Luke 12:42-48

who's a FAITHFUL steward of HIS lord (believer) when Jesus comes and this man is doing God's will he will be rewarded by Christ with everlasting life.

but if that SAME SERVANT says that Jesus is delayed (not coming when they thought) and this servant drinks and beats his follow servants (believers)
and then Jesus shows up Later and this man has not only become entangled but also overcome(2pet3:20)back to his old life before Christ....
And Jesus cuts him to pieces when he is found overcome and NOW his portions (rewards) are with the unbelievers.....
the believer who knew God's will but didnt do it GETS MANY BEATINGS
the unbeliever who didnt know better (through knowledge of Christ) gets a few beatings....

1. So the same believer can stay the course OR not
2. The unbeliever is not called a servant.

so this also ties in with 2peter 3:20 which Also says the man is worst off than in the beginning before accepting Christ as saviour. As he gets more beatings than an unbeliever which he was at the beginning.

so this also say's osas is not true

fyi so the fallen believer has to take the beating's Christ took for the faithful servant

WhenJesus ask the Father to forgive the romen soldiers for they dont know what they are doing

They knew they were killing Jesus but Jesus said they don't know because they don't know Him as saviour... so above the unbeliever is said to of not known better..

Greetings truth be told,
I am so glad I am not a servan but a son -
Galatians 4:5-7 KJV
5... To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6... And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying Abba Father.
7... Wherefore thou art NO More a servant BUT a SON ; and if a Son then ans Heir of God through Christ.

Thank You Jesus
God Bless
Jim

Hello Jim..

1. Since Jesus is addressed as Master believers would be addressed as servants
2. Only a servant belongs to the master
3. The one who did not know is Not addressed as servant because as an unbeliever he doesn't belong to the master.
4. It is the Servant that is rewarded with all the master has.
5. The servant has 2 choices to make when master is delayed.
6. Unbelievers cannot do God's will only a servant can.
(You can do nothing without me)

Jim
Since the servant is rewarded with all Jesus has are you still saying your glad your not a servant to the Master?
If your a son then who are these's servants who are rewarded the same as son's?

Truth
As a son everything the Father has or the Son Jesus has is already mine (ours)
Study out what it means to be a son and what wee have as sons or children.
As sons or children we still serve God.

Hello Brother "TBT"!
You sure like to use 2 Peter 2:20 as reflecting the fallen believer. :)
I've commented on this before, and was wondering if you have given any thought to what I presented to you concerning 2:20-22? I'll repeat parts of what I mentioned and asked concerning this reference you like to use.

[2Pe 2:20-22 NKJV] 20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."

I've quoted the above, because I do not see where they are talking about a believer here. You may assume they are, but the wording leads me to see it otherwise. I've underlined the key words of the verses you've referenced that lead me to believe that way. I would ask you from these verses if I were to assume that it were talking of believers. Would it not infer that we can be currently considered "a dog" or "a sow"? Of cause not.

We've been changed and still in that process of growth. For those mentioned by Peter it might also appear so for a time they also were changed, but their true nature eventually declared itself. I equate this telling from Peter as another way of communicating the parables of the soils taught by Jesus in Matthew 5:5-7, 13:19-22

Still wondering your thoughts on this my Brother in Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 7:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Then who is it that escape's the world through a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as a Lord and Savior? An unbeliever?

You can have all the knowledge which many do about our Lord and even walk with us a ways, yet in truth don't believe. Sounds good, but when push comes to shove, the world is much more enticing then all the promises in scripture. See the similarity between what Peter is talking about and the parable of the soils? Sad for them isn't it brother?

These people escape knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior
Unbelievers cant refer to him as Lord or Savior
This knowledge is gotten thru Jesus as their lord and savior.

So tell me this? The servant can do Gods will OR that same servant can drink and beat..... so he has 2 choices to make and one is reward and the other is appointed with unbelievers... same man 2 endings his choice.....

Dear Brother.
I'm glad you have faith that the unbeliever/sinner cannot tell a lie, even unknowingly. Having been both. I do not put anything past them.

Knowledge comes from God. Belief comes from God as well. Both are given by God, but only one saves. Knowledge does not save you, but believing it does.

Knowledge does not automatically mean belief. Doing works does not automatically mean belief. Pharisees and Sadducees were perfect examples of having knowledge and some works, but no belief.

