I find it interesting it does not mention water being created in Genesis 1. It was already here!
The Spirit moved upon the face of the water.
God does not created confusion...so what is going on in verse 1:2?

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.​

I think this is the short version that includes a Whole Lot of stuff. When God created the earth, I see no reason for that to not include H20? Just sayin.

No, Grace, I'm not talking about a couple of obscure verses. What I am saying is that Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel all lived after Adam and Eve and wrote books for us to learn something about God etc. Even if I conceded to you that there was in fact a world before Adam and Eve that was destroyed etc, why are there no books from someone that existed from this period? Their lives meant nothing to us ( or at least me ) when it comes to a relationship with God. Do you see what I am saying? What does it mean to you if there had been another world, Grace?

Well, I agree that it is definitely a good idea to stay open-minded about things. We put ourselves in a sad state when we begin thinking that we know everything.

It is not dangerous to dig out truths that are in His word. As I said before God created it all! But I see Jeremiah pointing to a time that has not happened or happened before Genesis 1:2.

Who was there there at this time to deceive? Also if Satan didn't fall until after the garden was created, how could he deceive anyone during this time?

So you disagree that the angel who rebelled against against God in the garden of Eden in Ezek 28:13-14; is Satan?

BAC, this is a study in progress! I believe Satan rebelled against God, but I am open to a Garden of Eden possibly being in the world before Adam and Eve.

There are some things that just do not add up with the end times. I am still searching and studing this so I will look deeper into Jeremiah!

This could also be translated became formless and void, or "tohu" and "bohu" in the Hebrew. In the prophets God says that He did not create the world "tohu" and "bohu".

I believe this text from Ezekiel 28:11-19 is also referring to the casting of Satan from heaven and this is what happened after the initial creation and before the refilling of it in 6 literal days later in Chapter 1. Dr Donald Grey Barnhouse taught this on his program "The Bible Study Hour" and wrote about it in his book "The Invisible War". Notice that the garden of Eden here is a place of mineral beauty like the new heavens and earth and is not a place of plant and animal life. This explains how Satan was already on earth when the rest of the current creation came into being.

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD:

“You were the seal of perfection,
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
You were in Eden, the garden of God;
