"""Therefore, if anyone is in Christ they are a new creature"... Now notice the inclusive nature of this statement. It's not "if some people are in Christ"; It's not "within the sphere of Christ there are different degrees", it's not saying "all these carnal people are in Christ, and they are truly Christian, but just a few of them have really sort of matured or kinda caught the idea of what Christianity is all about and are going on with the Lord, and the rest of them who haven't caught on, well they're not maturing, but they are still in Christ". That's not what its saying. It's saying if ANYONE is in Christ, if anyone is saved, they are a new creature. ....Are you a new creature?"""

Hi! TaylorDonBarret
A comment concerning the text, "a new creature": the original language renders this scriptural phrase as 'a new species'. A human birth produces a flesh and blood person, while a spiritual birth produces a spiritual person. Until the arrival of Jesus, such a creature/species was unknown upon the earth; Jesus was the first creature of the countless who have been born again.
It's not that a human becomes remodeled or reformed to live an upright moral life. No. We become an entirely new species! Reborn as supernatural infants and invited to enter into the developmental process of metamorphosis. Not a renewed caterpillar but a butterfly.

AKA, the "first fruits" of the Lord Jesus Christ! James 1:18; I Corinthians 15:20-23; Romans 8:21-23
