If it's a sin to go to nightclubs, then it's a sin for singles to mingle, for man, through Adam and Eve's sin, has eternally forfeited the Earth as well as the right to live, marry, and multiply upon the Earth, and everyone therefore is commanded to remain celibate.

If it's a sin to go to nightclubs, then women are not human at all, but are Satan's demons wearing human flesh and just waiting to drag men into the lake of fire through dating and marriage.
lol

1 Cor 5:9-11 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.

If it is impossible to mingle without taking drugs and getting drinking, to hell with the club. How are we supposed to witness...?

While I agree that a nightclub, tavern, or bar, can be a den of iniquity, not everybody there is out to commit every sin against God they can think of. I have met many nice people who didn't swear, they got in a few dances with their wives, mingled with friends, had a pint or two, played a game of pool, and left well before closing time when they had had enough. In short, ideal bar patrons for a night out.

I am not suggesting this should be done at every opportunity. If you're invited out on rare occasion, it won't hurt to go along, have a wee pint with your host, and then excuse yourself after an hour or so remembering to thank your host. That's good manners and in good taste. You are not being asked to break the Law or become an immoral delinquent. If you feel that this small gesture will lead you into a night of complete debauchery, then by all means pass on the invitation as you likely have far greater problems lurking beneath the surface.

I also agree, that if it's a Saturday night and being in Sunday School or Church the next morning will be a priority, deciding that God can wait may not be a good thing. However, it's His decision on what to make of it. I'm sure you will be advised.

The patrons in a tavern are no different than you and I: They need Jesus just as much. How you wish to define a good role model is in part up to you, but sometimes doors are opened for the good of the Kingdom in the most unlikely places.

True, there are certain clubs that should be avoided. For example, clubs that play a lot of rap music (that stuff with all the profanity in it), clubs that sit in a bad neighborhood and hence are often frequented by drug users/drug runners, criminals, and such, are clubs that no Christian person would dare go to.

Also, not a single club I have ever been to ever had a requirement that patrons must drink alcoholic beverages and smoke to stay there. From my experiences, you don't want to drink alcohol at a nightclub, you don't have to drink alcohol at a nightclub. And if you don't want to smoke at a nightclub, you don't have to smoke either. Nightclubs have plenty of non-alcoholic options to choose from, and in fact, a growing number of nightclubs have even banned smoking!

Sin is everything that does not spring from faith in God.

It is not always very helpful or satisfactory to label activities sinful or not sinful, and it can be a short cut to legalism rather than to the freedom to which we are called.

There is nothing wrong in itself about having a good time in a nightclub. Your Christian witness to your friends is about your whole life, and you are likely to have more influence on them on the dancefloor than you would outside handing out tracts.

But you ought not be naive about the environment - there is plenty to offend and distract you from your walk with God.

I would say that in the end, this is a question of wisdom, rather than of black and white right and wrong.

Be sensible and make sure you are accountable to Christian friends that you can trust. Then if you do fall (and we all do at some time) you will have someone nearby to help you back onto your feet.

Without knowing you or your situation, its not really appropriate to give a more specific answer.

I can tell you are mature in your faith. Keep up the great work for the Kingdom. Great treasures await you in heaven. Stay strong.

Why would a Christian even think of going nightclubbing?

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

It all depends on the motives of your heart and the choices you are making while your at the club. How are you representing the Kingdom of Heaven as an Ambassador for Jesus Christ while your there? God could use you as a light there if you are willing to be one and as well if your called to be there?

This is really between you and God. It all depends on how he has called you and the leading of the Holy Spirit. I personally would have to have some solid character and not be addicted to drinking and stuff of the nature to stand strong in those places myself.

I hope my understanding and experiences walking with God can help you and others.

Would you be able to make a statement of why you simply say Yes its a sin?

That's like saying if I go into a Casino it's a sin!

It's not the LAW of trying to walk a tight rope for our Holiness.

We are to walk in Christ Jesus and be guided by the Holy Spirit.

You may have ungodly motives and be in a club and yes most likely be sinning. Then again you maybe called there meet people and be a witness to them over time and bring them to Christ Jesus.

Remember when Jesus when into the house with Tax Collector, Prostitutes, Drunkards the and shared the Kingdom of Heaven with them. He was accused of being a friend of Sinners and I am sure even worse things. Yet after spending time with them they joyfully changed there hearts and minds and even the tax collected repented and started handing back taxes!

So we can't be so black and white as Christians! That is more a sin to me than going to a Night Club. It's deeper than that!

It's not about the place we go thats a sin. It's about the motive of our heart and actions in that place that can become sinful.

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides for ever.
1John 2:15-17

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works
in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by
nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Ephesians 2:1-3

While what you are saying is certainly so, let us not forget that this is a general question rather one specific question for one person for one moment in time. Would it be sin to go to a nightclub? In most cases probably, yes, but if God has directed a person to do otherwise than the "in most cases" answer, the person would certainly get in trouble with God by disobeying.

Remember for example the situation where the prophet Hosea was told by God to marry a prostitute. God who never changes would usually not ask us to apparently unequally yoke ourselves with an acknowledged unrepentant sinner [II Cor 3:14], but God works in mysterious ways and we do not always understand. We must always pay attention and be obedient.

To be sure that we do it right, whatever it is, we must "hear" His voice as He speaks to our hearts:

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" John 10:27

1 Therefore, since the Messiah suffered in a mortal body, you, too, must arm yourselves with the same determination, because the person
who has suffered in a mortal body has stopped sinning,
2 so that he can live the rest of his mortal life guided, not by human desires, but by the will of God.
3 For you spent enough time in the past doing what the gentiles like to do, living in sensuality, sinful desires, drunkenness,
wild celebrations, drinking parties, and detestable idolatry.
4 They insult you now because they are surprised that you are no longer joining them in the same excesses of wild living.
5 They will give an account to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
1Peter 4:1-5 ISV

This is why I am a black and white Christian. There is no salvation in fifty shades of grey.

Let's Allow Scripture To Answer This.

2 Corinthians 6:17
Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD. Don't touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.

Romans 12:2
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Blessings
