Hi I am 36 year old Alaskan Native. I have been sober for over 4 years now. I am no longer addicted to any form of substance. But I still struggle with pornogrphy and adulterous thoughts. I am just afraid of telling my wife about my current struggles because of how I cheated on her before I got saved and how she took it. You can say this is me trying to practice brining to light my problems.

Thank God for what you do have, which, of course, must include an wife who will listen and work with you to move closer to God along with her. Welcome to the forum, friend. I have you in my prayers.

First Keith. Welcome to Talk Jesus.
Seems one of the problems you have is addressed a thread that is highlighted currently.

Click on that link or the one below.
Can I Break an Addiction to Pornography? | Talk Jesus

I pray that you will find the hope, strength, will, wisdom, with God's Mercy through Christ Jesus to overcome the thoughts and desires that seem to have captured your mind at this time.

Increase your time with God, His Word, seeking verses that will fortify your mind against the thoughts that seem to come on you unaware. Meaning when you least expect it, pop the thought is there. Replace those thoughts with Godly ones.

There is also a section for men's section as well as a counseling section that you might want to visit as well.

Go to the Prayer Link below and you will find Brothers & Sisters in Christ Jesus who will pray with you as well.

Once again be welcome to Talk Jesus. I pray that you find the help you're seeking.

Being born again, you, in your own way have confessed to God. This does not mean that you won't still struggle with the desire to see pornography or adulterous thoughts...Jesus has already forgiven that for you. You opening up here is proof that you have a repentant heart and want to improve. With Jesus in you and this attitude, you will be healed. I promise, because of my own experiences with many sins, you stay after it and He will cure you of your problem.
Congratulations on your sobriety success and welcome :thumbsup:!

Thanks everyone the headline is what drew me in. Thank you for the encouragement, it means a lot.
