Let Them Fall

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered
me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself
with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
~Isaiah 61:10

Let Them Fall
(an original work, 2-4-05)

They fall like rain from clouded eyes,
Mingled with blood from a heart that cries-
blood-red tears from one that dies.

Dies alone in billowing grey,
clutching memories of yesterday.
Blinding-bright memories fading away
into cold dark shadows of dismal grey-
Stone-cold memories of yesterday.

They fall like rain from tender eyes,
Mingled with blood from a heart that cries.
Blood-red tears from One that dies.

Dies to see His beloved alone,
Clutching the lover that turned her to stone-
Cold dark memories that turned her to stone.

They fall like rain from adoring eyes,
Mingled tears from love-struck eyes.

The valleys are exalted with blood-red bloom,
Watered by the tears of the Bride and Groom-
Redeeming tears of the Valiant Groom.

Greater love has never been known, by this
Blood-stained heart that once was stone.
MY beating heart that once cried- alone.