Brother, ask a church going person if they believe that Jesus Christ is their Lord or Savior. Everyone will say yes. Stupid question right? They of cause will answer yes. Now ask them how and what makes them saved and you will probably hear everything from "crickets" to "I've been going to church with my family my whole life."

You probably know the following verses, but I'll place them here for you to consider in light of what you have said. When the below happens. Does it mean that everyone is now saved?

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11

Your Brother in the Jesus Christ.
My Lord and Savior.

Note: I underlined the word "should", because depending on the version you use, it will either be excluded or another word such as "acknowledge" will be used. Still it shouldn't take away from the significance of what is being said.

They escape the contamination of the world
(Can an unbeliever escape?)

HOW?
Through the knowledge of the LORD and SAVIOR
JESUS CHRIST.....MESSIAH
(And you think this means an unbeliever) while they can have a knowledge about Jesus they cannot THROUGH as LORD and SAVIOR.....

So when an unbeliever hears the word (knowledge) and he then escape the world? How so? (This is a personal knowledge)

It is your osas that stands in the way... so let me ask you a question sir.....

There are two men doing Gods will when one ask the Father if he can have his inheritance, he then goes out into the world and looses his inheritance and then decides to come back to the Father so he repents and as he is coming (because of repentance) the Father comes to meet him and he says:
you were Dead (out in world)overcome in the pollution's
but Now you live Again...

When he was Dead to the Father do you think he still had salvation?

When he was Dead to the Father do you think he still had salvation?
In this situation the Father is salvation so he came from salvation and always had it but was not experiencing the benefits of it while in the world.
It was the son's own false imagination that caused him to believe he would have to return as a servant.

19 when a man is overcame by corruptness hes in bondage to that corruptness. (he is overcome by the bondage of the world)
21 for it would have been better for them to never know Jesus as savior than after they had known it to turn from the holy commandment delivered them..

22 but after they had vomited out the pollutions of the world they returned to that vomit and a unbeliever who was washed clean by Christ goes back to the world and wallows in it....

Osas is not true... how can one servant get rewarded with ALL the master has or if he goes back into the world he is cut to pieces and gets many beatings (one christ took 4 believers) and is appointed with the unbelievers..

How can same servant to jesus (owned by him) get all Jesus has or fall away and get beat.... if that servant gets rewarded with all he has how can his fate also entail being with unbelievers?

Unless he has choice to stay doing Gods will or when Jesus doesnt show up he loses faith and falls to his vomit and takes it up again.....

The father is God not salvation he is doing his will and he get his share and leaves and looses his share and (if it is salvation then salvation gives him his what? which he looses in the world and is dead to salvation or God?

It is the FATHER WHO SAYS HE IS DEAD... so you feel that God or salvation says your dead your still saved?

Even if he comes from salvation as you say salvation says he is DEAD.... dead to God or Salvation as opposed to ALIVE

how can you really believe when he is dead he is still alive?

Look how it goes hand in hand with the 10 virgins,
The son who stayed is a wise virgin and faithful servant
The son who left was the unwise and unfaithful.

The only difference is that Jesus came and caught them not watching (doing his will) and they lost salvation but this man repented (7 churches) before Christ came and fight against him
Rev:2:16
Repent of your candle stick jesus will remove 2:5

Be faithfull till death get crown of life if you dont you dont get crown of life

Anyway no point of this going on forever.... how you see it is yours to decided as mine

For thought.... if paul waits till Christ is Revealed(2 thess 1:7) to be admired by his saints(1:10), (Phil 2:15-16) why does paul who is shining as a light in the world then hope in the day Christ that he rejoices and has Not labored in vain....

So paul is not sure if he will rejoice Christ coming or have run and labored in vain....

It is the FATHER WHO SAYS HE IS DEAD... so you feel that God or salvation says your dead your still saved?
The Father never said he "is dead".
Luke 15:31“ ‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ ”

Ephesians 2:1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,

Matt 25 the Lord gives money to his servants, the first got 5 2nd got 3 and last got 1... then when Jesus comes to gather his believers he finds the first 2 double what Jesus gave them and he says: enter into the joy of the Lord (eternal life) but the last servant didnt do anything and is cast out into darkness....

They are all seravnts just like they are all virgins but the one who didnt do Gods will looses his salvation..
