What's all the fuss?

  1. It does not surprise me that some do not understand. A person would have to had a life like mine to know the real truth and to see life from ALL sides. To have made life a study..,,not because I was smart,... because I was driven by symptoms of PTSD and countless hours of counseling and therapy and to always see ALL sides and to make a final stand on what's right or wrong but always according to the shadow of God.. A woman can do anything a man can do........but a man can do it just with a little more result. It get down to inductive reasoning-men- to deductive reasoning- women- who starts thinking with details and only then proceed to the general idea, wrong or right. Men start from the general idea and only then have the non-emotional facts to warrant a general idea; right or wrong.
    It's just life, and it takes a Christian without a spin to know that women are to be treated as the weaker sex and treated as a jewel. The jewel is now lost it's luster. Now,try to tell me that this is not in the Bible. Women started this equality stuff and it will backfire even further..
    Aside from religion; men have a little bit more gray matter, 22% more lung capacity and more muscle man and thoughts cannot change this as it is God's plan. In heaven we are all the same but her on Earth we are still seeking truth on a completely different level..

9 Differences Between the Male and Female Brain
May 12, 2015

Most people are intrigued by the thought processes of the opposite sex. Despite rumors to the contrary, men and women are from the same planet. However, there are many differences between the brains of men and women. I have listed nine of them below. There is bound to be some respectful discourse about this topic, so please feel free to comment or provide alternative points of view below.

1. Brain size: The male brain is typically about ten percent larger than the female brain. Although the extra mass does give males more processing power, this doesn’t make men more intelligent. Rather, science believes the reason for the increased brain mass is to accommodate the bigger body mass and muscle groups of the male (human).

2. Brain hemispheres: Many men are sharply left-brain dominant, while women tend to be more evenly balanced between left and right-brain processing. Women are therefore thought to be slightly more intuitive, and sometimes better communicators. Men are often less socially adept, and are more task-oriented thinkers than females.

3. Relationships: Women are purported to have better communication skills and emotional intelligence than men. Women tend to be group-oriented, and apt to seek solutions by talking through issues. Men can have trouble picking up on emotional cues unless they’re clearly verbalized – making for tricky communications between the sexes.

4. Mathematical skills: The inferior-parietal lobule, which controls numerical brain function, is larger in males than in females. On standardized tests, men often score higher on mathematical tests than women.

5. Stress: When faced with stressful situations, men usually employ ‘fight or flight’ tactics, while women use a ‘tend or befriend’ response that is rooted in their natural instincts for caring for their children and establishing strong group bonds.

6. Language: Women often excel at language-based tasks for two reasons: two brain areas that deal with language are larger in females, and females process language in both hemispheres while males favor a single brain half.

7. Emotions: Since women tend to have a larger deep limbic system then men, they’re more in touch with their feelings and are better at expressing their emotions. This makes women better at connecting with others, but unfortunately also more prone to different types of depression.

8. Spatial abilities: The parietal region is thicker in the female brain, making it harder for them to mentally rotate objects – an important spatial skill. Women often report difficulty with spatial tasks, both on tests and in real life. Want to test this theory with a loved one?

9. Susceptibility to brain function disorders: Men are more likely to be dyslexic or have other language disabilities, since they’re more often left-brain dominant. Males are also more prone to autism, ADHD and Tourette’s Syndrome, while women are more susceptible to mood disorders like anxiety and depression.

I'm ALL for men being smarter, stronger, tougher & dominant. I AM very outspoken BUT I do know my role as a woman. I don't want control & the responsibility men have. I will do my part but I also know that men are a wee bit above a woman no matter what I might care to like or dislike at times.

God never created any human being to be above or beneath another. He created woman to be an equal partner to the male, which is what "help meet" means---"meet" means "equal to". The problem has come from many misinterpreting "help meet" to "helpmate" and the connotation people have taken from that. Not scripture.

We must be careful that we do not parrot worldly values, but take on God's values. Countless women are the sole leaders and breadwinners of their households. They are up to the challenge and they do just as well, if not better sometimes than many men in the same boat. God is our supply---Jehovah Jireh---no matter what gender we are!

That said, men are no more smart than women, nor tougher, nor dominant than women, and many women are stronger than men, physically. There is a balance. As Christians who have right thinking on our side, we need to be careful not to adopt old worldly stereotypes.

I'm 6 feet tall, built like a softball player, can bench press a good 175 (now that I'm older) leg press 255 with ease & am a whip with smarts street smarts & hands on.... so when I say I'm ALL for men being the one with the last word or dominate. I'm ALL for it because I've been obligated to take on a mans roll & it is NOT fun.

I understand your sentiment, but my dear, men are not created to dominate.

Genesis 1:26-28
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

27 So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

It's just life, and it takes a Christian without a spin to know that women are to be treated as the weaker sex and treated as a jewel.
1Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

1Timothy 5:2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. 3 Honour widows that are widows indeed.
5:9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man, 10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children,
if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

Titus 2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness,
not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. 6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

1Peter 3:1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life;
that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

So are the abilities or the inabilities of people, male or female, the gauge by which God measures us? He gave each of us all that we have, so would He, being the fair loving God that we all likely know that He is, make any final decision based simply on what we started with...?

Or would He rather consider what we have done with what we have been given as in the parable of the talents. If we use it so that it has been multiplied when it comes back to Him, would that not please Him more than burying what we have received so as to preserve the original amount? What think ye?

No matter what other scriptures we may read, consider always also this one:

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." Gal 3:28

Of course for us to fully understand God's meaning as He gave these words to Paul, would we not already have to be "one in Christ Jesus"? If we are disagreeing, are we?

Don't we have to agree with all of our sisters as well as with all of our brothers?

Isn't our availability to God more important than our ability? Does not this apply equally to people of either natural gender?

Equal but different. Complimentary! Women are to subordinate, but not to be dominated; and men are to be self-sacrificial in support of women.

Two helpful scriptures:

"Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. But women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety."
1 Timothy 2:8-15

"Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body.'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." Ephesians 5:22-33
