What is Your Source?

I have gone to different websites to search out answers to some of my questions concerning the Word....Some are quite good, while some are not quite so worth while. One MUST remember always that the Word is absolutely the best commentary on the Word....Sites like 'Got Questions.com will often choke a Christian with blat rather than Word... and of course many other sites....I mentioned this one specifically because many times I noted that it directly contradicted the Word.
In my Jewish studies I see one also has to be careful which sites one goes to...There are many 'Jewish' sites that are based on Kaballah....
Always let the Word be its own commentary...and if you go to google be very very careful as to the source..
Also Do not read a single verse and base your belief on it alone...There are very few stand alone verses in the bible. On the flip side, God can give you a single verse as a promise for YOU from His Word...Its something you can claim, but you still cannot build your doctrine on it....Many verses we read need the preceding verses and those following to keep it in context...Some need the chapter before and after to keep that context and meaning....
What do you think?

Bendito just for the record you think kenneth copeland teaches the correct word is that right, the man is a wolf in sheep clothing, any one with the slightest bit of discernment should be able to see that, only a baby christian or someone with out sound doctrine would be taken in by that wolf?? you are very wrong about GOtquestions. I would suggest brother that you find a good bible study course adn pray to God he opens your eyes. Here is one that is sound in Doctrine if you are serous about learning the correct word and to be able to Discern this would be a great course for you. The Book of Romans | Verse By Verse Ministry International.

Do not want to argue and I mean no disrespect but we are to call out false teacher and help our brothers see them as well.

Concerning Gotquestions.com....I have personally noted several instances where they contradict the Word.... As to Kenneth Copeland...Where did that come from? I did not mention any specific preacher...I'm talking about our own digging into the Word

[for me anyway] we must needs submit to and rely upon the Word of God daily, and it must be at the forefront of our life all the day long no matter the circumstances, and keep ourselves away from the distractions of this present evil world as much as possible, knowing that the works of the world are evil: for we are supposed to live by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, and not by bread alone; but it shall be according as every person purposes it in their heart.

But, must we not be careful in what we say the Word of God is? There are atheists who use the contents of printed Bibles to prove their positions in opposition to God. Without the quickening of the Holy Spirit the written words in a Bible [any version or language] are dead. The Word of God is never dead. So then again what is our source? Should it not ultimately be that which is ALIVE in us? Without the Holy Spirit quickening what we have read in scripture, is it really the Word of God in us?

The Word is the Word whether we believe it or not. God's Word never changes. We may change, but His word doesn't.
Satan knows the Bible. He even quotes it sometimes. (at least parts of it) But I doubt he has the Holy Spirit "quickening" him.
Remember Satan was once a "good" angel. (Did the Holy Spirit quicken him then?)
There may be people who don't understand or believe the Bible... but the Bible is true and valid whether they believe it or not.

There was a bumper sticker that was popular back in the 90's.

God said it.
I believe it.
That settles it.

It's a nice thought, but it doesn't matter if we believe it or not. God said it... that settles it. Period.

And right there you nail it Amadeus....Our Source must be Jesus (the Word), Given, or opened to us by the Holy Spirit (the Word) and the Father (the Word) The Word giving us understanding we can easily be led astray
