. Evey church has elders and deacons although some of them call them by different names, and churches will be organised in at least some fashion cos God gave some peope admin skills. In the Bible Moses dad told him he had to delegate roles because it was too much work for Moses to be leading every little detail. The church or assembly of Gods children existed back in those times now, however in new testment times all have Jesus as their lord and saviour, not Moses or Elijah.
If you read the Bible you will find that it is so..and God does have specific instructions on how people were to gather to praise and worship Him, and to eat together, he even had all thse feasts that were on certain days. Search scripture out and you will find it. Most churches these days just pick a name so you know the location of where it is!! Unfortunately some tradtions try to make a name for themselves and people just call it that i mean st andrews church is not about doing things andrews way..hes just a saint that was highly esteemed. I dont think they mean that they go and worship andrew.
