There's probably more going on in what I said, but at least it's something. Other than the common religious terminology of souls, spirits and bodies. A terminology that has yet to be identified and expanded in a theoretical arena.

In a spiritual sense it has already been "identified" that man is a spirit who has a soul, and lives in a body.. None of the things being talked about here can be understood with human natural mind because it is only with the heart (spirit) can man understand them. No amount of debate can ever change that.
1Co 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
If you really want to be able to understand what is being discussed here, you must be born again by doing this.
Rom 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

This is what every unbeliever thinks, and says who is not a child of God. You are NOT telling us anything we have not already heard before. Accepting Jesus to be your savior is the only way you will ever be able to understand anything being spoken here.

I was a believing, baptised, born again, spirit filled Christian like any other. I came with conditions like all of you, but I learned to humble myself and walk the best walk I could.
I read the bible, prayed, attended church and listened to my teacher's. But it was all for naught, they don't listen in return (Well most) and I got sick of waiting and hoping on Jesus to correct abnormalities that were detrimental to my character.
So I left and worked on myself, and I had far more success than some vague belief system had.
It's not perfect, but at least things went forward after 14 years of wishful thinking.

Sanctification which means, "to make Holy" is only a work God can do. We can not change ourselves no matter how much we want to. All we can do is "modify" our behavior, but that is only a temporary fix that is not lasting. If you say you were "born again" years ago then you can not become "un born again". When a person comes to Jesus for salvation God starts his work of sanctification, and he guarantees he will finish what he starts. We can not speed up that process, but we can slow it way down by taking back our lives in an attempt to do it ourselves.
Php 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
You coming to this forum was not an accident. The Lord your God is drawing you back to where you last left off. Let go and let the Lord do his work in you, because he is the only one who can give true peace and success in what you are looking for.
Yeah that what I was saying, I waited and hoped for Jesus to make his changes.
It didn't eventuate.

This process takes a life time, and then some. This is why the Bible says, "where sin abounds, grace does much more abound". Without God's abundant grace we would all be in deep trouble. We are all sinners that are gradually becoming Holy as God does his work in us.
